    Thank you very much Sam for getting back to me the color mixing in the video was very helpful.
    I struggle less with Painting and More with color mixing.
    I like the subtle colors that you add to the mix two tone down.
    Thank you for the sky mix

    • @SamuelEarpArtist
      @SamuelEarpArtist  3 роки тому

      You're very welcome Scott. Colour mixing can be tricky but one thing that really helped me is learning the colour wheel and paying attention to the values in the scene you are painting. Values I feel are more important to get right than the colours. You can desaturate a colour by mixing it with its colour opposite on the colour wheel. 😊

      Enkaptaton hey, all good, I’m not offended at all. Andrew and I have been friends for years and he mentored me a few years ago. He also used to use the same brand of paint that I am using now. Also many of the colours I use are commonly used by landscape artists as well. Andrew is a great artist, one of the best out there. His work is detailed whereas I am heading more towards looser brush work and less detail. I think it’s good to learn from lots of different artists that inspire you. My art work is inspired by several painters that I like, especially 19th century, plein air painters as well as the beauty of nature. Thanks for subscribing 😊
