Now this is a great video!! Thx for showing us your tackle. I have been building up a bag since moving to the Low Country a couple years back and these videos help immensely!! I wanna win your giveaway!!
you probably dont give a shit but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Shepherd Pablo I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Enjoyed the video. It is interesting to see you using single hooks on your top water baits. I have found out musky fishing that trebles hooks do more harm than good. Can be hard to unhook the fish as well gets snagged in your net. Also the other trebles can hook into the fish, injuring them. Thanks for sharing and I am looking forward to better success on the water.
Howard Parke Yes sir the areas I fish I commonly catch oversize redfish or I don’t keep all the red fish even if they are in the slot, so it’s good to return them unharmed. Thanks for the comment and support sir
Again, great stuff! I noticed in your videos that you mono-leaders and breaded line. Being a fly fisherman, I am familiar with that method of line use. Have you done a video covering line? If not, I think it would be a great video to share.
Hey Dan thanks for the information great videos. I am new to your channel and enjoying it. I noticed your red line flags in the garage. Are you a first responder as well brother?
Hey Dan great information in your videos! Just wanted to be sure the yellow topwater plug at the beginning of your video was a Rapala skitterwalk wasn't it? I thought I heard yozuri. Either one is good though. Keep it up!
Tyler Bean it’s one of the two. I’ve had that yellow one for quite some time. I was more interested in showing the difference in the profiles. Thanks for the support brother.
@@LowCountryFishing no problem man, I love throwing topwaters this time of year! Definitely some good ones to have another is the Zara Spook series. We're catching some big trout and reds right now on each of these lures! Awesome info!
@@LowCountryFishing thank you. Many of the lures and plastics you covered on this video are available through Amazon. Links to those in the future would be amazing.
There’s tons of great fishery around that area. Across from the boat house is a creek that holds redfish and trout. Target it on a high outgoing and just camp out in the creek mouth and tare them up as the tide rolls out. Get out at low tide and explore, look for oyster beds, points and ledges. Take note of what creeks have these things as well as bait flushing out. Mark those creeks and go back and fish them at a later date. I did this exact thing in the video I’m releasing tomorrow “How to find Redfish”. I thank you for the invite and support Liz.
@@LowCountryFishing might want to check them out. I’ve used them before myself- they’re all the craze on the gulf side at least. Have a lot of nice color options as well. Love your channel, moving to Savannah next year. Looking forward to doing some fishing 👍🏻
@@patrickwilson3617 thanks for the suggestion. With Zmans 10X tough elaztech material combined with it being naturally buoyant, I don’t see myself really needing any other product. Give the Zman a try and let me know how you like them. I can bet they will outlast all the others on a trip.
I laugh at the reluctance of folks to try artificial baits. I've been using them for 55 years from St. Simons to Edisto. My best friend is well known charter captain Jay Childers from St. Simons. Back in the 70s he and I caught trout jigging in a deep hole at Pine Creek behind Little St. Simons using a simple double hook bottom rig baited with cigarette filters soaked overnight in bottles of shrimp juice. The great thing about it was those filters were good for multiple catches. I'll fish anywhere with just about anything from mud minnows to diving plugs. I love watching a cork go down, but dragging a soft plastic bait and catching a doormat Flounder is hard to beat.
TheSatanownsyou I usually don’t have a problem with them touching each other and melting but those two were the last ones in the pack and happened to melt. Not sure why
Christian Anderson good question, I primarily target the middle and bottom water columns. I’ll hit the top of its first thing in the morning and before sunset (low light conditions). Remember the majority of the fish are feeding on the bottom.

Great info keep em coming!
Good shit man
Thanks again Dan. My trolling motor is being installed this week. Can’t wait to put it to good use and focus on artificial for a while.
Mark Thomas sweet Mark, don’t forget to post up some pics on the FB group
Thanks for the continued information!
Great information thanks Dan!
Excellent video man-like this channel a lot. Do you have a video to show say 3 setups that cover these techniques? Much appreciated
Had some good luck with Zman scented shad yesterday near sister Island/Tybee cut area, another good video from a local guy appreciate the hustle man!
Karsten Summerall thanks sir
Very informative!
Great overview, thanks.
Adam Bright thanks Adam
Awesome.... Great information...
I’m still on the live, but starting to move over to artificials! We shall see. Thanks for the info!
Melloreel If anything it’s good to have some artificials as a back up in case the bait shops are out or you can’t net anything decent.
LowCountryFishing excellent point Dan! We had fish all over us, and I think had we tried something artificial might have got bit👍
Thanks again for giving such great information. I am amazed at what you are willing to share. thanks!
Great Video, as Always... Keep on Fishin..
First time viewer. Subscribed.
Thanks for the support Andrew.
Never used artificial until I saw videos . Went out first thing this morning trying jig with Zman on bottom and caught trout and one red .👍

Great video. Appreciate the details

I’ve had awesome luck with the DOA shrimp, 3” clear. The bull reds hit it on impact.

Can you come fish Beaufort SC. Lucy Creek with me and my brother? We have some spots but I would love for you to teach us. And I course make a video

What’s the optimal Water temperature range for trouts and reds ?
They eat at all year around. At 65 the trout really wake up tho.
@@LowCountryFishing and I am thinking 🤔 65 is too cold
Have you ever tried SLAYER lures? look very similar to the Zman
No sir

I agree man. Setting the hook on a redfish is the best for me.
So it's not good to let the Zmans touch each other? I've been just ripping open the pack and throwing them in a tackle box.
TheSatanownsyou I usually don’t have a problem with them touching each other and melting but those two were the last ones in the pack and happened to melt. Not sure why
What’s the best knot to tie for artificials?
David Cornett loop knot by far. Plenty of articulation with the baits, makes them swim life like.
How do you know when to fish middle or low?
Christian Anderson good question, I primarily target the middle and bottom water columns. I’ll hit the top of its first thing in the morning and before sunset (low light conditions). Remember the majority of the fish are feeding on the bottom.
