Cynthia shares one of the aura viewing exercises from her book, "Aura Advantage: How the Colors in Your Aura Can Help You Attain Your Desires and Attract Success" which includes third eye chakra activation, to help ensure best results. This aura viewing exercise does not require anything other than a few minutes of your time and preferably a plain, off-white background, such as a wall. By holding your hand outstretched at arm's length and fixing the focus of your gaze between two fingers, you will soon see your own aura softly glowing around the edges of your hand. Cynthia describes a method to help ensure success by activating and invigorating your third eye (pineal gland) through gently massaging your forehead with the mini-chakra (or energy center) in the palm of your hand. After relaxing a bit, and resting your outstretched arm on an arm rest or table top, you will likely soon see your own aura.

My cousin's son used to refer to people as certain colors I never knew what auras were until I met my cousins son. You're not crazy I heard of a lot of kids being able to see these. Ive never seen them myself though.

When I was in highschool I noticed whenever theachers where behind whiteboards I would see a white outline around then. Sometimes this persisted and I just thought it had to be some kind of visual effect. Now I see these outlines around everything... Ppl, plants, objects etc. Although it's rare for me to see colors, it's generally white and shiny

It still can be a visual effect. If you are staring at a red point and you look away you can see a blue, white dot in that shape, now guess what color most skincolors contain

One way to confirm you're seeing your aura (and not just a visual effect) is to first view the aura around your hand while you're thinking of something sad... and then keep watching as you remember one of the best times of your life. If it's your real aura you're seeing, you will find your aura greatly expands when you are feeling loved and happy.

Mam, I, a clairvoyant who knows most of the things that are gonna happen with me in life(even my death), have always seen auras but always has ignored them. Never stressed or focused on them. One day all of a sudden i wake up and see my left arm is dotted in the exact constellation of the lynx in the form of mosquioto bites. I searched up many mythological and different meaning set by different beliefs for the animal lynx. Most likely turns out that i carry many of the lynx properties. Including sharp sight, seeing visions and clairvoyance. I also prefer being solo like a lynx. One day it felt like something had hit me and i dont know what. I felt many shivers going down my spine and an instantaneous sweet taste in my mouth. I understood it was my angel. I communicate with it(idk he or she) alot more frequently these days and when i got at the aura part, i predicted most of my family's and those were exact. I could literally see them buzzing with the aura streaks of colours of blue, green even i must say that i predicted yours. It is probably blue to yellow to slight green combination indicating u are very wise which i think is true. By the looks of the video i think u must be cheerful too. Finally i tried it on myself. It was nothing. Just pure white. Does it indicate the end of my life cycle after this one?

This is just an optical illusion. When looking at the hand over a white background the hand makes an impression on the retina. This happens because you are staring. Since the eye and the hand and the person in general is not still the impression appears to move around the hand. If you see different colors is because the impression, an afterimage really, appears in its negative form, like a picture negative. To find out that this is not caused by an "aura" you can try this with a piece of paper or any inanimate object and you will get the same result. Try different colors for more fun.
Marty.Alpaca If you suspect that this might just be an optical illusion, you can test that hypothesis by doing the afterimage staring tests you suggest, and by comparing results with what you observe while viewing energy around your hand. Please notice that while your own energy field responds to your thoughts and feelings (changing color and getting bigger and brighter when you are remembering the best day of your life, for example), whereas looking at a pencil or some other target, no changes in the aura color or size can be seen.
Cynthia Sue Larson Of course I have tested those afterimage effects. I have noticed those things for years, since I was a child. I like optical illusions. I have seen the trick you showed many years ago with my hands and many other things. It all depends on the light and how you move your eyes and other variables. It is just an optical illusion.

Marty.Alpaca Of course inanimate objects have auras. Everything is made of matter which is basically condensed energy so everything has an energy field expanding past it's physical form. Have you noticed that when you're observing an inanimate objects aura, it *never* changes and is a lot less vibrant then any living thing's aura? The human aura can be MASSIVE and change color depending on the person's mood or personality. You can even observe different shapes in some peoples auras. I dont think optical illusions can explain that.

