Aside from the windmills (all of which are now gone)...everything in Nantucket is exactly as it appears 100 years ago. I was there 2 weeks ago. Amazing!
Is this supposed to be sarcastic? The only part that still looks the same is the downtown. Everywhere else is all houses where it used to be countryside. And all the people there nowadays are newcomers too.

No wonder Colonel Hans Landa wanted to go to Nantucket isle, it's very pretty.

Actually , compared to most any other place, I think it is remarkably well preserved.
