Barry’s speaking voice is so sweet, bright, slightly raspy. I love it. He has the best speaking voice of them all. And his personality and sense of humor is sharp, witty, quick. He corrects people immediately when they’re wrong, sets the record straight, doesn’t let things slide, but is generous towards people right after he corrects them. This doesn’t change over the years. I admire and respect even this very young Barry, immensely.
When i look at three of them i can see only MAURICE. My eyes glued to Maurice.His smile, voice, jokes, personality- can't get enough of him. Some people talking about hair.. what hair? So many people overlooked him once he lost his hair and seldom sang lead. He was a great musician and Barry once said in an interview, that Maurice could play most anything he put his hands on. Unlike his twin, Maurice COULD dance. However, I loved all of them. They were all super talented and so similar in many ways, yet they retained their individuality which is also an achievement.

Colin Petersen was fired, allegedly for having lost interest in the group and missing recording sessions, and for his refusal to do any acting in the film, despite his experience in front of the cameras. In 67 and 68 Bee Gees consisted of 5 members, also Vince Melouney who left the group by the end of 1968. There was some extra members later they needed to play some instruments, they came and went on. It's fair to say, I think, that the Bee Gees are the 3 bothers, Barry, Robin and Maurice.

Didn't get shared out equally. Robin, of course lost most of his, I think with his cancer treatments. Shame, to think of all that hair he had which was often unruly-looking, even his Mum commented on that in an interview on one of my bio DVDs.

Nope. Robin always talked about how proud he was of his British heritage,the 3 of them being born in Douglas on the Isle of Man,grewing up in Manchester before they moved to Australia shortly after Andy was born. He also had an Isle of Man flag over his casket at his funeral. I'm sure Maurice had one over his casket as well, though I'm not sure since he didn't have a public memorial like Robin did. The 3 of them were all proud of being British w/ Rob being the most vocal about it. I wouldn't be surprised if Andy felt more Australian than British since he was so little when they left England.

They couldn’t get one due to flights and they called the wife of a producer/DJ (?) who was broadcasting a tribute to Mo and he put out a request if anyone had one to call. Someone called and said he brother in Florida had a new one and he arranged a courier to get it there in time. I read that I think on Bee Gees World.com can’t exactly remember but did read that story. Hope that helps 🙂

Andy and Barry Gibb were my first rock crushes. Now I’m wondering why I hadn’t noticed Maurice.
So many people overlooked him once he lost his hair and seldom sang lead. He was a great musician and Barry once said in an interview, that Maurice could play most anything he put his hands on. Unlike his twin, Maurice COULD dance. However, I loved all of them. They were all super talented and so similar in many ways, yet they retained their individuality which is also an achievement.

He always seems nice. However, in this interview Maurice is particularly charming.
Colin Petersen was fired, allegedly for having lost interest in the group and missing recording sessions, and for his refusal to do any acting in the film, despite his experience in front of the cameras. In 67 and 68 Bee Gees consisted of 5 members, also Vince Melouney who left the group by the end of 1968. There was some extra members later they needed to play some instruments, they came and went on. It's fair to say, I think, that the Bee Gees are the 3 bothers, Barry, Robin and Maurice.

Yes Maurice became bald, but that led to his sexiest with the fedora and the glasses and the killer smile and the sweetest disposition.
Andy was only 30 years old when he died....who knows what would have happened to his hair. Barry does not have the hair he used to have either.
Yes, Barry is now losing his hair on top but still has long hair at the back & it would have been interesting to see how Andy would have aged....we will never know now will we?
@@katie-didellis2437 Maurice's hair was always thin on top even in his younger days. It looked like Barry and Robin got all the hair, especially with Robin being Maurice's twin. Didn't get shared out equally. Robin, of course lost most of his, I think with his cancer treatments. Shame, to think of all that hair he had which was often unruly-looking, even his Mum commented on that in an interview on one of my bio DVDs.

Barry made a point of saying he wasn't Australian. I think Maurice and Robin Identified more as Australian and Andy spent his first 20yrs in Australia.
Nope. Robin always talked about how proud he was of his British heritage,the 3 of them being born in Douglas on the Isle of Man,grewing up in Manchester before they moved to Australia shortly after Andy was born. He also had an Isle of Man flag over his casket at his funeral. I'm sure Maurice had one over his casket as well, though I'm not sure since he didn't have a public memorial like Robin did. The 3 of them were all proud of being British w/ Rob being the most vocal about it. I wouldn't be surprised if Andy felt more Australian than British since he was so little when they left England.
LittleAlice7794 Maurice did have the flag on his as well. They couldn’t get one due to flights and they called the wife of a producer/DJ (?) who was broadcasting a tribute to Mo and he put out a request if anyone had one to call. Someone called and said he brother in Florida had a new one and he arranged a courier to get it there in time. I read that I think on Bee Gees World.com can’t exactly remember but did read that story. Hope that helps 🙂

@@gloriamaryhaywood2217 - Robin also was instrumental in getting the Bomber Command Memorial built in London but sadly died a month before the Queen unveiled it although he was lifted up on a crane to see it being built. He also wrote an orchestral piece, the Titanic Requiem, for the anniversary of the disaster but again was too sick to hear it performed by the Philharmonic. :(
@@susieq7401 Yes, I am very aware of both those things! Have a friend who actually went to see the BBC in Greenspark in London. She took lots of pics which she shared with me. She also signed a petition there, a nomination for a posthumous awarding of a knighthood for Robin. The Titanic Requiem is such a beautiful tribute! Love the song "Don't Cry Alone." It always reduces me to tears.💔 RIP Our sweet Robin.
