@@ajplays7241 I thought that too. Something was distracting Key away from Jodie. Sherpa was telling Key he had to go away for a while, but they’ll see each other again one day. It’s not goodbye, but see ya later. 🐾
Looking back I believe you are right, Key was trying to tell Jamie that something was seriously wrong with Sherpa. We all chalked it up to his recent surgery. But it was more than that. Unfortunately, it didn’t change anything for Sherpa. Key was very loving with Sherpa, it was very moving to see his concern for his best friend.
The fact that this last meeting was a happy one without any sense of it being the last time, made it all more special. And Key knew that something was going on with his bestie, as dogs are far more perceptive than humans could ever be.
It could be that Key could in fact smell it as they use dogs to sniff out cancer. I am glad Key and Sherpa got one good day together before his passing. It all still makes me so sad.
I'm completely convinced that they can detect a lot of injuries, sicknesses and stuff, because I've experienced several times were dogs have licked my hand or arm at places where I've hurt myself or had some kind of painful issue, sort of like they were trying to heal it or make me feel better. Makes me wonder if dogs are natural healers, especially considering what lovely emotions they evoke from us humans.
One thing that strikes me is that Key knew his old friend was tired and hurting, and he was really gentle. He was all, “C’mon old buddy, you’re slowing down, but you and me can still go get into mischief.” And when he saw the old boy lying down, he’d be, “All righty. You do you, it’s all good.” I know you miss that old boy terribly, and I know Key will miss his partner in crime. Hopefully Key will come to understand why his bestie can’t come around anymore; maybe he’s already figured it out. But man, these two loved each other, and their last day together was a good one. ❤❤❤
Key and Sherpa said goodbye in their own way. Key was calm, reserved and gentle around Sherpa. Dogs can sense and smell when something is wrong...and Key knew. They had a beautiful friendship...and someday, they will meet again.
I'm sure Key could sense somehow this mass in Sherpa's body. Dogs help people with different kind of illnesses as they can smell something different in the body. Love you and miss you, Sherpy. The sweetest boy ever ❤❤🤍🤍🤍🤍
When Jamie said about Key possibly sensing Sherpa's illness I remembered seeing about dogs detecting people being poorly and being allowed to visit the hospital etc.
I've had the pleasure of watching Sherpa and Key play many times. Sherpa is at the Rainbow Bridge now, waiting for all his friends. I'm very sorry for your loss.
Yes, I believe dogs can detect cancer in some people and possibly other animals. Sickness can change a body's chemistry/odor, and Key likely knew Sherpa "smelled" different. Regardless, they will see each other again in the Rainbow 🌈. Jamie, Sherpa is in your heart ❤️. Grieve not nor shed tears for love is fur-ever. ❤😢
“Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you, until we meet again”. This is on a candle holder bought for me when I lost my beloved husky. I light a candle for him every day and, now, it will be for Sherpa, too. Shine bright Sherpa and Splintir. ❤
Key was so gentle with him, so understanding and kind. I've watched for many years. It was Key's attitude towards his friend, calm and respectful, that was the clue.
So glad they had this time together and yeah key knew that Sherpa wasn't well you can tell but the way he didn't rough house with him like they usually do
Even tho Sherpa was moving slow, he still enjoyed his day with Key! They were such great friends! Jamie, I hope you’re doing better and taking care of yourself. Continue to go out to different places. Hugs 🐕🦺💙
They had the most beautiful friendship! Apparently dogs can smell cancer in humans so I reckon that Key could smell it in Sherpa, it wouldn't surprise me at all. The pictures of Sherp at the end were so beautiful, thank you for continuing to share your sweet boy with us, I hope that it helps to heal your heart. 🐺💓🙏🏻❤🩹
I do believe Ke'yush smelled the tumor as Sherpa walked past him. Key also seemed gentler with him. I believe Key knew. They will meet at the rainbow bridge one day. Until then, Sherpa is playing with our husky, Nakita, running the fields and chasing each other. Enjoying marvelous treats and waiting for us to join them. We do love Sherpa and you. I've lost Frankie, my best friend due to cancer. There will never be another Frankie as there will never be another Sherpa. Both of them have a special place in my heart.
