Is there a reason for using a jig with an "eye" for a Shrimp shaped bait? Does it make a difference either way? Thanks for the size & weight suggestions.
Yes, using a jig head with an eye gives you the option to work that shrimp like a swim bait profile and give you the best of both worlds. Predators like to eat things with eyeballs so I give them an option.
I am interested in the box that you have your jig heads in shown in your thumbnail. Do you mind mentioning what brand it is and where are you found it.
Good info. I like to use the eye strike Texas jig. 3/0. For catching reds teout and flounder. They just came out with the new Texas eye finesse in 1/0. Can't wait to use them. Tight lines.
I do like the finesse heads. To me, they are great for deeper water. I say that because they allow you to select a 1/0 or 3/0 hook size but best of all they allow heavier weight options. In the winter these trout will be holding deeper and with a heavier weight/smaller size hook jig head it allows me to throw a smaller bait presentation (smaller meal option) and get it down to these lethargic fish.
@@LowCountryFishing Well that sucks, I am not used to creators deleting their well liked content. Not like there is space limitations on here lol. Those were the best quick vids on youtube to show friends when they ask me where to fish in the area. Certainly helps bring new viewers to the channel too, You should reupload them
Great summary Dan thanks for the Eye Strike love! Just to clarify, the Z-Man FinesseEyeZ are a collaborative project we did with Z-Man for 2020. We designed the heads and they are primarily a Z-Man product, but if you look carefully our logo is on the packaging. So they are kind of an Eye Strike product too. Same for the soon to be available SwimbaitEye product. Thanks and tight lines!
Thanks for taking the time to sharing your jighead knowledge with us. Well done, clearly explained.

Thanks brother
I fish south Texas and throw 5/6 inch rat tail baits with the trout eye jig head. I never use anything over 2/0
Did you delete your spots exposed videos? :(
I sure did. You guys don’t need those anymore. I’ve taught you how to catch fish on here and the FB group.
