This scene is so emotional but at the same time victorious because Cruella finally avenged the death of her loved one, her adoptive mother Catherine Miller and exposed her biological mother Baroness Von Hellman's dirty secret.
Also having the evil Cruella stay and let sweet Estella be "dead".

@@rippingtons60 That's true as well,I interpret this scene as saying she's evil now and has gone to the dark side and is on her path to villainy ,but not the evil puppy killing cruella we love to hate.
True! And the Baroness is seriously a terrible liar too while all her guests and security witnessed what she did, and I don’t think she’s not going to get out of prison at anytime lol

"Goodbye, Estella. I'll take it from here." Although victorious over the baroness, she's completely lost herself in this Cruella persona. I don't know if I can call it a win because of what she becomes.

She has two sides to her personality Estella was the part of her who is a good person I don't think she'll be able to toss that part of her aside no matter how hard she tries, she may have that part of her buried but it's not gone

The parachute rescue is too far-fetched but i don't care about it because the movie in general is so beautiful, stylish, emotional, and musical. I just savoured watching it.

I love this scene so much,it basically confirms Cruella is here to stay and she's on the dark side now.Probably in the sequel she become more evil as she dives deeper into the dark side.
Well unfortunately she became an anti-hero she even gifted the Dalmatians to Anita and Roger so wouldn't make sense for her to want to kill them later when she grew fond of the dogs. In the sequel we might see her do evil things for the greater good tho and maybe to fight off competition and such
This movie is just the prequel,to be fair honest.101 Dalmatians IS THE SEQUEL.not some outrageous part 2.

Then later on in the film a few scenes later she apologizes to Jasper and Horace showing she still has good qualities like love within her. With all this she still has time to become to fur obssesed monster we know
What a masterpiece this movie is... the whole dark atmosphere, direction, score by Brittel.... just WOW. The best thing Disney has done for a long time.

Physically, she is the same obviously, but she is no longer Estella. He is already missing his old friend, maybe he doesnt even like Cruella...........Or maybe I am just overthinking the joke lol
It is played off as a joke, but in looking closer in what it may truly mean… I love how you put the conclusion in that.. cruella is all that remains. She isn’t dead on the outside, but her Purity is gone, only a cruel self reflection remains, one that later on would probably try to skin puppies

During the funeral when we see cruella toss in the necklace onto the cascet, it was her way of saying goodbye to her old life, her adoptive mother, her father that she never knew, the baroness and her old identity as estella miller so she could fully embrace her new life as cruella de vil.
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie.
Like the Phoenix, Cruella De Vil risen from the Ashes, But for Estella.. she has fallen
I bet one of those ideas was taking over the House of Baroness, renaming it the House of Devil and making it more successful than ever. Plus I bet the employees are MUCH happier with their new boss than they ever were with the Baroness.

I’m the only one who feels bad for that probably very expensive pendant and a memory of her the father who actually loved her and was heartbroken because of her “death”? I mean why did she throw it there?!??😭
I've read quite a fair amount of comments stating "Estella" died but you do realize Estella wasn't a real person it was a cognitive training device to take all the harsh, cruel and narcissitic traits and hide them, from the world to project this nicer, kinder version.
So in that sense it's more of a persona an image she put on into the world and Cruella is her real sense of self as she said "love me into shape" from here it will be interesting to see where they take this version of Cruella and what happens next in the story if it gets the green light for a sequel.
She is golden globe nominated character.

Even when I know what Cruella becomes in 101 Dalmatians, its so hard to hate this version of Cruella. It's rather fun and devious to be on the bad side for once. I guess it all depends on the people who are on that side. ;)

Part of me is unsure if I want a sequel because it'll further her development into becoming the one who wants to skin puppies for a coat.
I only wished there was one scene with the Baroness at the end. Removing her hair pieces:/wigs and revealing her natural hair color. It would be like her daughter Estella/Cruella.
Sometimes some villains backstory’s can be good in way you can or can’t describe but either way I didn’t really know there was a cruella movie regarding of her backstory

You know, I think she is not that evil like her first version. She could kill her mother but she just outsmart her and throw her in jail for crime that she really did. And she is good to her friends and even workers, so I kinda want her to be hero in sequel, beacuse I can't watch her downfall or she did a crime and get away.
Yea I mean Cruella was made by her own mother and she went through so much hard times it just seems so unfair that she ends up in a downfall.
If anything... they'll be pushing Cruella and Jasper together. Or Cruella will use fundraisers with her shows to help stray dogs find homes. Or even use dogs as models for her fashionable companion lines. All in all, Cruella isn't evil. She just wants to make art and have a loving home.

anti heroes aren't necessarily evil they can go either way we'll just have to wait and see which way she goes
If anything Cruella will use her influence and wealth to help out homeless dogs. Or advocate against a rival fashion company for using precious animals.

Has anyone noticed that these are the same shoes 0:29 that Glenn Close wore in 101 Dalmatians when her character was first introduced?
Honestly, this was a good movie, I like this take on the character and everyone is saying how reagic the ending is because of who she'll become, but they don't need to somehow make the story we know with Cruella to happen later. They did the same thing to Maleficent, two movies and neither of them really fit the original and that was fine. If Disney insists on retelling the story then yhy not stick to it and have her as an eccentric anti-hero? They already did some gags in this movie reminiscent of the original so there'd be no point in revisiting them, Kidnapping Dalmatians, the implied use of them to make a coat, etc.
I actually like this version of Cruella and there is a little difference between the old live action one and the animation one. This Cruella is different and it would be cool if they changed the story up a bit.

I liked Glenn Close's license plate spelling of De Vil much much better. But I guess they wanted no copies of any other movies.
It's a shame though, it gave it more character and intrigue.😊