I just lived shepra and I send you much live too I wish there was a way I could help make this better for you thank yiu for sharing your life and shepra with us too.❤
I think Key has known for a while that Sherpa was sick. Animals know things that we don't find out till later and I was sad to know that they will not play together here anymore but I think Key said goodbye to him in his own way as he probably knew that Sherpa was not well. So glad they had 10 years together.
Jamie, I always loved the way the boys greeted everyone. As soon as Jodi opens the door the boys rush in very quickly. Next, K'ey runs back to greet Jamie. He never neglects Jamie. Then they plant their hineys right in front of the biscuit lady and await her treats. It's the same play each and every time. Simply adorable 🥰

I started crying towards the ending of this precious video... Sherpa, may you rest easy after you crossed that rainbow bridge, take it easy over there, I love you as much as your dad Jamie did. Thank you for sharing the final video of Sherpa, may he rest easy and rest in peace. I love you to the fullest Sherpa. This was saddening after I got out of Detox to hear about Sherpa... I love you all, I love when I paused this video, Sherpa was smiling at the camera. 7:28

Key probably knew Sherpa wasn't well. Dogs can detect tumours. You can tell Sherpa wasn't feeling well at all. Poor baby, he was probably suffering a lot, but did so gracefully. ❤
Yes Jamie, Key knew. Dogs can detect cancer cells. He seemed to be stressed about it also. I wonder when Key goes out in his yard, if he can still pick up Sherpa’s scent. Dogs have such an incredible sense of smell, I wouldn’t be surprised. Jamie, you and Sherpa have touched millions of lives and given us so much joy and happy memories. I hope when you’re ready you’ll be able to open your heart to another puppy. You’ve got so much love to give an animal that needs a fantastic home. I think Sherpa would be pleased. You are loved Jamie. Please don’t forget that. Sherpa will always live in my heart. I love him like my own. God bless you dear friend. Love from Tennessee USA. 💕🐾
@Debra.Justice Yes I agree with you, Key knew. If you look at some more recent Sherpa and Key video play dates, you’ll see Key is sniffing Sherpa’s bum a lot. Key smelled the cancer, they say it isn’t conclusive on the research they need to continue research on it to see if it is conclusive. If their findings show that dogs can and do detect cancer they will start using dogs to help with Cancer screenings on people and animals. Rats and other animals can detect disease in their mates.
Wonderful Key was so gentle with Sherpa during this last visit and Sherpa was recovering so well from having all those teeth out, he was tired here but still so happy. I will miss seeing these two beautiful dogs together. Bless you Sherpa you were so loved x
You could be right Jamie, Key definitely had a good smell, and as research is starting to show, dogs can sniff out these things. 2 very clever doggo’s.
I think you're right Jamie, and that Key smelled and sensed that Sherpa was ill. He was so gentle with him, instead of the usual doggie tornado. I'm so happy he got a last treat from the Biscuit Lady, and enjoyed treats in the park with Key. The last picture of the high-five started the tears again, and it was a fitting ending to see Sherpa enjoying his beloved garden. Thanks for sharing him with us Jamie, and for continuing to post and share your life with us. Rest In Peace sweet Sherpa- watch over Jamie until you two are reunited at the Rainbow Bridge.🌈🌈🌈
If ever you feel sad Jamie just remember the amazing memories of you and beautiful beautiful Sherpa he is one fur baby that has made our hearts swell xx
It's hard to watch this video without crying. I also think that Key suspected that it might be the last time with his best friend because he sensed that Sherpa was sick. Thank you, Jamie, for sharing this with all of us. I wish you a lot of strength for the coming time.
