Tesla has full self driving and it says you need to have your hands on the wheel at all times, being aware. Also a third party is recording you inside your car while on that mode. The Tech is good but not extraordinary

It’s partially the driver’s fault since they can disable auto pilot if it tries to do something reckless, and if you won’t touch the steering wheel after a while it will beep at you and if you ignore that then it will pull over
Somewhat similar situation was when a Tesla rammed a crash truck in a construction zone, the weather was terrible and Auto pilot failed to recognize the truck but the driver didn’t notice as well up until the collision

Cars can't cause "accidents." Drivers do.
And VERY FEW collisions are "accidents." The vast majority of crashes are due to irresponsible behavior behind the wheel. Incompetence, ignorance, arrogance, malice, aggression, selfishness, criminal behavior, distraction, impairment, drunkenness, drug intoxication and just plain STUPIDITY are the causes of almost all crashes.
If someone values objectivity and accuracy, they DON'T USE THE "A" WORD! If you want to confer innocence or excuse egregious behavior or bias the discussion so as to exonerate bad driver behavior, then use it.
If you prefer to describe things more accurately, then use "crash, collision or wreck." Much more appropriate.
So now with AI-like driving aids, the excusing of MORONS BEHIND THE WHEEL will only increase.
