Hi chef, just wondering can this be made into vanilla sponge cake by substituting pandan paste with vanilla essence instead? :) i made this cake and it was really nice. thanks for the recipe :)

Thank you! Will work on improving the quality. You may use dairy whipping cream, but the frosting won’t be as firm, and will be much more liquid. Hope this helps!
In any baking shop. Non dairy tu sejenis whipping cream but different type and percentage of fat. Usually non dairy jual dalam freezer. Kalau dairy dalam chiller.

Just saw you slicing only 1 cake and the finished products looks like 3 layers only after you have cut the cake. The 2nd cake no need to slice? What is the size of your cake tin? Thxs

And susah nak cair. Dairy sesuai dimasukan dalam cake utk bake. Kalau guna dairy utk coat boleh je tp dia cair la.

I added both. 1.5 tbsp fresh squeezed pandan extract and 1 tsp vanilla. It’s delicious!

noor hafizah maybe the meringue is still warm bila you letak the butter.

Just curious why use non dairy cream and not normal double/whipping cream?
Simply because it holds better than dairy cream, easier for beginners to handle the frosting. You could switch it to dairy cream too, no problem!
