Congrats for pushing through the discomfort and launching your site! 🎉 It's well worth it and gives your brand a dedicated space. I totally get not wanting to have the extra expense of a website and trying to keep overhed costs down. I personally like Fourthwall to sell physical items. You can build a free - yet still relatively feature-rich - website and only pay a small platform fee when you make a sale. Like Etsy, Fourthwall functions as your merchant of record which means you don't have any hassle with taxes, invoicing, etc. and just collect your monthly payout. It's great for both POD and self-made items. What caused me gripe this week? Content marketing. It's like sport. I know I need it but it's like pulling teeth. Just like sport I do feel much better afterwards though. 😂
Oooh I know nothing about that site so I will Google it! It's always helpful to know what resources are out there. Ok re: content marketing -- i feeel you on that one. It took me way too long to make my last tiktok video lol But there's so many different ways to make content (eg text against moving images, a photo carousel, vlog etc) I've decided to actually plan it out (eg.: 3 videos/week - these are the topics - this is the footage i need )nand then bulk create on a Sunday. Good luck to you, you'll get there
I relate on so many of the points you brought up! I'm really struggling with trying and possibly failing (publicly by posting about my buisness?), my friends are super supportive, but I still feel embarrassed about it for some reason? But I am working on just doing it and allowing the discomfort🌻
It's hard right? It's as if we feel embarrassed because we are just starting out so logically we don't have that many customers/subscribers. But on the other side of that I'm sure there are so many ppl that quietly admire you for betting on yourself and believing in yourself. It might take a few years to get there but it'll be so juicy and fulfilling once there. Best of luck to you, YOU'VE GOT THIS!!! :)
