My favorite is silver mountain water. The smell of clear winter sky, crystal water with ice, snow in which the juicy currant grows. Girls go crazy. I adore!
Stop! You're making me want to buy it!
That will most likely be my next bottle of creed
My favorite Creeds are Royal Oud,Aventus, and Viking!
Hey hunter, I’m a frag guy also, found your Chanel today and subscribed, if you haven’t given royal mayfair a chance you need to, give it a few wearing and you will fall in love, the first time I tried it I hated it, now I love it
Scott Ryan Thanks man I appreciate it! Have heard many good things about Royal Mayfair I’m gonna I’ve to get my nose on it!
Also my top 3 from the house
@@scottryan5193 _"found your Chanel today"_
LOL
Great review.
Glad you mentioned Viking as tops, as I think it's so different and unique and also agree Royal Oud is special.
Viking just really hits the spot on every wearing.
I'm glad that Royal Mayfair is in the list. Its very underrated. I love the rose scent together with the quite herbal, but pleasant eucalyptus with the woody pine. It feels very royal and classy. It's my second favourite from the house behind Aventus.
By the way, great list, man! 👍
Between the cuts, the zooms, the graphics, and the b-roll your channel really stands out in a very positive way right now. 👍
Much appreciated Aaron 🙏
I'm loving Viking as well! The first time I wore it I wasn't expecting that opening and wasn't sure I would like it. As the day wore in the fragrance seems to evolve in a very interesting way. By the end of that day I was hooked! There's so much going on with it, and it does so well on my skin it's become a regular for me in all occasions. Very versatile, all around great great fragrance! Glad you had it at #1 too!
Great video! I own Aventus, Green Irish Tweed and Viking myself. If I was to add another two to my collection it would be Erolfa and Silver Mountain Water, definitely need to sample Bois Du Portugal though 👍
Really enjoyed this one Chris. Great having such positive content from the community to enjoy during this difficult time. Your passion for the hobby is really obvious. If I had to make a list it would probably look like this
5. Aventus
4. Millésime Imperial
3. Green Irish Tweed
2. Royal Oud
1. Spice and Wood
Hard to just pick five and Silver Mountain Water was hard not to include
Nice list Alexander 👌
Nice list. My top 5 (and like you, the only ones which I have bottles for so far) are Virgin Island Water, Green Irish Tweed, Himalaya, Viking, and Bois du Portugal. Royal Oud is on my list and I want to try some samples of Original Santal and Aventus Cologne to see how they do off my skin.
My favourites, apart from Aventus of course, are:
Viking
Silver Mountain Water
Arolfa
Spice and Wood
Royal Oud
Ordered sample after watching your description 🙂. It's only been 3rd day and I am so gonna buy it, you are right it's the best creed.
Great video, Chris. Enjoy your channel here and the Podcast. Cheers from Texas
Love the aesthetics of the juice bottles in the apple tree, very cool.
Yeah it looked nice with the sun shining
Great video and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try these fragrances and have a blessed day
Great video and love the t-shirt!
Glad to see a reviewer give props to Viking...it's also my favorite Creed. I love to wear it in colder weather. For me, it cuts through those lower temps and I get really good performance. My second spot goes to Virgin Island Water.
Thank you! Thank you!
I almost was scared Viking didn't make the list. And yes it is my favorite as well. However, I havn't smelled the others mentioned on the video. Will order some decants now. 😅👍🏼
Hi, try Green Irish Tweed as well
Yeah loving Viking right now!
Yes Viking, amazing complex scent , very underrated. If only the price would be a little less....
Love this video mate, think I’d go with
1) GIT
2) VIW
3) Viking
4) Royal Mayfair
5) Royal Oud
Cheers Nik. I like GIT but for some reason doesn't vibe with me as much as the others.
IMHO, Viking, Royal Oud and Bois Du Portugal are the Creeds people actually deserve and need to know about more. All masterpieces and some of the greatest frags money can buy.
