  • If you want to grow your abs, you have to build your upper and lower rectus abdominis and obliques. Let me show you top three exercises to build these muscles based on EMG data. To target the upper abs, perform crunches using cables. To target the lower abs, do hanging leg raises. To target the obliques, perform bicycle crunches.

    Form stuff for the first two:
    1. Only do cables crunched by rounding your back. That’s what your abs do, round the back. No other movement should be happening. Be careful of that, you might move other things without realizing.
    2. You can do leg raises on Roman chairs or something similar if you can’t hang for long. Raise your hips a little bit too like he does in the video before you go down.
    Always remember to control your weight on the way back and don’t let it free fall. You kill gains like that.

      Bicycle crunches are a good overall ab exercise. There are plenty of good ab exercises to be done on the floor with no equipment. Ask Google what are some good ab workouts. You can be more specific about the upper, lower, or obliques.

    Kinda hard to hang for a long time when doing leg raise, what is the average rep y'all did in this workout?

      Do them on the pull up-dip stuff. You rest your back on the black pad and keep your arms resting on the bars and holding the handles and leg raise like that.

      Doing ab work will not melt away love handles. If you want to lose those, it is up to your dietary choices.
      Back training is largely simple; do a vertical pull like a lat pull-down or pull-up, and a horizontal pull like a barbell or dumbbell row

      Lose weight to get rid of love handles. You can’t do anything else about them
