Jev Dan,I was in that same situation,you would think family is where you should run to when feeling down,but it's not always the case unfortunately,due to everyone's different makeup/ vibration. I advise you to protect your energy at all costs. When you get around people,only serve positive and full stop. Then keep protecting your energy at all costs. Be around positive people so your energy isn't lowered. It took me years and years to get here. I am happy to offer my advice than be negative

This is so true as empaths we give out alot of energy and attract leaches and when you jus hang with anyone you give off the same or absorb theirs , trust your feelings. If a place bothers you don't be there , if a person makes you feel uncomfortable depart ,if a conversation is negative or uninteresting decline listening and if tempted to do something you normally wouldn't resist ,ake sure your home reflects your beliefs. Fill it with color , vibrations and things that remind you of who you are and do a assessment if your life & clean house as needed and continue to learn & grow and choose your apples wisely and love yourself enough not to accept what other do because it's hip or trendy ,you will thank yourself later , find the alternAtive of what you really like n enjoy and be unpredictable

Exactly what you said letting people cross your energetic field... some people you can’t avoid just because you have to Co parent with your toxic ex, or work a job that deals with customers ect and not working your dream job yet doesn’t mean you’re not speaking up for yourself, or not saying no or hanging around people not to be lonely. Some people it’s just living in life. Not everyone can always be alone therefore the question is how to protect your energy from lower vibrating energies when you have to interact. Yes it would be lovely to live on a planet all by ourselves but that’s not life for everyone regardless how awake you are

I’m currently in a deep depression that has caused me to cut everyone out of my life. The holidays have always been hard but this year is extreme. Normally I’m an extrovert but after years of taking care of everyone around me especially my abusive family it’s too much for me. I’m fighting to control my thoughts which have always been positive yet isolating myself until I regain control.
