CATCHING a TIGER BEETLE!

Check out these amazing little beetles! Although these guys are small they are wicked successful invertebrate predators. Their large eyes, sharp mandibles, and blinding speed make for a deadly combination! These beetles belong to the family Carabidae, or the ground beetles. This group typically shares a similar build with large mandibles and rapid movement hunting styles. This species is the six-spotted tiger beetle of Cicindela sexguttata. These are one of the most attractive tiger beetles in my opinion, and are actually one of the more common! Do you like tiger beetles? Let us know in the comments!