Key certainly knew something was up. On Jodie’s channel she warned Key not to be too boisterous around Sherps… and it stood out how little roughhousing that Key did with Sherps. He really did understand and was very gentle - which was not how they usually loved to play. ❤ Bless you all
Dogs are highly sensitive to illnesses in people and ither animals. A lovely quiet playdate. Sherpas saying Good Bye to his bestie was heartbreaking. Tears are still falling for this gorgeous boy. RIP Lord Sherpa. Truly loved❤❤❤❤❤

@@SherpasDay Dogs are wise souls. They can see, hear and smell way beyond us. They are pack animals. They even hear the heart beats. Horses do the same thing; knowing everything going on in their herd. My cats were glued to me when I took radiation and chemo. They were trying to make me feel better! Next time you go see Key talk to him about Sherpa and he will tell you! I am sure he has seen Sherpa. We don't give animals near enough credit for their abilities! (I don't know if you know about Stepanie Jarvis on you tube Chateau Diaries. They had a Polish Ratter. Her first dog ever. Lancelot like Sherpa was delightful! Brought such joy to everyone just like Sherpa! He started swelling like a balloon several days ago. Rushed him to the ER and other vets. Lancelot passed. They are devastated. He was not 2.)
❤ somehow the mist made that day more significant, like clouds in Heaven. Key seemed like he was trying to tell you that Sherpa was sick and he kept whistling and crying. But he became brave for Sherpa so they could enjoy the playdate and treat throwing. I'm so glad they got to visit after Sherpa recovered from surgery yet before he wasn't able to walk or get up anymore. Such a small window of time between those events but the best buddies got to say goodbye.

Jamie; I have no doubt that Key knew then; and he knows now. No doubt at all. You can tell by how gentle Key was; and you could almost hear it in his voice. They had a very special bond.
After my 20 yr old cat passed, the anxiety over her declining health was gone and all I was left with were countless great memories. Can't wait to see the (almost) inevitable next pup!
This week makes 2 years since my 8 year old Beagle "Dixie" passed away...I am a disabled Firefighter of 20 years and I would have not been able to get through a little depression after becoming disabled and not being able to work and do the things I loved doing every day...Dogs are special and the bonds are so strong it is very difficult to get over the loss of our fur babies. I still cry all the time missing my girl and the passing of Sherpa has just broken my heart... Please take care and stay busy...it will take time to get over it.. and you probably will never fully get over the loss.
Key and Sherpa may have very well known it was the last visit 😢. It’s comforting that dogs don’t fear death like we do. They just know when it’s time to go and they’re not afraid bc dogs trust. They know it’s not the end.

@Debra.Justice
Yes I agree with you, Key knew.
I completely agree, Key definitely picked up something "wrong" from Sherpa's scent as he walked by. Hope you're doing ok Jamie.
I have never met Sherpa, but his passing still brings tears to my eyes. Thank you Jamie for sharing him with us!
Yes, you're absolutely right.
I watched this with tears in my eyes, and even now 😢
A Dog's life is so short-it's not fair!
Wonderful Key was so gentle with Sherpa during this last visit and Sherpa was recovering so well from having all those teeth out, he was tired here but still so happy. I will miss seeing these two beautiful dogs together. Bless you Sherpa you were so loved x
I know that dogs can smell some diseases, also in humans. I think Key knew that it was going to say goodbye to Sherpa. He was so considerate.
All their visits were special. The door ritual cracked me up every time & the shouting at biscuit lady. What a pair of characters.❤❤
Key has other friends but Key and Sherpa had s special relationship.
😢 So beautiful! Best mates!! 💜💙
Animals know. So glad they had a fun time together.
They did look like 2 wolves in the mist! 😍🥹💜
Much love, Jamie! 💙💔
Forever 💙
Look at Sherpa smiling away when he's lying on the floor! He was happy to see his friend despite all the discomfort and stress.
If ever you feel sad Jamie just remember the amazing memories of you and beautiful beautiful Sherpa he is one fur baby that has made our hearts swell xx
Man, 14 years? I didn't know he was that old. He lived a good life. Thank you for sharing.
Sherpa and Key had such a special relationship. They always made me smile. Key will miss him immensely. Love and miss you Sherpa! ❤
It's hard to watch this video without crying. I also think that Key suspected that it might be the last time with his best friend because he sensed that Sherpa was sick. Thank you, Jamie, for sharing this with all of us. I wish you a lot of strength for the coming time.
So glad they got to see each other before Sherpa passed.
It hurts me to see Sherpa like this but thank you for keeping his memory alive.
