The stresses of Moving Day in Montreal

- “We're a little stressed,” said Romy Bacani, one of many Montrealers having to deal with the challenges of getting out of one apartment and into another on Moving Day in Quebec. Gareth Madoc-Jones reports.
Only July 1 for moving is moronic
It gives Canada the FINGER: July 1st. all apt leases are UP. !!!
It’s Quebec. They don’t know any better
@@DwightStJohn-w1l No- only if you moved in July 1 the year before !
You can move any time, but July 1st is the most common day to do so in Montreal. It is quite comical, actually.
@@DwightStJohn-w1l No, not all.
There's nothing like the efficiency of movers. Hire movers. It's worth every penny. I found where I needed help was with packing. Get help from family and friends with packing but hire movers.
I havent lived in a house for more than 4 years at a time. In the last 10 years ive moved 4 times. My mom has been in canada for 30 years and she moved 19 times.
Quebec should move permanently from Canada on Canada Day
Facts
There are a million people in Quebec who do not speak French, which includes a lot of immigrants who have no interest in learning it. Where will these people go if Quebec separates?
@@VladislavBabbittthey don’t belong in Quebec they go in canada
@@VladislavBabbittyou will have a hard time in Quebec as English speakers unless you stay in your little corner 😂😂😂😂
Moving day people moving into each others dirty apartments. These landlords should at least professionally clean in between tenants.
Never rent your apartment to CityNews dirty rentals , they never pay in time
Only July 1 for moving is moronic
Totally agree
@@doreenblatz2440 "Notanother" finger to Canada wide and all the other provinces!!
It ain't surprising because literally, Quebecers don't give af about Canada day. Literally no celebrations here smh...
@@onyeenoma
Namely Francophones.
They only move one day a year, way to snub Canada
Dark gross nose ring looks like snot . . . that has to be for shock value only
I saw your comment.... you seem so appalled and offended why? 😂
@@EmeraldEdge72 Liberal never pay rent in time, they are dirty rentals

Thank god i dont live in Canada anymore let alone Quebec.
Moving guys from all over Canada go to Montreal to do the ONE DAY move in Quebec.
Truther Notice: Canadians living in Montreal/Quebec not allowed to have Canada day because Quebec political atmosphere dictates July first .... to move. Just connected the dots ..... MOVE OUT.
Also note that rent is rising WAY above the rate of inflation or, more importantly, rate of salary increase.
This is across the country.
If the government cares about it's citizens, it needs to step and help us!!
That three-legged table at the end looks real useful.....
Amen 🙏
Is this only in Montreal or is it all over Quebec?
Maybe Quebec should separate. I can’t relate to those people. This is so dumb.
It’s a message to say to all canadian on canada day to move out of our province so we can separate
What country is Montreal in? I know that they don’t celebrate Canada Day.
The English speakers and the immigrants here do.
Now this is news..🎉🎉
Qubecois very funy people 😂😂😂
Half of them can still barely read and write.
This seems like a really dumb idea.
I hope you all can fix this some day.
Look at Marc Andre. We WE. Great job!
how is this news?
That's all boy choice
Nice to see some families still helping one another out.
usually because of ones behaviour why family doesn't help
More homes have to be built for the price to go down I think.
Yeah. Law of supply and demand 😊
How is it possible people don't understand this
@@gcanada3005 Tax the oil componys to pay housing componys to build more houses.
@@aleksanderkuncwicz7277 No energy companies want to do business in Canada anymore. Absurd restrictions and impossible amounts of red tape involved. Trudeau closed Canada. “No new pipelines”, carbon tax added multiple times to everything, capital gains tax highest in G7, mines that take 12 years for a permit, etc, etc. Your bright idea is to tax them even more to operate in Canada.
We are the most resource rich country per capita in the world. We buy lithium from China even though we have mass quantities of it that nobody can mine. Our country has destroyed business investment and your answer is tax them more.
With answers like yours we are all doomed.
How about slowing immigration massively. Deporting temporary workers who are no longer needed. Cutting all the corruption and red tape that plagues the building industry. For starters
@@gcanada3005 Yeah thier needs to be a pipeline for the money.
It's a lie that a 1 bedroom is renting for $1700. You can't even rent it out at that price
You underestimate how bad mass immigration has made the housing market
@tonybaloney8401 in Montreal that's a fact. You can rent out a brand new 1 bedroom condo at that price, but not a regular older apartment.
@@alexanderh.999lmao! Clearly you are living a couple years behind!
@@TheTechnoPilot we are talking about Montreal market.
I live in Montreal. I am living in a 3 1/2. I’m only paying $700 a month. I am not African. I am not Asylum seeker. I am a white Canadian living in Montreal.
I completely believe you, but that's probably because you haven't changed your place of residence since the end of the Cold War!
Nice nose ring
Stop complaining.
Ya they should just bend over and take it
juss a nudder aspec, la, of da 'dis stink' societe, la.....gud luk wit dat, la.
Having one day in the year as the required moving day for all renters in the province seems MORONIC to me.
So obviouly i do not understand some element of this requirement!
Did Trudeau create this policy!!!!
it is not a 'requirement' ...
Dumb system...
HAPPY CANADA DAY
It's kind of gross tenants move out there's no painting of the apartment or sanitizing cleaning. The new tenants just move right in I noticed that happening a lot when I lived in Montreal it's kind of disgusting you just move right into somebody else's filth! 🤢🤮🪳💩🦨
