I was about to write the same until I saw your comment! Crazy not to consider reliability when recommending used cars. These reviews are basically sales pitches nowadays
Very expensive cars, they are now sold for more than the original price. Sad how everyone thinks all of EU has the same car prices and salaries as UK. These cars are almost new. Try looking at cars from around 2010, that means a used car.
I don't think that people looking for used cars (especially on a budget) are necessarily looking for the "toys" and all the bells and whistles. At least I didn't when I bought my 2011 Mazda 3 BL. Keep in mind that low running costs doesn't include low fuel consumption only. How much you spend on repairs and servicing is even more crucial in older, used vehicles.
I was looking at used cars from 2020 and honestly there's hardly a saving to be made. May as well save a couple extra thousand and buy a new car with all the toys I want. Then there's no worry of what the previous owner did to the car.
@@mgishustling3752 Totally. Overall, the 3 is a great package. The only niggles that I personally have with it are: - Rear visibility not so great (and the sensors aren't much help) - Sound proofing could certainly be better - Lack of 6-th gear on the entry level petrol that I have Otherwise, it handles well, always starts up, fuel economy is good and it never let me stranded. Certainly a nicer car to drive compared to the mk6 Golf that I've also driven as my driving school car back when I was learning to drive.
These are absolutely laughable choices. The fact there's more than one Vauxhall makes me wonder about the legitimacy of this journalism at all. There's just no way the Insignia is the best used car in its segment. Aside from actually better cars you could mention in most of these categories, there's certainly more reliable used choices. The mention of Jaguar made me chuckle for sure.
What's the best choice now? For a 2017 family car? Stelvio? X3? Qx5? Volvo? Kodiaq? Lexus nx, but I hate the cvt. Or other? Is there anything that can withstand the rigors? I know it depends on the user, how much he owned the given car, but can the statistics give a direction somewhere, or what should not be bought? a new vw polo costs 20,000 euros, but there is no room for those packages anymore. What I like is the Nissan xtrail, but it costs 42,000 euros. that's a lot..
Stick to Honda , Toyota or Lexus if you have deeper pockets and you can’t go far wrong. Many of these reliability studies take back handers from car manufacturers . They aren’t worth the paper they’re written on. Some cars here are believable contenders , some aren’t. The Vauxhall , Jag ,and Merc would not make my list. Reliability and running costs are key considerations. The What Car reliability study using 21k respondents might be better .
OMG lets recommend the most unreliable, costly cars ever. I'm convinced that this video is a paid advertisement the selection is so bad. 95% of mini's are still on the road, that means only 5% made it home.😂
Vauxhall reliability is shocking so shocked to see it recommended.
Can't agree more, carbuyer reviews don't seem to consider reliability, v imp esp used car

Soon as they kicked off with Vauxhall……😒

I’d have said Mazda was the best used car, absolutely indestructible
What has happened to this channel? Blimey gone downhill ever since mat left
Kia proceed?
Mat Watson in the MX-5?
Secondhand electric vehicles with batteries that may only get 60 miles on a full charge after a few yrs
I would love to drive one of these in my driving videos. ✌💪
Do not buy a Vauxhall Grandland
Never really liked the Grandland, the Grandland X was really boring to look at. I like the front of the facelift but never been a great fan of it

And where is Yugo on this list???!!!
Yugo is out of all competition. :D How can any vehicle compete with that masterpiece of a vehicle?