Nice video too brighten up a Sunday morning.currently own mi and smw, torn between Viking or royal oud next
Both solid options!
I finally just got a full bottle of Viking and I'm reaching for it so much. The longevity isn't as bad as the samples I had before. Not great but a good 5-6 hours on my skin.
Another great content Chris, the only Creed I have atm is your top favorite Viking, I do love Viking it was a love at first sniff, I good a good price for it, out of all places Costco sells Creed fragrances, so anyways have a great, wonderful, blessed, positive, productive and safe weekend and to you and your family stay safe
Your one Creed is a good one to own!
Excellent vid pal, keep posting 👍🏻
Thanks!
Got my nose on Spice and Wood at the store and just ordered a bottle. I'll have to give it a few wears before I 100% know where it falls in the favorites category but it really impressed me when I smelled it for the first time.
Aventus junkie here, and damn, that cheesy, self sarcastic ''Conquer the day'' line after the viking inspired imagery, hit me so hard it left a concussion :'D
Your energetic vibe is always a pleasure to watch, keep at it ! :D
New to the fragrance game, so I don't own any bottles of Creed, but I have bought my wife several bottles of Fleurissimo over the years so I am aware of the house. Thanks for sharing your favorites!
Great list. Royal Oud is their best offering to me. I have major performance issues...with Viking ...otherwise id wear that one a lot. I usually get 10+ hrs on any Creed but Viking is like 4-6. Original Santal would probably round out my top 3.
I have performance issues with Viking too. I mean from the very beginning. It dies off really fast. But I think it is me and mint-heavy fragrances. I have the same issue with Guerlain Homme and Homme Intense with their menthol mojito accord. They are like slightly scented water to me. You bad too. I really like the scent of Viking. That us, what I actually can smell of it.
Your English humor is so great. Love your videos. Peace from Brooklyn, Chris Bro.
Thanks mate👍
Man I always forget how much i love Royal Mayfair that eucalyptus note melding with the rose is beautiful . Great list
Yes, only reserved for the classiest gents!
I’m glad you included Royal Mayfair. It is completely underrated and is a fragrance that can really hit the spot when you are in the right mood.
Yes the right mood is essential!
Just got a partial of Viking yesterday. IT’S INCREDIBLE!!!
Interesting to see what others gravitate towards in the same house and how your choices may differ or have similarities to your own ✊
Royal oud or spice&wood arso probably my favourite from them.
Royal Oud seems a popular choice in these comments!
Awesome job Chris!! Really enjoy your channel and the aesthetics. Hope you’re doing well mate! Love from your friend Mega Dave in the states
Appreciate that Mega Dave!
Hi.
That's a nice list :)
I have a story for you about Viking: I got a sample of Viking after buying GIT (it was in autumn) and after smelling it for the first time I wasn't pleased, because the smell was too much for me, and I put it in a box with my other samples that I don't see the use for. So the time went by and last year me and my wife went on vacation to a country with a hot climate and since I don't have any small bottles in my collection of perfumes that I love - I took some samples from the box, one of the samples was Creed Viking. One day, while being on vacation, I applied Viking and was blown away of how fresh and interesting it smelled on me (pink pepper OMG). So for me it stands out as the most interesting summer fragrance that I smelled and is full bottle worthy.
So long story short, if you are put off by a smell at first sniff, try the perfume at a different time or on a different day (warm/cold or rainy/sunny).
Thanks!
Pavels
Great advice. Viking is definitely one of my top picks for Summer.
