I wanted to make a super juicy, meaty, textured piece of tofu that could be given the name A5 Tofu Wagyu... and I think I nailed it!!
This is a combination of tofu and seitan or wheat meat and WOW does it come out meaty!

So I know this one is a long process. I always enjoy it but I know a lot of people wish things were easier. Maybe some steps could be shortened, or omitted, but I think it all adds to the realism.
    What should I try next?

Why don’t you try it with the jack fruit? Since it has the fibers you may be able to accomplish the actual look of the steak. I tried the jack fruit - not the pulp but the fiber part to make pulled chicken and it came out pretty good 😊

liking this video only because the amount of effort you have put into it.. its simply too much of work. i love vegetarian foods, indian vegetable dishes i feel easy to make to me. :D additionally i know as you have said that saying this wagyu is a joke. But i personally dont like the idea of making vegetables or beans such a way that it resembles meat. however i do like to watch and appreciate the experiments that goes into making these dishes and if i really like one of these dishes will make one for me. cheers!

Like the sarcasm with that. I can’t even get my hands on some of his ingredients like methyl cellulose or mushroom seasoning. The US people are lucky

Do you have any recipes using frozen tofu. I saw a couple recipes on the web if you freeze the tofu first the texture comes out meaty like.

Oh man! This one blew my mind! This technique of layering the vwg with the tofu is fascinating!
Do you think if you put the tofu in a food processor you'd get more even marbling?
    It looks great either way!

I have a feeling that I could tell the difference between this and regular steak by taste either way looks good though and the technique is impressive. Personally though I find that vegan and vegetarian cooking really shines when it is its own thing and not trying to mimic a meat product.
