I grew up in the Philippines. It’s difficult to get this kind of music back then because most radio stations are all about American Top 40. Luckily I found an obscure station that at least, gives snippets of the UK Top 5. It’s through that short 10-minute weekly program that I discovered this song (and others like Steve Hurley (Jack Your Body), Fairground Attraction (Perfect), Yazz & The Plastic Population (The Only Way Is Up), and many many others). I have a special in my heart for these brilliant and amazing UK acts.
Still playing it on my DJ Sets . I've played it back in 1988 and now 35 years later still sounds amazing still has the same effect on the crowd . It makes em have a PARTY !!!!
I'm still rocking this song in 2024! I used to shake my thang to this at The Mud Club, (I was mates with Phillip Salon... or maybe more of a 15 year old groupie? lol) The Wag Club, Cafe De Paris', and Heaven in the late 80's. If those clubs weren't fab enough, then along came... AAAccciiid & raves, where we'd have to follow little sign posts left all over London and the underground, then we'd try and rush to the venues before the cops busted it! My best friend, Julia (R.I.P) dated one of the dancers from this video. (Constance, the slim, dude on the left) I forget the other guy's name, maybe Nigel? I do know that he had a bonkers farmers accent, I think he was from Gloucestershire if I remember, rightly? They were both such SICK dancers, wherever we went they would have the crowds in awe, we used to get fast tracked into nightclubs too, which was a bonus. I felt so glam and important back in those days, if only I had of known at that time, that they were the best years of my life, I would have appreciated it a whole lot more! Mind you, I did rave my baps off, every weekend until the late 90's, so no regrets. It's a wonder I can even cobble a sentence together at my age!
This reminds me of club kids, ecstasy and weird Gaultier outfits. It was such a massive dance hit when it came out, and I mean MASSIVE. I remember it being played nonstop in every nightclub you went to, and the dancefloors would fill in seconds. You could literally hear it everywhere throughout the night.
Would have LOVED to have been in my teens then 😩 I was so young when this came out and I absolutely LOVED it even though it was a bit mind bending back then in my innocent year's 😂
I actually remember when Mark Moore was djying at Heaven’s. My sister took me there and it was … heaven ! It must have been 84 or 85. Tasty Tim was the other dj. What an era ! I’m not gay and I had a crush on mark Moore 😅

Use to love listening to this in stereo back in the day 1988.. Listening to the vinyl single record on the turn table and getting that 'leak' of sound emitting from the needle meant you had to close the record player lid so could just get the amplified sound through the speakers. Positioning between the left and right speakers so when the train sound effect would cone it would sound awesome when hearing it tearing left to right through your living room in stereo. Just a similar sensation to Yellow's 'The Race' when you hear the racing car zoom past your lounge! Another great late 1980s listening experience.

Bellissimi ricordi di un passato in discoteca. Spettacolare il basso sia nella melodia che nella ritmica suonato a doppio slang. Sicuramente un remix, quello di Jackie Quartz, fatto veramente bene!!
Yes this wasn't Disco leave that to Nile Rogers Donna Summer et al...this was House, where every young one with a sampler could get on Top o the Pops - lets not forget our childhoods played out to 60beats per second in Charley, Sesame's Treat and Trip to Trumpton ..

2023...... Brings bk memories from my teen years lol 90s flex klf, bomb the bass, s-express etc... What a time....love to know the acid dub?
40 years later and still good❤
This tune got a second wind when acid went bang summer 88 Blackburn partied till 91..hacienda..sequins...sett end amongst many faces and places till it died in Blackburn 91
Bellissimi ricordi di un passato in discoteca. Spettacolare il basso sia nella melodia che nella ritmica suonato a doppio slang. Sicuramente un remix, quello di Jackie Quartz, fatto veramente bene!!
This changed my life
Anyone else on a random 80s music binge?
Me, I'm in the 80's house mode at the mo:-)
Always mate...always... a few cans, some amazing memories and usually ending up with wet eyes ....great days
Eazy T those where the good old days of disco ...
DISCO??? hehe
No ... Disco came before S - Express this was HOUSE Music / Dance Music Disco is more like BLAME IT ON THE BOOGIE
Yes this wasn't Disco leave that to Nile Rogers Donna Summer et al...this was House, where every young one with a sampler could get on Top o the Pops - lets not forget our childhoods played out to 60beats per second in Charley, Sesame's Treat and Trip to Trumpton ..
Un sacré ovni au TOP 50 quand le titre est sorti! Bon souvenir d'enfance
