- According to the United Nations, 10 million Ukrainians have fled their homes. Russian soldiers were seen on camera forcing their way into an apartment complex in a Kyiv suburb. They smashed the security cameras in the elevators using rifle barrels. In video obtained by The New York Times, the invaders moved in to take up sniper positions. In the capital city of Kyiv, a huge fireball erupted during a missile strike on a shopping mall Sunday night. The mall is now a heap of smoldering rubble.
Let's be honest. We did similar things to the Afghans. Mainly entering their homes for sniper positions and tactical cover. I'm not saying this isn't horrible, I'm just saying we did similar things in the US military.

The problem with working for the government as part a security force whether it'd be police, military, federal officer or another type. You can't question authority and use critical thinking skills outside of the job. In other words, your not trained to recognize right and wrong. Only what your told what to do. This is why we here in America need to protect our 2nd amendment now more than ever. Because so long as we have the 2nd amendment, and so long as every American can be armed, this type of stuff can never happen to us. An invader would have to not only content with the US military, they'd also have to contend with every American they meet possibly being armed.

The soldiers setting up sniper positions is questionable, as the soldiers in the video were too many (and did not appear have sniper rifles); they were more likely part of local militia force, clearing apartments or looking for someone.
It’s safer and more advantageous to take Positions in a large building with many windows Rather than the streets. Even if there aren’t literal snipers, recoilless rifles, and optics could be used. They could be doing reconnaissance.
