- This is a sound comparison, for a 2020 Triumph Rocket 3R, between the stock exhaust and a Competition USA Werkes aftermarket exhaust. The switch-out was really simple and used the stock brackets and bolts. The stock exhaust sensor also fitted perfectly into the new pipes. USA Werkes do not ship to New Zealand so I had to get the unit delivered to my mother-in-law in Houston who then sent it down to me. So, probably the only one in New Zealand.

No way. New exhaust looks much better. I’d be tempted to take some high temp black paint to that heat shield tho.
You can't look at them while you ride. But you can listen the entire ride!
I have a 2021 just like this one and would not change a single thing as it is a piece of art as it is. the hardware the eccentric controls everything is just perfect in my opinion. 😎😎

Sounds super cool. Definitely an upgrade in those terms. But looks wise the stock looks far better. Not sure if the designers put some thought into the design. Anyways, enjoy the bike, its beautiful; especially love it in Red.
The "smiles per hour" on that thing have got to be through the roof!

When these bikes are selling used for half the price they are brand new, I am going all in on this bike. Especially the GT model with the forward controls. I would love to give my 85 year old grandma a ride on that one :D

So i just bought my 2021 triumph rocket 3GT in Crystal white "the only one in the world produced from the factory in this color 1 of 1". With 1300 miles 😊 I've taken it for two rides and though i absolutely love it......I already ordered my competition werkes exhaust!

I too have a Rocket 3 in the Gt Triple Black version and I really do like the sound of the Werks exhaust but the only reason I haven't purchased the exhaust is the look/lines that it has...it doesn't flow right. It almost looks like it's falling off or not installed correctly.
They kind of look "jammed into" the exhaust housing......you can tell it's aftermarket. Great sound, though. Horsepower increase??
My doesnt look like that, I have the same bike and same exhaust. Mine has both pipes level with the ground and eachother. The exhaust also turns to more of the gold color like the headers after a bit, looks better. I do agree that the stock exhaust does look better, Especially on the left side where the empty spot looks odd.
@@conanlive3784 Yeah there''s very little aftermarket support for Rocket 3. If you want kick ass pipes that also look like they came from factory you need them custom made.
Don’t mean to be disrespectful beautiful bike I love the triumph rocket three and if people want to have upgrades then that’s great but I like the look of the existing exhaust system, I just think that if you want something more powerful why the hell don’t they make it look even better?, just my opinion

Well before I even hear the bike... good job not putting the mic right by the exhaust, however not good to hear the bike in an echoing garage, lol. Well you did great by leaving everything the same for both sounds! Something looks funny, maybe you can remove that bracket as it's not lining up with the new exhaust and you sure you don't have those on wrong? It seems weird that the bottom one is longer? Maybe they need to be switched?

I was thinking in Zard exhaust system but it's very expensive for the weight losed.
This exhaust appears to be at least 10 kg lighter.
I'm in Spain I don't know if they send it to Europe.

That sounds like a madman! I'm wondering does anyone make a 3-3 header system for the R3 like they made the 6-6 header system for the old Valkyries. That would look monster and sound like a top fuel machine. Your scoot looks and sounds GREAT.
The stock are v attractive. I reckon gut them if possible, for better sound and maybe even performance…
Did you invalidate your warrant? Triumph suggests that they don't support exhaust add ons!

You can measure how loud this new attenuator is in decibels (dB). In Poland, only 96 (dB) decibels are allowed. There are smartphone applications that measure the volume.
we have similar rules here in Australia Seb BUT if you own a Harley Davison those same rules dont apply to you apparently

Original pipes look and sound the blast, driving with those for long distance would be too much, but that is a personal choice.

If you like the sound of the "swap" then that's what matters.
I love the stock sound of my beautifully sculpted premium stainless-steel pipes on my 2.5L RHINO just as is --STOCK.
Listening to the comparison at of the stock pipes at 1:04 vs the Werkes at 2:20 there's no comparison. I love the original "turbine" sound like a Lion roaring. The Werkes sound like your violent ripping the face off of a wild animal and too close to an Indian Scout Bobber.
The beautiful, sculpted stock pipes just make the Rocket POP with looks and timbre!

Can you wear a helmet with those? I put V&H on my V-Rod, now the echo is so bad i can't wear a helmet with them. Im really thinking about buying a new Rocket and was wondering about the echo on these mufflers.

Do you know how does it sound with the original exhaust completly empty? Just cut it,send all the steel out and weld it again,definitly the machine looks awfull with kinda horrible pipes...

Looks like a regular bike chock for trailers, etc. Harbor freight has them.

If you're going to be revving bikes the rear wheel should be up and do it in gear so there's some rolling resistance when you rev it up
Where in the world did you learn that. You actually rev your bike while it's in gear and the wheel off the ground. How dangerous is that......
@@kugangles9860 not dangerous but you're not supposed to rev in neutral, the tire needs to be rolling that's what dynos are for and wheel stands are pretty stable as long as the front is locked in on a stand too...

Leave it stock. The Werkes looks like tennis ball cans. Unless you have an inline four and can do a 4 into one, you are wasting your time.
