      You can move any time, but July 1st is the most common day to do so in Montreal. It is quite comical, actually.

    There's nothing like the efficiency of movers. Hire movers. It's worth every penny. I found where I needed help was with packing. Get help from family and friends with packing but hire movers.

    I havent lived in a house for more than 4 years at a time. In the last 10 years ive moved 4 times. My mom has been in canada for 30 years and she moved 19 times.

      There are a million people in Quebec who do not speak French, which includes a lot of immigrants who have no interest in learning it. Where will these people go if Quebec separates?

    Truther Notice: Canadians living in Montreal/Quebec not allowed to have Canada day because Quebec political atmosphere dictates July first .... to move. Just connected the dots ..... MOVE OUT.

    Also note that rent is rising WAY above the rate of inflation or, more importantly, rate of salary increase.
    This is across the country.
    If the government cares about it's citizens, it needs to step and help us!!

      @@aleksanderkuncwicz7277 No energy companies want to do business in Canada anymore. Absurd restrictions and impossible amounts of red tape involved. Trudeau closed Canada. “No new pipelines”, carbon tax added multiple times to everything, capital gains tax highest in G7, mines that take 12 years for a permit, etc, etc. Your bright idea is to tax them even more to operate in Canada.
      We are the most resource rich country per capita in the world. We buy lithium from China even though we have mass quantities of it that nobody can mine. Our country has destroyed business investment and your answer is tax them more.
      With answers like yours we are all doomed.
      How about slowing immigration massively. Deporting temporary workers who are no longer needed. Cutting all the corruption and red tape that plagues the building industry. For starters

    Having one day in the year as the required moving day for all renters in the province seems MORONIC to me.
    So obviouly i do not understand some element of this requirement!

    It's kind of gross tenants move out there's no painting of the apartment or sanitizing cleaning. The new tenants just move right in I noticed that happening a lot when I lived in Montreal it's kind of disgusting you just move right into somebody else's filth! 🤢🤮🪳💩🦨