I sniffed all creeds and fell in love with original santal, royal oud is also very good, virgin island too but my fav is def original santal . I like the fruity aventus rather than the smokey one
1.aventus 2.green irish tweed 3.millesime imperial 4.original santal 5.silver mountain water
I have GIT, VIW, MI, SMW and Aventus. MI is my favourite. Picking up Viking next
Viking is a great fragrance it's got a slight smell of brut in there somewhere which I love and can get away with wearing brut deodorant and viking which is odd ,it's old school with a modern twist and had more than I thought compliments off of it great vid as normal
I bought millesime, vetiver and silver mountain..since aventus is such a banger and pretty much everyone have it, i dont want to buy it. After your video, i consider trying viking and santal. thanks alot for your reviews! always on point!
Thanks for tuning in 👍
I LOVE Royal Oud. One of the best Creeds available.
I was in a Creed Boutique this weekend and smelled Royal Oud, I would have swore the Sheik just walked in with his entourage, it was absolutely that regal. Love the Aventus Cologne, like Aventus but with a more orange type of citrus opening, not as smoky, but very fresh with the Bergomot. I did pick up a travel size Original Santal, and it was such a divine oriental type frag, beautiful dry down.
Original Santal ❤️. My fav Creed even more than Aventus 😃!
I have heard the all of the pro, cons, lauding and bashing of aventus, and I have Explorer which I really like and wear quite often, but I just ordered my first bottle of aventus in order to form my own opinion.
Hi chris- i recently watched a video where the channel did a tier list of their favourite niche houes in one vid and fave designers in another. It was done using a tier list maker online ranking from A to F or something like that. It was highly enjoyable to watch and i was wondering if you too could do a video with this format?
Yes I've seen this format. Nice idea👍
FRAG-MENTAL talking FACTS. Royal Mayfair is my favorite of the five.
It's such a class scent
Great choices Chris, and great video. Niche perfumes are overpriced in general, in my opinion. There are tons of fragrances that will help you smell really good at an iota of those prices. As for creed though, I do like them, just haven’t really had the extra cash to spare to purchase them. My 3 faves are GIT, Viking, and BDP in that order. At this point I only own GIT though. I wear it sparingly to make it last. As for BDP, have you ever gotten your nose on Lalique Pour Homme? Smells quite similar to BDP, and I really dig it. And, finally, Viking is amazing. I’m saving up for it as we speak.
Anyway, thanks Chris. Be well and stay safe! 💪👍🍻
Thanks JW. Hope you can enjoy your bottle of Viking soon!
Hey sir, nice video again. I don t agree on your view on aventus, clones or not that does not change the quality of the fragrance my humble opinion. I Think you can love it or not like it regardless.
Royal Oud is my favorite.it was the very first Creed I bought. When I wear it I feel like I own the room.i love Viking and Git
Yes that's such a great feeling!
Hi there enjoyed the vlog. What site did you say you picked up RM from?
Matts bloodaxe is fantastic if you don’t want to use up Viking. Viking is my fave bottle. I’m intrigued by erolfa. Have you tried it? Great vid as always 😊
Yes bloodaxe is 🔥 I have a sample of Erolfa but prefer Elysium out of the two.
Haha you're a funny man Chris I enjoy your humour! Loving your videos all the way from Australia
Cheers Jake👍
Nice list M8!
I have a 30ml decant of Mayfair that I need to revisit. I just couldn't get into it, but it's probably been 3 years ago. Royal Oud has made it's way in and out of my collection twice, but I do need to scoop it back up!
2 more underrated gems are Royal Water and Neroli Sauvage, and then of course my baby Himalaya. I do have a vid of what my actual top 5 are though 😉
Aventus
GIT
SMW
MILLĒSIME
Himalaya
Favorite fragrance for summer is VIW
Thanks bro. Royal Water seems to get a decent amount of love. I need to grab a decant and get some full wearings in!
@@FRAGMENTAL I don't know how much energy it would take to crank the portal back up for me to send you a nice decant for the summer! 😉
I didn't like viking for some reason but might give it a second chance after this crisis. Aventus blew me away not really because of scent alone but because the batch i smelled had 3 layers/dimension and smelled extremely natural that changed every 2-3hrs and lasted a reasonable 12hrs.
