Fine print for Maya 6% p.a. interest, this is only for PHP 100k. Over that, the standard 4.5% p.a. is applied.

Many complaints with maya users about locked account once they availed of that interest income, promos, vouchers, loans, etc. Just to be safe, just use what you have ang dont owe them anything. Rewards/points are ok as long as it came from your payments. Some users though are just up to what they can get out of the App. And dont transfer to Gcash and complain if you did not get your credit. I hope buying crypto has less fees than selling which currently has 5% both ways

at the age of 31 ngayon palang ako namumulat sa savings and all and i hope di pa huli ang lahat. Lucky me kasi mejo nakalaya na tayo sa pagiging breadwinner kasi tapos na yung mga pinapaaral ko at ngayon palang ako babawi sa sarili ko ngayon lang din babangon at ngayon lang din naging priority ang sarili. Cimb with 8% interest? Noooo. Kung may loan ka sakanila, dun lang madagdagan yan. Maraming criteria pa yan from the base 2.6% lang

There's a flaw with the compounding net interest = Compounding din yung TAX 😅. So in actuality, this just confuses people tbh. Pero props to MAYA for the 6% interest.
That's the closest we can get to combat the 7%~ inflation rate in the PH.
Just a few points to keep in mind before we commit to MAYA.
Still a win-win solution if may other reserves of money ka compared to other banks. Cons nya lang talaga its a digital bank, higher risks in terms of security compared to other banks in years of service and quality. Key takes is that this is a digital bank so understandable ang interest rate nila because they have less overhead cost compared with traditional banks.

Hello ms. Nicole, thank you for your video, i am very interested in savings, but one thing i am hesitant with online, like Maya or Gcash is. All of this application flatform will be down, or no connection, or sometimes the systems will say. The systems is on maintenance or upgrading, then its hard for connection to transacs especially you need an urgent emergency. So this could be hinder for me to put your money in an online flatform.
However, i want to know if there is a physical building or office location of this flatform if in case problem arises and we can go to it to transac personally.

Contrary to the excel presentation of compounding interest, Additional interest rate (1.5% in 6% gross interest rate) only applies up to 100k in excess regular rate will apply which is 4.5% but still malaki pa rin ung interest compared to other banks.
