  • A Ukrainian citizen confronted Russian soldiers after their armoured vehicle broke down on a country road in the Sumy region, close to the border with Russia.

    This is a strong reminder that not every soldier in a war wants the violence, loss of life and horror it brings. They just follow orders which is heartbreaking.

      ​@@marcoscastrillo8298 what about the dozens of videos of russian soldiers not shooting even when they could? people climbing on tanks, etc.? there could be many reasons why the car was run over. the driver could have just been a psycho, technical issues, fallen asleep, we don't know. don't get me started on the fact that the missile hit the apartment building. it could have just been misdirected. it could have been. i don't know. all i'm saying is that the collateral damage is surprisingly small for how recklessly the russians are portrayed in the western media at least from what I've seen on YT so far.

      I live in Belarus, the city of Mozyr. And I personally saw how these same soldiers of the Russian Federation begin the artillery launch of thousands of cruise missiles towards Ukraine. Then they began to take off and have been flying for 3 days all night and during the day even towards Kiev, through the former Chernobyl nuclear power plant. I live in Belarus here where their military base is and I see all the Russian aviation live. Russia is committing an international terrorist act against a sovereign european country.

      Of the vehicles of the first wave (here presumably a BMP-2 or BMP-3), hardly any are still intact today. At least part of this crew is probably now dead or permanently disabled. Perhaps every fifth Russian soldier deployed in eastern Ukraine is no longer alive today, or has been seriously wounded.

      These are from the armoured units that attacked the Sumy region. I guess 5 to 7 % chance each that they are alive and still fighting today. The rest are dead or too maimed to fight. Note: A missing eye or arm is no reason not to be sent back to the front line for russian soldiers in Ukraine. A missing leg might do the trick to be sent home.
