Agreed, I just put attack speed aspect on weapon and added moonrise on a ring. Blighted doesn't do anything while leveling and this setup gives way more damage and even more move speed for zerging through nightmare dungeons.

Thanks for the guide, this build has been incredibly fast for leveling. One change I made was putting Aspect of Frenzied Dead on the weapon and adding Aspect of the Moonrise on a ring. Gives more movement speed when using Kalen's and makes leveling runs a lot more faster.

Shadow is objectively the better route for minions I can’t argue that lol. However, I have finally been able to relive my glory days 😭 You can stack so much DR and Thorns without sacrificing hardly any DPS on your minions. Defenders now taunt, Golem has an on demand taunt that can drop corpses, Mages shoot bone spears, they fixed quills…it’s just beautiful. I don’t even have to worry about where my minions are really because anything that hits them just dies which usually results in everything around the minion also dying. I ran through a T40 at level 70 and I didn’t use a single skill other than decrep, the golems active, and skeletal priest, I could have been casting tendrils and bone spear but I didn’t need to. Will it hold up in higher pit levels? Probably not but for now I’m just vibing while mindlessly running through nightmares.

I was trying to avoid minionmancer, but the game decided my Necromancer is Sung Jin-Woo and i dropped bloodless scream and the ring that auto activates corpse skills from the same enemy
It's so friggin nice to not see corpse explosion in a build... hate that skill. I don't like spamming attacks when I'm supposed to be a summoner doing curses
The amulet with the +3 to max number of mages and warriors is better than the tiny bit of extra dmg %. your adding an entire 1 mage and 1 warrior, which help trigger things, and give their full dmg, buffed by all the other bonuses. Thats far more dmg increase that a simple extra 20% dmg by putting the other aspect on amulet.
Cool build. Why not use the shadow blight and aspect and ditch corpse tendrils? That way you have speed essence and damage buff from shadow blight??? If that makes sense
@ryandevlin2391 I think it is mainly them trying not to focus on swapping weapons based upon what you are doing. Everyone is still starting out the season so it is easier to focus on only one armor set and only have to swap out a couple skill points for a little gold. Easier than making sure you have a good set of gear for each skill set especially when you are already doing plenty of damage for most content without the extra equipment/aspect swapping

Im a bit lost, how does the build aoe? My aoe seems really poor when running the same spells, also why does the build in the guide tell me to run the Shadowblight Aspect but not the shadowblight keystone?
He addressed this in the video. Basically the shadow blight aspect and keystone do not matter while leveling with decompose. It will matter once you switch to using blight for end game content like bossing and the pit. Switch to shadow blight keystone and aspect once you are done leveling and want to push endgame content.
Anyone got the ring of sacrilegious soul that activates raise skeleton, corpse explosion and corpse tendrils automatically if you have them equipped? If you do, do you keep army of the dead or swap out for corpse explosion? The ring seems to OP for me to not use corpse explosion
I keep army of the dead because of Unyielding Commander aspect makes the attack speed and Damage Reduction insane for burst. Makes combining Army of the Dead with the Golem smash take chunks out of the boss health bar. Although corpse explosion is probably better for speed running especially with a max unique effect sacrilegious soul
I Run both Curses, Golem, minions, Army of the dead, Sever. But going to replace Sever with Corpse tendrals. Also Thorn build. So have thorns on most equipment and the Minions get thorns added to most equipment.
Right now I have a very good dagger haven't had a Scyth drop yet worth replacing. No 2 handers on my build. Use Shield have one with a 2300 Thorns greater affix. Dagger is greater affix 45% damage 36% to Vulnerable then 90 Intelligence. Also Sever is replaced now with Bone prison. With that the reaper warriors and decrep cooldown reduction is crazy fast.
I tried this build and it was great up until rift level 30ish. I started drying a lot of frequently... I've seen a few other similar minion builds use Bloodmist and Temerity. How come you chose not to use it? I might've misheard but I think you said this setup is for leveling. Can you provide a link for the endgame build?
Can do that with pretty much 80% classes and build i did it at level 46 with a different necro build with literally no issues other than falling asleep haha
Ok trying to help a friend doing this build and I've never played a necro. So the hurdle I ran into that I don't understand is how did you get both "raise skeleton" and "golem" on your bar? She swears she can only put one or the other on the bar and not both
I used blood mist instead of golem on my assigned skills. Also ultimates are seemingly a waste of points. I'm only lvl 80 but the glyphs seem to be control, mage golem and dead raiser.

I noticed (and tested a bit) that Temerity pants trigger off of life per hit. It essentially gave me a barrier 100% of the time. I'm not sure if it refreshes every attack as nothing has knocked the barrier out yet after doing a few bosses. Would this later in the game be worth off loading some of the defense from hardened bones to tempering? (edit: if anyone read my original I mistook my life per second for the catalyst as long as I was attacking and just noticed I had 8 life per hit.)
skeleton priest effect duration seems not working for idk if its a bug only for me but whenever i wear item with duration bonus effect time is still the same 8 seconds. did anyone notice that too ?
Everything is playable. You might not get to the deepest layers of the pit, but you can easily clear everything with Blood Surge if you put in the effort.
@pleaserecycle525 if you are good enough at the game it's probably doable but it won't be easy I for one am going for a minion build since they were never viable before it's nice to see it finally get some love it so badly needed

11:25 Having the attack speed aspect for pets on amulet at 60% will give you 90x dmg through cult leader and faster attacks.

Literally why me and my wife are playing through as necromancers right now. We say "Arise" every time we use our army of the dead ultimate lol.
FYI there's a bug with the Reapers, the second upgrade(15% corpse thing) also procs the first upgrade (cooldown reduction). So use the second one!

I could be wrong but I think he says once he reaches harder content he will swap to shadowblight for the sustainable DPS over burst damage

Necro is cool and all but every build I’ve made has always been super op and I kinda just stand there for most the game

why do we need fueled be death when we are using corpse tendrils? corpse tendrils states in the spell description that it does not consume the corpse?
Raise skeleton consumes corpses for fueled by death and empowers you(bc of Corpse Getter) and your minions
Super good mid game level 79 with 18k armor and 26k attack
Armor cap is 9230. Going past that is doing nothing for your DR
