  • In this video, I show you how to aim, adjust, and align your headlights so that they point directly forward and the beam patterns are evenly spaced apart. You don't want your headlight beam patterns be too high or too low. If headlights are too high they will blind on coming drivers and traffic. If your headlights are too low, they won't light up the road.

    Thank you for posting quality content! You keep me motivated to keep my ‘87 on the road! I have the XLT Lariat with chrome bumpers. It’s a classic look that’s not for everyone, but it’s what I got and I love it. My front bumper has been drooping on one side and is definitely in need of alignment. Many of the ‘80s and ‘90s f-series trucks on the road seem to be suffering from the same problem. I’m sure it’s an easy fix, but we don’t know how to do it! Any chance you can make a video on how to keep the bumpers on these old trucks straight? Thanks!

      Good recommendation! It’s funny you should mention that because my rear bumper is drooping on one side. It isn’t properly aligned with the tailgate. It’s a simple fix but I can definitely cover it in a video.

    Never had an issue with my headlights on my 97 7.3 but when a bulb went I went to replace it and that very same night i noticed my line of sight and distance was no better when I only had the single light. My buddy told me to adjust em. Didnt see the adjustment screws where as my bricknose 91 460 and a previous 92 Silverado I had years ago the screws were both in plain sight right above the headlight assembly. Never had to do it on a 92-96/97 aeronose truck so your video does provide a bit of help. But I'm just wondering how they'd come out of adjustment simply by replacing a bulb. I'm assuming (I didn't watch it all) the Phillips is for left n right adjustment and the 5/32nds socket is for up n down . I'm gonna try this tomorrow and see if I can actually see more than 15 feet ahead of me

    • @TheMinuteMasters
      @TheMinuteMasters  7 місяців тому

      I’m
      Not sure how a new bulb would change the alignment unless the bulb is crooked. But who knows. The filament in the bulb could have something to do with it.

    Is that the HID projector setup from your other video? I bought 9007 LEDs after doing a little research, but they do not seat properly in the headlight assembly. I noticed in one of your other videos giving feedback about using the LED after a year, you showed the LED bulb which looks identical to the one I got but not how you mounted them. Would you be able to upload something to show how to mount the LED, or just some tips/tricks? Anything is appreciated.

    • @TheMinuteMasters
      @TheMinuteMasters  2 роки тому

      Yup, those are the same HID projector headlights from a previous install video.
      So if you are trying to increase your light output from your stock housings with aftermarket bulbs, you won’t be satisfied. The LEDs are super bright but the light isn’t focused. The old style halogen housings don’t reflect the light properly. I had people flocking there brights at me all the time. With my projectors. I have all the light I could ever want and it’s very focus. Plus, I’ve never had anyone flick their brights at me.

    I’m Sad Minutes Masters. After Tackling My suspension (all I gotta left to do is the axel pivot bushings). My Truck developed several leaks 🙁 My power Steering pump . Water pump hose: and I have a transmission leak I find the red fluid in the crossmember in the bottom. My transmission dipstick is dry

    • @TheMinuteMasters
      @TheMinuteMasters  2 роки тому

      That sucks man! The power steering pump and water pump hose are definitely easy ones to fix.
      The one to worry about is the transmission leak. I would dry all the fluid off the exterior of your transmission and then fill it up with fresh fluid. Then you will see where it’s leaking from. They are only a half a dozen areas where I can leak. Trans pan gasket, dip stick tube, tail shaft gasket, inside the bell house is the pump seal and torque converter seal. Those last two require the transmission be removed. The others can be fix with the transmission installed.

      @@SC-dt4ij Ah yes, that’s a transmission fluid cooling line. I would just get a new rubber hose and hose clamps and replace it. That plate on the transmission tail piece leaks on mine too. I tried researching it and didn’t come up with much. I may take a picture of it and post it to a forum and see what some of the transmission experts say.
