There are no "bills", that's not how NATO works and hat talking point makes me crazy. What that idi*t was talking about, is the defense budget of European countries being to low and that he fixed that, but that's not true either, the raise in the budget was planned long before he was in office and it still did not really happen. The guy is so pathetic. It's also worth mentioning, that the US definition of "treason" is very specific, but if you consider the supremacy clause (treaties are the supreme law of the land) in the constitution and that the NATO treaty means that an attack against one is an attack against all, not supporting that NATO member could actually be considered treason.

Biden is right to call out companies for shrinkflation. Overpackaging of products is a problem as well.
Companies are global and, trust me, they stiff consumers like this all over the world. Of course, they will say they would have to put the prices up if they kept the contents the same, but they also put prices up anyway. I have nothing against a company making a profit so they can keep going and provide employment, but 100% this tactic is all about paying fat cat bonuses to management and benefitting the major shareholders.
I buy a cereal and the box is about 52% full. I can nearly pour the entire contents of a second box in.
@drooplug There is some justification for that. Having a lot of air in the packaging keeps it from getting easily crushed in transit and storage. Same reason crisp packets are half empty.
Whether that amount of air needs to be half, or you could have a 75% full packet/box, is something I sadly don't know enough to say.
That said, shrinkflation is 100% a real, serious issue. A lot of companies have been putting prices up while cutting back on product sizes. You only need to look at their huge profit margins to see that inflation was merely an excuse for them to do that too.
