Black is such a heavy song and it’s a great choice to display Morgan’s skills, I love when he alternates between playing aggressive and passively and makes it all look so effortless
He might not be the fastest, or the most technical, or the most skilled drummer; he might not use insane x:x:x:x polyrhythms, but he is one of the most energetic drummers i've ever seen. He puts his entire body into each and every note, and then immediately switches to a very relaxed, almost lazy stance, while absolutely destroying every note like he has laser focus. He's just so consistent and powerful on stage, absolutely awe-inducing.
I’m not sure you do man, last I heard in his interview he addresses he was having back issues. If I can remember I believe some of it was due to his style of drumming.
This dude is not only a great drummer, but he is so animated and entertaining to watch behind the kit...a true showman!!! While can definitely appreciate the amazing talent that a guy like Danny Carey has...he's definitely not as fun to watch as Morgan.
I grew up drumming listening to Sevendust so much, religiously as a teen and I’m glad I discovered them, honestly, I would love to make drumming my living like Morgan, truly a blessing to have drums as a job, such an inspiration since I was a kid and I’m 29 now, thank you for making me love playing the drums even more Morgan, if you EVER see this, your music was a staple in my youth and I wouldn’t trade those musical memories for anything.
Childhood hero for me. I think Morgan was the first drummer I really adopted style from when first playing decades ago. I mean, I can only think of Dave Lombardo being a close second for influence on my young drummer soul. Love you Mr Rose! and thank you.

He makes a live concert... I saw him in between Mammoth WVH and Alter Bridge. The energy he creates made Alter Bridge almost unwatchable. He killed 2 snare drums inside of an hour as well.. LOL
If you look really close and tight...the cymbal is shimmering from the God of Thunder that we don't hear...if you listen again really closely he stops that vibration... it can be heard more by him than us...