Loved the b roll fantastic 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻, Creed oh Creed they are a bit of an enigma house to me.Totally overpriced but they retain plenty of quality for sure. The house has many questions marks to answer to, batch variations, the use of the word “original “ performance issues with some of their freshies MI, and Erolfa to name a couple and some of their scents do lean a bit dated(imo).I personally think if your minted or don’t mind paying high prices for fragrances then Creed is always going to be an option (not as I’m saying your minted lol 😂) because they are held in high esteem and carry plenty of prestige, personally I think there are some better options to be had from other niche houses at better price points(not talking about my normal cheapies that I feature) but they range from £180-£250 that’s a lot for fragrances that aren’t always unique , have performance issues and your not sure what batch variation you’ll end up with.I’ll finish off by saying if I ever won the lottery then I’d have a shelf full of Creed ,but until that day happens it’s clones, copies and imitations for me haha 😆 good job buddy 👍
Totally valid concerns about the house mate and useful that you highlighted them for other viewers to think about. I'd never pay full retail!
I just picked up Green Irish Tweed and I love it
Interesting point of thoughts.
My favorite is Creed Virgin Island Water. Especially during the summer time. Females love it 💪🏾
Original Santal and Viking are my clear favorites!
My favorites are: neroli sauvage, green Irish tweed, aventus, silver mountain, Viking
My top 5:
1 Aventus
2 Green irish tweed
3 MI
4 Silver mountain water
5 original Vetiver
Wish i could add Virgin island Water some day
Virgin island water smells generic. Like something you can get from bath & body works
Great choices and I agree with the list. 👍-Nik
Thank you mate👍
My favorite Creed are: Erolfa, Green Irish Tweed, Millésime Impérial, Viking and Royal Mayfair.
Millesime is a gem.
Chris sorry to go off in a tangent from Creed but I I am wearing La nuit de l'homme today and as it does not last long it got me thinking of a video that you reviewers have not covered, at least I think that no one has and as you are England's answer to Mr Fragrance I think that you would be the best person to ask..... What are the top ten longest lasting designer EDT fragrances? Can you do it Chris Fragrance?
Chris beautiful video thank you so much, I love creed parfums, about Original Santal, how about compliments from woman? Do they like this fragrance on a man?
Yes, very easy to like.
Royal Oud, Himlaya, Silver Mountain Water, Aventus, Green Irish Tweed. Or though I now prefer more subtle fragrance, hence Himlaya n SMW being further up the list
Himalaya is possibly the most underrated Creed out there. Great for semi formal events. 👍
Yeah Chris, well done! Can't wait for the Viking-Haters to crawl out of their holes. People seem to be too focused on Aventus and its impact on the fragrance-world as a whole (Sauvage, Bleu de Chanel, etc.). My favorite Creed is also Viking (because it is so unique), but I also love Sublime Vanille and Jardin d'Amalfi (especially in the spring/summer, you have to try it, I think it is actually quite unisex). Those are my top 3.
Royal Oud and Original Santal are also nice picks I like. When it comes to fragrances like Aventus and Silver Mountain Water, I think they are easily wearable and good, but smell too mainstream today to differ from those overused cheaper fragrances (like Sauvage).
(Edit) By the way: Jesus Christ, this Viking-story you created. Are you ok, Chris? :D
Nah but I honestly think that the name Viking suits the fragrance quite well. People tend to believe that a fragrance called Viking has to smell like war, blood, crushed heads or something. I call that bullshit. A story like the one you created in the video may sound strange, but I think this is the context in which the name Viking has to be explained. Adventure, fire (pepper), ice (mint) and strength (Patchouli).
Well done, Chris!
Yes vikings were travellers and explorers not just savage warriors. I'm pretty sure I'm not ok 🤪
Are there any batch variations in Original Santal? Which one would you recommend, old 120ml bottle or new 100ml?
