    A question, Sam - what is your take on water mixable oils as opposed to old fashioned oils?

    • @SamuelEarpArtist
      @SamuelEarpArtist  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Norm, I transitioned to oils from acrylics using water mixable oils. I think water mixable oils are great if using normal oils are an issue. You can clean your palette and brushes with soap and water so it's less toxic. I have found that water mixable oils behave just like normal oils 😊

    • @normg2242
      @normg2242 4 роки тому

      @@SamuelEarpArtist thanks for your reply, Sam. I'm so glad I can use oils now without turps. But I must say, I do miss the smell of linseed oil from my school days...lol
      And ... I really love your work!

      I emailed Andrew in 2014 after seeing his art work online. I was stuck with my own art work and Andrew helped me. We chatted on Skype and I went to visit him when he was living in Melbourne, Australia. I helped Andrew with two en plein air art tours in New Zealand in 2016. Andrew now lives here in New Zealand so we meet up to go plein air painting every so often 😊
