Great meeting you on the premiere chat yesterday!! You’re by far the most actively responsive UA-camr I’ve ever come across, kinda wish more UA-camrs were this active with their subs, thanks for taking the time to always answer any questions. See ya on the next premiere!
Stag beetles are beyond frickin cool. Thanks for the awesome video! (I put my ear close to my phone when you said listen to the larva…and an ad with gunfire started. I was like, no way! 😂)
The Asian stag beetles are some of the most impressive insects in the world to me, getting to work hands on with them is always a treat despite the sharp hooked feet and powerful mandibles! I love breaking down peoples’ misconceptions about these beetles, they are quite misunderstood due to their imposing nature. Great work Jack! - Harrison and Evan
Great video Jack! I love stag beetles! They are very interesting and fascinating, and their biology is very interesting. I liked all the information you included about them. Nice work as always!
That one was alot bigger than the last one.so cool they are.thanks for filling my request twice.i always use to wonder if those pinchers hurt.seen one once when i was a kid back east.very impressive bettle.
Those Larvae must be massive lol Edit: I also love the fact that you'll sting yourself multiple times with Hornets and brush it off but the Stag having a chomp and it's, I'm ok thanks you can keep that.
I got pinched by a dorcus taurus ( which is a MUCH smaller species of stag beetle ) And it was a whole lot of fun! I can't imagine you getting bit by that thing must feel like.
So, essentially what you're saying is, If I presented one of those super cool looking beetles with a very overly ripe, gooey, Apricot, it'd be in feast-heaven? ;-)
Great video. Hey I have a question, are these bettles not in the us bc I could have swore I have seen these or maybe we have something like this here. I live in Tennessee.
We have a native species that is also called the giant stag beetle it’s scientific name is Lucanus elaphus and it’s native to the eastern United States.
Oh gosh, probably the beetle if it can get ahold of the mouse’s head. A mouse could probably bite this Beetles’s arms all off leaving it defenseless though. It would be a pretty even match I imagine!
You’re thinking of our native Giant stag beetle (same common name, but very different beetle) it’s a stag beetle as well but it’s binomial is Lucanus elaphus

One of my favourite videos so far. That beetle is massive. So glad I caught the premiere.
Ayy jack I requested this one! (Prob not why you did it but still lol)
Stag beetles are beyond frickin cool. Thanks for the awesome video!

Hello great video information Jack
Great video Jack! I love stag beetles! They are very interesting and fascinating, and their biology is very interesting. I liked all the information you included about them. Nice work as always!
These beetles look pretty scary with those mandibles. What do you think, kids and adults? 😰🫣🪲
Thank you, Jack.
Yikes, those jaws are huge! This video is gonna be awesome.
Dude I can't wait those guys are super cool!
Super interesting info on the beetle. Great video Jack, thanks :)
If there was a price for most underrated UA-cam it would go to this guy
I accept!
Haha you more than deserve it
Looks like Bear Grylls left a few of these larvae :-D
That one was alot bigger than the last one.so cool they are.thanks for filling my request twice.i always use to wonder if those pinchers hurt.seen one once when i was a kid back east.very impressive bettle.
When they fly they probably sound like a helicopter
Stag beetles and rhino beetles have pretty cute faces c:
bro thanks for making these videos 🙏🏻😭
Those Larvae must be massive lol Edit: I also love the fact that you'll sting yourself multiple times with Hornets and brush it off but the Stag having a chomp and it's, I'm ok thanks you can keep that.
Such a wonderful Beetle for sure. It was funny seeing you get pinched by a Stag Beetle lmao.
Okay. So I'm back when the video can finally be seen..
These guys look so awesome and I wanna get one as a pet.
They are sooooo cool
How cool. No idea that the larvae make those little pig sounds. That was crazy.
Glad I’m not the only one who thought they sounded like piggies!!
Huge but beautiful beetles..
3:40 I also heard from "amazingnaturediaries" that bears don't truly hibernate either. They go into a state of torpor.
Yup!
Overwintering reminds of tartigrads going through cryptobiosis.
dorcus titanus yasuokai pinch is more painfull than titanus titanus
STAG BEETLE 💛💚💙❤
You spit out them scientific names to easy .
I got pinched by a dorcus taurus ( which is a MUCH smaller species of stag beetle )
And it was a whole lot of fun!
I can't imagine you getting bit by that thing must feel like.
Ouch! 🥴😂
Look mama it's a BUGG
So, essentially what you're saying is,

Pretty much!
What a beauty...
Bro how are you not scared beetles are the scariest to me

Great video. Hey I have a question, are these bettles not in the us bc I could have swore I have seen these or maybe we have something like this here. I live in Tennessee.

ok now try doing that with a titan beetle !
😂 chop my finger off!
those larva sound like something out of super mario games. That is so cool.
Right? They sound like Koopa Troopas! 😂
@@JacksWorldofWildlife Can´t remember what they sounded like. Brain just went "Super mario" when I heard em :P
2:23 ouch
That look like that hurt..
It did! 😩
@@JacksWorldofWildlife I bet
He's massive I wonder if he would go up against a rhino beetle the same size as him that would be a awesome battle.
You really hated being bitten by that guy. But if he had a stinger, you’d be like “Yeah man, do it again!”
😂 he wouldn’t stop!!!

Ewwwww! Ewwww! The bite from that scary Stag Beetle could’ve been poisonous!
😱😵💫
Perhaps the beetle must’ve thought your fingers were like a fruit or a tree. 🌳🍎🍐🍈🥭
These aren't found in the US?
Correct. They are native to Southeast Asia
oo heck No!
I have the same species but a larger
Definitely worse than a Tarantula Hawk
😂 for sure 😉
Where did you get the Beetle from
It’s owned by a friend of mine. Not sure where he got it
Looks like Dorcus titanus ssp. to me... 😄
Either Typhon or Imperialis.
Yeah, but the names have changed so much lately, I can't really tell...
That thing vs a mouse who wins
Oh gosh, probably the beetle if it can get ahold of the mouse’s head. A mouse could probably bite this Beetles’s arms all off leaving it defenseless though. It would be a pretty even match I imagine!
I've seen these in Tennessee but they're not that large.
You’re thinking of our native Giant stag beetle (same common name, but very different beetle) it’s a stag beetle as well but it’s binomial is Lucanus elaphus
10:12 I'm sorry, but that is rather unusual?
I have this worm can anyone buy
Hii i cach stag beetel please colle me
I have a stage betle please contact me sir.
I want to see bitten by a giant water bug!!! I got bitten by one and there were rivers of blood and my face was a crimson mask of pain and fear :)
Eeek
Sorry buddy ..no blood..no foul. Is it true science does not know how they can fly.
No, science can explain insect flight. Lol
@@JacksWorldofWildlife too big and heavy to fly! Lol. It amazes me when I saw one fly.
You spit out them scientific names to easy .
Years of no friends- I mean practice 😉😂