Dear author of this thread, just a note to mention that I use science on my daily work as a telecomms engineer. Just to regist that I'm open minded related to unkown. I'm very much humble on my knowledge and always open to new areas of knowledge. Only this fact. That makes my mind open to new knowledge....
Great video! Also, this reminded me of a cool phenomenon called "Negative Afterimage." Essentially, you have parts of your eyes called photoreceptors, which let you see colors and different lighting. When you look at something for a long time, those photoreceptors in your eyes get tired and they will temporarily run out of the proteins needed to see a specific color. In response to this, your brain tries to fix it and make your vision more normal by adjusting the colors you are seeing. When you look away, you see the opposite color of what you were looking at. This is because your brain has not adjusted back to how it usually has you perceive colors yet.

Thing is this is what happened to me when I tried to see auras.
I saw a blue-purple glow like neon gas around the tips of my fingers. The lower parts of my fingers lit as if from soft yellow moonlight. Thank you, I will practice this much more.
Less than 3 minutes in, I can see my aura. It wasn't totally solid but seemed to be in motion and the color moved between deep indigo and violet! Thank you!!!
At first I thought that this wouldn't work when I first tried. Then, I saw a very blury effect pour from the sides of my fingers,it was clear. You could tell it was not my eyes playing tricks on me but when I focused it seemed to be looking a like a heat wave effect from my fingers. It then turned a very pale blue,not dark or light, just a pale blue and that only took me about a full minute, then I massaged my third eye and looked again and it took me a few seconds to start seing it. To be honest it is very week but I hope to learn more and get your book so that I can learn to increase it and also learn what the colors mean
It took a few seconds, but then I saw a bright light start to resonate. It actually scared me for a second, I jumped away from my hand lmao. But yeah, super cool.

Please be aware everyone, that psychic abilities can be gained if you develop love and consciousness by meditation for example. Love is the biggest power/energy there is. When I was younger from 14ish to 25ish I was able to read/see auras..... I was at my sister's graduation when I noticed my mom's aura and could tell she was very very sick. How sick she was, wasn't what I expected when finding out she was stage 4 cancer soon after when she passed out at work and had to be flown out to a hospital to remove the tumor in her head. When I saw her aura that day, my stomach did take an awful deep flip as in I felt it was serious for her to go to the doctor. ( she was very stubborn or in denial) which led to her passing out. After seeing my mom's aura that day at my sister's graduation, that was the last time I saw people's aura. She was the last read. Anyways retraining now because I missed knowing someone before actually getting to know them. I typically am a good judge of character, but man these people are getting tougher these days and masterminding fault characters. And since I am an empath and wear my heart on my sleeve it's just going to be a lot easier to pick and choose, by getting a glimpse of their auras first.
Wow, that's such an intense experience you had when you were younger, seeing your mom's aura. I'm glad you're getting back into aura reading now; yes, that's a great benefit for an empath!
I'm so glad this exercise works for you! Seeing three colors is wonderful! There is meaning in each one. Yellow often indicates being in an intellectual, thinking state of mind, light blue is indicative of optimism and awareness of how you can be of positive service, and orange is a color often associated with people who love to be spontaneous and try new things. A great combination of characteristics!

darlin one this is an illusion caused by eye fatigue there is a children's book called hello red fox that takes advantage of the phenomenon.

So held two pens up and did the exercise. What do you know, I saw an aura around the pens!!! Are you sure it just ain't your eyes doing tricks.
Objects have auras too. Matter is energy, and energy puts out fields of vibration. That's what auras are. I think most objects have the same color as their auras (usually white? don't quote me), while living auras can change and are usually more vibrant and 'lively'. Unless that object is brightly colored (you're more likely to see the color's auric complement, red giving turquoise etc), or if someone put a lot of energy into an object.

Seth Rushton He's right. He is talking about the magnetic field around objects. Nothing major. Look it up , its pretty interesting and also not new information. I'm not being mean but why do ppl have this tone of disbelief or contradiction about things that are so easy to research? I saw like a white bordure around the fingers not too large.. The cool thing is that my room is in half light now so I thought the shadow like color of the wall would have prevented me from seeing it but instead showed it even more easy.. Okay, so I'm impressed. I can see 'auras' (I think of them more as magnetic waves because I can see the different colours of the 'magnetic pull'.... Too much to explain) but it's only ever been when im in the exact right mood and have meditated for quite a while - or randomly before sleep. I don't have time in my 30s to meditate for hours like when I was 22 so I haven't done it in ages and I haven't remembered to look for the magnetic colours at bed either in a while.
But i just did this little exercise and.... There's the colours!