To be quite FRANK Chris I also really enjoy Bois de Portugal your review quality and cinematography are excellent 👍🏻
You're very kind, thank you Russell 👍
Love the viking story 😃
Nice vid! What are your thoughts on Tabarome if you've smelled it?
I liked it but need to spend more time with it.
That shirt looks like it's very SMELLY!
The smelliest shirt I have!
Be hilarious if he opened up with: Hi I’m Tom Hiddleston lol. Great video!
Great list very unique
The problem with Adventus is the batch variations. If I buy a fragrance I want it to smell the same as the last bottle.
I don't know if you care, but there is this nice Italian niche/Indie-house called Carthusia and I bought their Capri Forget me not EDP. I didn't find any reviews, and I don't need one, but I just wanted to tell you, that if you have a chance to smell it, you really should.
Greetings from Germany!
Btw. Great Video!!!!
I bought a decant of Carthusia's "Mediterraneo", but it was basically just lemon juice. Seriously underwhelming, sold on the back of a rumour that it's a fave of George Clooney's.
I have tended to get decants to give them a chance, I only have a top 4 but will at least explain
1 BDP - I also have a bottle of Pocket Scents Lisboa which is identical to my nose and a quarter of the price
2 Royal OUD - Just brilliant
3 Tabarome - not too much said about this, but I like it and you can get a 100ml bottle for under £150
4 Erolfa - Great sea inspired summer scent
I struggle to find a fifth on my list reason being I've tried MI, Aventus, GIT, I've even gone out with the intention of buying, but in the end decided not, and have gone with clones or inspirations. for MI its now CDNM, Aventus - CDNI, and GIT, I prefer Parfums Vintage - Emerald Isle
I just bought Pure white and I love Sublime vanille.
Got my nose on Viking about a year ago and it’s by far my favorite Creed. Milleseme Imperial is probably my second. Rocking those Fragcom t-shirts, when is yours coming out?? 😁
You have impeccable taste mate. I'm thinking on those shirts. They'd have to be damn cool!
FRAG-MENTAL I’d be willing to bet you’d come up with something kick ass
My favorites
Aventus
Green Irish Tweed
Silver mountain water
Tabarome Millisime
Bois du Portugal
Himalaya
Least favorite: Neroli Sauvage
A few days ago I was deciding should I buy Royal Mayfair or Hdp Fidelis. I went for Fidelis which is probably the best offer from Hdp. Royal Mayfair will have to wait a few months I guess. The price on Royal Mayfair for 75ml is literary in the designer realm.
Yes it's fantastic value!
My favorites are aventus, milisime imperial, original santal, and aventus cologne.
Royal Oud, Viking, Silver Mountain Water, Aventus Cologne, and either Erolfa or Green Irish Tweed
BDP is a great scent. Definitely an older gentleman scent. It’d be hard for the young bucks to pull it off. I personally put it in my top 5. Royal Oud has got to be the #1 Creed.
Royal Oud is the best for me in their entire line. It’s a masterpiece, ingredients smell really expensive too and the blend is done to perfection. People literally stop me and ask what I’m wearing. Intoxicating smell.
Is there that horrible peppery scent in royal Oud like there is aventus?
Nice add on's 👌
My current order is 1. Aventus, 2. Aventus Cologne, 3. GIT, 4. Viking, 5. SMW
Why is everyone talking about Creed only being overpriced? How about Xerjoff, MFK, Nishane, Roja Dove(these guys sell frags that cost twice the price of creed frags) and so on, why nobody talks about niche pricing policy in general? Im not a Creed fan, but all the hate goes towards this house always.
Because Creed is at the top of the niche fragrance world. They have a higher distribution then the other lines you mentioned. It’s human nature to hate on the people or organizations at the top of their field.
Because I can buy a Nishane for 150usd, it'll last 12+ hours, it'll smell the same every year, it's more unique, and it's just as high quality. A comparable Creed will last 4-5 hours, will be skin scent after 45 minutes, and will have 657 clones for which cost ⅛ the price.
