I always like the aspect of ESO where every class can viably play any role. You are more picking a theme for your character than a role when you select a class. Couple that with weapons having their own skills and and guild skill trees you have a near unparalleled variety of build and playstyle options.
It not only creates a lot of build diversity, it doesn’t force you to start over because your friends are the same class, that’s a big turn off in MMOs for me
The only think I hate about ESO is you can't have melee weapons if you want to be efficient with Magicka. You need a staff. Being a sneaky magicka nightblad kinda kills immersion when you have a staff on your back lol that and they actively encourage like one spam ability. buff, buff, debuff, spam, spam.
@@justdeuced7441 Dual wield daggers are the best setup for damage dealers in ESO PvE, whether you're mag or stam. The secondary weapon is usually either a greatsword or inferno staff but the main damage is done with dual wield.
@@justdeuced7441 Not entirely true, you can become a stamina healer and do damage with a two-hander. But it will not outperform a magica build, but the one I tested in the past only did 20% less AoE damage than my hyper specialized magica build. Long term, it wasn't worth it.
I am glad you mentioned how to end Fatecarver, I wish more people either knew this or actually utilized it. I don't know how many times I see players just continuing to let the Fatecarver run after all enemies are dead. I'm constantly using block to end Fatecarver because there is no point to continuing to consume resources when the enemies are dead. It's like so many people don't have a clue how to end the channel early.
Between Arcanist crux mechanic and necromancers dead body mechanic the rest of the classes need a good overhaul to make them feel more unique in both looks and utilities. A example would be the early versions of the sorcerer class when their ultimate not only increased their light and heavy attacks but also gave them a 3rd ability bar to use. Even the bound armor ability changed their whole look all together. Now years later it just seems a little dull now. If they keep up with the effort with these new classes but don't change the old one in terms of how they function and look l fear it just may bite them in the arse in the future...
I'm so happy I'm not the only one. Even the warden class is starting to look dated compared to the necro and arcanist. The visual effects and animations need a bit of a freshen up and clean.
Pragmatic Fatecarver is a great skill and you'll pry my radiant lighthouse of death spell out of my cold dead fingers, but the "Uninterruptable" aspect of it isn't all that in PvE, because enemies don't usually "just" interrupt. It's often combined with something the skill _doesn't_ protect you from, like a knockdown or a stun. I mean, in those situations it's technically not the interrupt that stops the beam, but that's cold comfort when you start your beam only to find yourself having to build crux again after picking yourself up off the ground. 😀
*throws spear* *oh, did that interrupt?* it's not good pvp either, unless you've pulled, stunned and then beamed...and at that point...there are much more efficient options
Awesome rundown of the class, Hack! I've been taking a bit of time away from ESO as of late but this is super interesting to see. Thank you for helping me get excited for ESO again!
As far as the ability queue, you can cast fate carver, queue cascade, hit block at anytime to cast cascade, queue fatecarver, and when desired hit block to cast fate carver again. Giving a steady stream of damage, then heals, back to damage, etc. Until magicka is depleted
Great video and very informative! I been running deadly strikes with souslshine and that BEAM at full crux.....insane ! Ran it in VDSA with a group and it just melts and due to the free shield feels super tanky :)
Going stamina healer build as usual. Cant wait for end game content. The healing abilities can all be stamina based. This is the most friendly builder yet.
Just bought the necrom collection on sale and i haven't touched eso in a long time. Looking forward to a fresh start with this guide! On another note, what UI mod is that?
That is the Fatecarver skill, which he mentions under "Fatecarver tips" where he tells you HOW to end it early. Too many people just let the beam keep running even though all enemies are dead, which is a pointless drain of resources IMO. Just tap block to end it early, that's what I use.
New character slot and expansion. Costs just as much as a full game. But this expansion is kinda like a full game in itself. Looks good to me so farm I'm level 8 I think. Just started. How long is the main quest line in this zone. First thing I noticed was the size of the zone. The area while zoomed out looks like it's a fairly large area. Then you get into the zone and it's way smaller... not too scale. Other then that. Seems like it's going to be a good go
I just the second zone apocrypha it's amazing. The texture packs in this expansion is the best so far. I'm currently working on an ultimate build. I am hoping to get up too or 100 % up time. Looking forward to melting the new vet dungeons! Happy grinding
