Rachel, getting old is party of life. We are all in the same boat. No sorry for your look. Your heart is so genuine and generous! I was / am your student. You threw me the KEYS for this kind of English.
❤ I’m good to go!
Thank you @DiOrnThaiinUSA!
We love your voice, Rachel. I want to speak like you but I never will. My native language is Russian but I am too getting old. I am a little bit older than you are and speaking without an accent is impossible. You just have to accept that you never will. ❤
Just keep on practicing and you'll get there @Summer-3!
That is so funny. We thought we could clearly distinguish between "collar" and "color" before listening to the podcast (ɔ for collar and ʌ for color). But when we listened to your podcast on the go, we realized that we actually could not see the difference between the two words when repeated after Rachel (maybe a little bit longer for collar). Then we talked about how we cannot distinguish between "comet" and "comment" in our recent talk with a native. If you'd like to talk about these two words, we will appreciate it. Thanks~
Thanks for the suggestion @rlh716!

Hi there @jimcachapero1249!
I think the most hard thing for people is that their 1st language is like their identity, then any other language is hard to learn with learning to pronounce it correctly because of the habbits of pronouncing the 1st language.
Thanks for sharing @nnll3808!

Hi, Ratchel. How are you doing? I hope you're doing well. I have a question which is : " how did you learn English? or how did natives learn English? " Thanks.
Hi! I learned English from my parents when I was a child. That's the language they taught me when I was learning to speak. Native speakers often learn their first language from their family members.
@@rachelsenglish Hi. The next question is : can we learn English like a native does? And how? Thanks.
Hello Rachel
I have a question about the correct pronunciation. Are there to learn all the phonetic transcription of all the words?
Hi @BetsyCuetoGaviria! You can find the IPA symbols next to each word in your dictionary. I highly recommend learning these symbols because they can help you learn the sounds for each word faster. More here: ua-cam.com/play/PL76E3034895AF6FF4.html&si=Sgls_eIxjc6vgUhD

Hello Rachel, you are a great teacher and a beautiful woman. The way you look gives me confidence not to cover my grey hair, as I am a teacher as well and I am getting old.
Glad to hear that @MKovaleva1!
Question: Interrupted during an interview, Kamala Harris said "I am not finished" . Why didn't she say "I have not finished" or "I am not done"?
"I am finished" seems to mean that I don't have a future, as in "I got caught cheating by the teaching. I am finished "
She could have said these, too! She used "finished" as an adjective here, rather than a verb.