Xerjoff is also the only brand I'll pay full retail for any day of the week. You can't compare the quality of xerjoff to Creed. They are impeccable.
@@jacobradden 1) What are u talking about, dude? Nishane costs around 200+$ for 50 ml, show me the place where you can get 100ml for 150$.
2) The are heavy discounts on Creed, because of their massive production, there is no need to pay full retail price. I actually bought my SMW and GIT for 150$ each one, 100ml.
3) Not all Creeds have performance issues and I've never met a clone that would smell as good as the original. If you talking about Aventuis, I've tried like 7-8 different clones, and none of them come close. Clones may be good as an addition, but not alternative. If you want Aventus scent, buy Aventus. My opinion.
Xerjoff is a great house, but they have got some very generic scents for high prices. Performance is good with them, no doubt.
The only house I would pay full retail anytime is Amouage. Performance, presentation, uniqueness are all there. Never disappointed me.
Creed fragrances do seem to be overpriced, and (getting pricier), if we are to believe the stories of their products being "watered down". I can't comment on that, as I'm too new to the niche frag game, but it does seem to be a fairly common observation. It's hard not to be critical if their fragrance quality / longevity is decreasing while the cost is increasing.
1- millesime imperial
2-Aventus
3- SMW
4-Erolfa
5-Himalaya
My Top 5:
1. Aventus
2. Viking
3. Irish Tweed
4. Silver Mountain
5. Royal Oud
I really like Himalaya. Any thoughts on this one?
I enjoyed the sample I had. I'd love to spend more time with it.
Himalaya is one of the most underrated creeds imo.
@@rnmdr181 That's very true. I recently tried it on a friends' s recommendation and loved it
I recently tried it on a friends' s recommendation and loved it
yeah bro! VIKING all the way!!
💪
Original santal is amazing to my nose it was my first creed I got got thr 4 0z bottle so it will last me lol so I have os ov smw aventus git plan on getting viw wish it lasted longer and want to try royal oud and viking soon
Santal is ultra versatile. Lovely!
I just had a thought that was interesting, but possibly not all that original.
When you were talking about Boise de Portugal you mentioned that the lavender gave it an old fashioned feel. I totally understand what you're getting at when you say that. People always say it smells like their grandparents. However, OUR grandchildren will associate what we consider "modern" to be old-fashioned.
I thought this was interesting. Will ambrox bombs and heavy iso e super and "aventus-y" and "blue" fragrances be considered "grandad" fragrances in the future? Could lavender and things like that make a comeback in 50 years as unique notes for fragrances? I know between now and then stuff like lavender and other things like that will continue to be used but I'm curious if the "old man" aspect of it will slowly die down and possibly even reverse into something "new" and exciting. Any thoughts?
You make some great points. It's hard to know which accords become associated with specific time periods and which remain timeless. Time will tell!
Is it safe to buy high end colognes, like Creed, at discount websites? Im always afraid they dilute the cologne or do something in order for them to sell it at a vastly cheaper price. Anyone have any experience with this?
My favorite creeds are original santal original vetiver and aventus cologne and himalaya
My top 5
Virgin Island Water
Viking
Erolfa
Original Santal
Himalaya
Nice!
Erolfa smells like Millisime Imperial to me but I prefer Erolfa. And Himalaya has great performance on me.
i have 13 creed bottles and viking is not one of them, although i do have a decant. not sure if it's bottle worthy. i rather have taberome Millesime
Bois d Portugal can be achieved with lalique pour homme which devalues it for me the same way CDIM devalues aventus for me.
GIT, Aventus, Original Santal, Milesime Imperial
Hey Chris, No mention of Silver Mountain water, virgin island water or Millisime Imperial? Maybe you aren’t discussing unisex ones?
They're great but not in my top 5.
