An artist turned small business owner, riding the waves of entrepreneurship and motherhood. Think a SAHM of 2 meets a niche, cute, Caribbean stationery business. Cheers to shamelessly confronting our fears, allowing them to be swallowed whole by our determination. Here's to hoping we find each other, community. xo Dani

I see that you ar using Square for email marketing was well have you ever considered moving to Shopify? Im currently looking into it and it seems cheaper with more include even though square seemed cheaper at first but has more add ons. PS It is wild watching you walk around my neighbourhood I didn't realize you were so close to me. If you ever wanted to grab a coffee and chat small business let me know

Love your energy girl, I can feel it through the screen! Appreciate you and the planter loveee🥰✨
@@dmurrellcox haha thanks friend!! And of course, I love my lil Dre planter 💜 my daughter gave him a hug before heading to school 😅
Confidence and humility CAN co-exist. Stay encouraged, Sis! ❤
@@TangieHenry 💯agree!! I’m stepping into it with both! thanks for spending time with me 💜
I'm sorry the ads didn't work out. Your mindset is positive, too. Take it as a learning experience and get excited about this new plan. I love the outfit reminds me of snow and winter 💙
@@JadaBstudio Yes exactly!! I can’t wait to sit down and plot everything that I’d like to work towards for 2025! thanks for the encouragement 💜🥰
Maybe you can add the shipping costs in your prices to absorb the cost. Make the product a little higher so shipping may be flat or free?
That's an idea I considered, I think I was just hesitant to increase the prices just yet. I guess I was hopeful that an agreement would take place. The postal workers have now been mandated back to work so let's see how it goes!
Girl you a trooper i can not do out door markets at this time it is too cold. I rather do a hot market. 😅
oh FACTS my dear, I have learned my lesson the hard way lol 😅😅
💜💜💜
❤😊❤
Keep up the good work I have my own channel but I love to watch other people channels my self .Keep going sis I support you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ohh i gotta check it out! and thank you I appreciate the words of encouragement!
I love your vendor shop set-up!
Thank you Camisha! When I tell you i've come a long way 😅😅
Hi, is that a specific app you are using for time blocking?
@@dontmatter9252 I’m tracking it in Notion! It’s a fun app where you can sort of manage your workspace
Thank you for your transparency and freely sharing information. Stay encouraged!
I receive the love. thank you for watching! 🌻
I love it
thank you! hugs 💜
Tra a glue dot or a glue stick with the belly bands might look better than the tape
Noted!! I don't know why I didn't even consider glue 😩 but you know what, the tape isn't any eye sore! next batch I'll try the glue stick, thanks Dani 💜
Did you get the notepads manufactured or did you hand print everything yourself?
I got them manufactured this round but I plan on investing in some equipment at which point I'll attempt to make it myself. I've watched a few tutorials and it seems simple enough
I completely understand the warm feeling you get when someone is just as excited about what you make as you are! 🧡 it really is a great feeling it does help when those negative thoughts come in.
it really does something for the soul! I know we should seek outside validation but what an energy booster it is!
This was fun to watch!!❤️got you a new subscriber!!
yayyy! welcome home queen 💜
I'm in a similar situation. I want to use Shopify but I think its way to too expensive, and they never offer discounts (only the two week trial period). Other places are cheaper but will it work as well.
I think Square and Wix are perhaps some affordable options but learn from my mistakes 😅 If you've done your research and feel strongly about what you're seeking to build, invest the money in getting a website done right! Best of luck, hugs!
Amazing video, so transparent! Looking forward to more, keep documenting the journey. I also have a small business and I can relate so much!
aww thanks so much, I appreciate you watching this!
Do you have a list of grants or something? Where are you finding all of these grants?
@@DaniAlexandria ouuff I wish! I swear once I applied for the first one the algorithm started showing me a couple more. Do you happen to follow Efosa - it’s a mailing list/IG where they post about upcoming markets, sometimes grants in Ontario
OMG, the algorithm really did me a favor tonight. I've never seen Jamaica portrayed in such a wholesome way before (coming from a J'can gal) 🙌🏾 Your designs are beautiful. I can totally see sophupshop becoming a huge thing for us Carib natives 💞 Subscribed for more!

Why did you make the “eeewugh” sound when you described twisting dreads ? Sounds like you’re trying to pander tons specific audience …weird !
@@thetruthandnothingbutthetr6484 I rock my locs proudly, no need to infer otherwise. If I were trying to pander to a specific audience I wouldn’t be rocking them now would I.