Fly free beautiful Sherpa.🐾🐾❤
Key certainly knew something was up. On Jodie’s channel she warned Key not to be too boisterous around Sherps… and it stood out how little roughhousing that Key did with Sherps. He really did understand and was very gentle - which was not how they usually loved to play. ❤ Bless you all
The fact that the meeting wasn't specially arranged makes it all the more special ❤❤
I will miss you Sherpa. The goodest of all good boys.
I'm so sorry for your loss I know what you are going through he will be missed ❤ 🙏 🙏
Aw thankyou 💙
Dogs are highly sensitive to illnesses in people and ither animals.
A lovely quiet playdate.
Sherpas saying Good Bye to his bestie was heartbreaking.
Tears are still falling for this gorgeous boy.
RIP Lord Sherpa.
Truly loved❤❤❤❤❤
Remembering the good times,
the funny times.
The DONT EAT THAT! times.
The Arrrghh, what have you done times,
The leave it, leave it, LEAVE IT,
Or for CRYING OUT LOUD times.
Remembering
The furry hug times,
The warm bed times
The cheering up times,
The welcome home times,
The just me & my dog times,
Remembering all these times and so many more
THANK YOU for making my life better.
RIP Sherpa
I am sure Sherpa is communicating with key from the other side! Animals have that special ability! Love these furry boys❤❤❤
I hope so 😢
@@SherpasDay Dogs are wise souls.
Key knew but he still loved Sherpa. They just sense these things
He got to be in his favorite playplace with his favorite playmate. It was special to him.
I sure hope you rescue another lucky baby so many out there in need💜💜☮️🐾
❤ somehow the mist made that day more significant, like clouds in Heaven. Key seemed like he was trying to tell you that Sherpa was sick and he kept whistling and crying. But he became brave for Sherpa so they could enjoy the playdate and treat throwing. I'm so glad they got to visit after Sherpa recovered from surgery yet before he wasn't able to walk or get up anymore. Such a small window of time between those events but the best buddies got to say goodbye.
Dog's have a good sense of knowing when something is wrong with someone.
Key definitely knew something wasn’t right with his buddy. And one day, they will be together again and their funny antics will continue furever!❤️🐾
Such sweet boys. Thank you for sharing their amazing friendship with us Jamie.
Animals are very clever they can sense something wrong love these dogs❤❤
Yes, Key was first to know. ❤❤
Best Friends💞
Aw.... Play dates with Key were always special Jaime. I believe key knew his bestie wasn't well. Key was so gentle with Sherps. I'm certainly going to miss these two together. Sherpy was so brave bless him. He's part of the Northern lights now and I'm sure they will shine brighter for it. Maybe when the can't to our UK skies it was too let Sherps know they were waiting. I like to think so. Loving hugs and heavenly baby rubs. ❤️🐾🐾💔
P.s. Jaime you do know they say the Northern lights are all the snow dogs in their silver harnesses running across the sky? ❤️
It's a beatiful saying and I believe it's true.
Omg you made me cry again …. Jamie I understand the pain your feeling and I just wish I got to meet you both as you saved me from suicide when I lost my dog and you and Sherpa save me with you videos
Omg Sara! I so glad you're ok 😮💙
@@SherpasDay im doing ok
Awe, Jamie, Key and Sherpa were the best of friends. Thinking of you all. ❤❤
I hope you sought help & are in a better place now Sara-Bear? I was blessed to meet Sherpa, Jamie & sister Sarah 3 years ago purely by accident. It's something I'll never forget & often watch the video as it shows my mum who's sadly passed in Nov 23😢
Sherpa & Jamie did make the world a better place for us all 😊
So sad! 😢 He was so special! There will never be another that’s for sure! ❤
Too true
Yea I couldn't ever replace him 😢
Agreed.
Jamie; I have no doubt that Key knew then; and he knows now. No doubt at all. You can tell by how gentle Key was; and you could almost hear it in his voice. They had a very special bond.
You gave them a last playdate, Jamie and Jodie. Bless you both. ❤ Keyush+Sherpa=Best Friends Forever.
RIP Shepa you were absolutely gorgeous
Watched Sherpa and Keyush for the first time when I was underwent physical therapy after heavily wounded during deployment.
This two furry friends really made my day during my PTSD episodes. Thank you.
