I remember when you posted this video on YT and made a comment on it but with my old account( I cannot see my old comment here) I downloaded all the parts and made myself a dvd that I still have and just watched it.Thank God your video starts with your website so I found you again and subscribed with my new YT account.Just watched the entire dvd with all the parts and I love your work.really nice job man. Subscribed again .
Good job shearing this. Finding out about door construction is hard and seeing someone make a good door without requiring a full workshop with spindle moulder e.t.c is excellent.
thank you for making this video I read the book building doors and gates but this video gives me the confidence to go ahead and build some doors.
For your shallow mortises, you could have done them on your router table, quick an easy. Use the fence with reference marks, then square up with a chisel. I've watched this from start to finish, good work. Keep the video's going.
Its great to know you found it confidence building. Hope it goes well and you have fun building doors. The link in the description may give you more infor that you find useful. Cheers
@SPITFIRECARPENTRY . The table is good the fence is pants. Could do with more cutter depth as well, the cast table is thick. Teh switch box was shorting to earth as well. It could be worth seeing if these have benn addressed since.
Thanks, that'll be doing a square internal corner without doing a big ark and going back on it. Cheers
great instruction...love the wallace and grommet accent. "More por-r-i-g-e Grommet?"
Fantastic videos. At last a British production instead of all the American stuff you get. Keep up the good work.
Can i ask, what timber you make your door out of and do you know of a good, relatively cheap timber merchant.
Thanks
great video

Thanks
Thanks msneeze, The timber is what the merchant's call "redwood". For an explatation of what this means I've got a few pages up on the idostuff.co.uk website. There's also some info on choosing a timber merchant. (my local merchants - Allan & Orr, Arnold Lavers, I wouldn't say they are good, but they are adequate)
@TsmnnDvl5 , Thanks for watching. They are all "through" mortises on the door so not practical with the router. The alternative to using the mortising machine on deep through mortises would be drilling and chiseling.
Cheers Andy
you tell a decent story
Buenas tardes Sr : Sus videos son muy buenos , le sugiero que los grave para poder traducirlo a otros idiomas . No saben la importancia y el alcance que tine UA-cam y personas como yo que no saben ingles se nos hace dificil . Gacias

Let me know if you want more details or if there's better or easier ways of cutting tenons for a door
I am sure that you will find good way to make it on woodprix Webpage.
I love that
I checked a lot of handbooks with woodworking plans. Instructions from woodprix are the best I think.
I did it too. This is what I used Woodprix designs for
Woodglut has very good and accurate plans.
I've heard good feedback about the Woodglut plans.
I did the same with Stodoys plans :)
