is there a reason to clipper over the comb the bottom what is the downside to just using shears to remove the bulk then taking the fade from there?
I would say the downside is just the time you save by using the clipper over comb because you can remove the bulk and set it your shape that you will be blending into. But for me personally I still go in with the shears and texturizing shears to touch up areas at the top of the blend

With the vertical bar enhancments, what i like to do after is spray my straight razor with alcohol aftershave and get rid of that extra enhancment that elongates the vertical bar

Havin the same problem because my collection is so small cuz I’m starting out. So far the babyliss pro fx’s have been my life savers. I got the slimline pros at first because they were so hyped up and I eventually zero gapped them but they would literally not cut any hair that was short. When I hold my slimline and babyliss trimmers in both my hands you can easily til which has a more powerful motor and that’s the babyliss trimmers. I’m planning on getting an Andis custom trimmer since they have been the og’s forever and I’m gonna get the Wahl professional 5-star detailer since I’ve some people use it and the reviews are good. Just so I can make my selection larger.

Did the Instincts take getting used to because of how small they are?
Absolutely, but it was a quick adjustment. Nothing crazy. There super light. I feel like all my trimmers are heavier than that clipper
@@Ajblendz Thanks for the response. Yeah, I really wanna try them out. The main clippers I use are the Wahl Seniors, so I figured it’d take some adjustment switching from those to the Instincts. And they’re even lighter all of your trimmers? Damn. I’m trying to decide between the Instincts and the Gamma+ Boosted.
@@JayUBeezy I have the boosted as well. They are my favorite clippers it’s got the shape a weight of the magic clips and it power of seniors. Great over all clipper. But I put the faper blade on it an toom off the fade blade. You can’t go wrong with either one

dunno how I feel about lineups especially on more grown out hair like that. I have a similar hair type as the guy in the video, but I don't get fades or lineups, I just let it grow out and keep it natural. I think that having baby hairs like that guy did and lining them up makes it look like bad micro bangs, but to each their own.
