Side dumps are preferred in northern states because even during freezing temp's its easier to get moist material out than through a belly dump after being OH to where ever the material is being taken to.. And you don't have as many people working on 1 crew up north and a driver can visually see where they are dumping vs having to have a spotter tell you when.
As a heavy equipment operator most of my career, there's a reason why equipment is painted YELLOW . So you can see it ,especially if you're doing night work.
Just saw a Godwin pump unit on rental at 6:47. Had a little moment as I work for the uk branch where we build the product, nice to see it on sight doing good work
Bozemaner here. They like side dumps around here for the reason that many haul up to the Yellowstone club/big sky where there’s not always room to move around when unloading, side dumps can just sit in one spot and unload then drive away. Limited space unloading on the mountain side.
You should hop on over to Bend Oregon. A new Costco is going in with some massive cuts, blasting and crushing, site work etc. Big job. Along with Kiewit putting in a new hwy bypass and overpass right next to the Costco job!
Serious question - why not drill the ground then install the pipes for the de-watering system? I never seen the PVC pipes going in the ground to possibly I've missed a step that would explain the reason!
@@theattachmentco I agree with you. Would be extremely simple to mount a 24” auger on that excavator and it obviously has the reach since they’re using one to hold their contraption down.
As someone who is serving active duty army as a equipment operator, im looking to get out and pursue a job just like this, do companies like these look favorably at servicemen with backgrounds in construction?
Sadly most likely, another Rancher or Farmer needing to make ends meet $$$... has to sell off some of his or her Property. I used to live up there in the Big Sky, sadly it surly has changed not for the better. Montana has been Discovered !
@ 7:06 ----> Kinda silly using 1000's of gallons of water to dewater a site... An auger would've been an easier / more effective method of installing the PVC. 🤔
Nothing against the guys just trying to make a living but this is literally the saddest video I’ve ever seen. Prime farm/ agricultural land destroyed for a couple more McMansions in the gallatin valley. They are literally pumping out the groundwater. Sad and regressive. FYI I’m also a Montana native.
I can tell you first hand experience doing well points that way is way more efficient than trying to dig there fun when you really put lots of air and water to them they have enough force to lift a 750 size hoe
What a waste of great farmland. I bet the neighbors are real happy for all of city Slickers moving out there and then they will start complaining about cattle and hay baling operations. Btw why in the world would anybody paint a piece of equipment black? You can’t see it in low light operations plus if it was in Texas you couldn’t give it away hot as it is.

nice thank you
I had also heard due to high winds in the plains. I drive doubles in Michigan we have a set of double side dumps it’s very rare here

Agree on that ,some things look good blacked out ... but that actually doesn't look to good. Maybe throw some crome parts on it.
Great advice...🤦♂️ You have done nothing but destroy our children's future...
@@ezmeraldadudortoka7549 LOL 😂 I don't have children...so ... they aren't OUR CHILDREN. Good try .... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@ezmeraldadudortoka7549what’s your malfunction?!

Watching your videos is awesome! I love that in this video you’re talking about the machines more and the process of what’s going! Awesoke work
thanks for watching!
Just saw a Godwin pump unit on rental at 6:47. Had a little moment as I work for the uk branch where we build the product, nice to see it on sight doing good work
That make great pumps we use them in New England for dewatering
Another great video, Aaron. Educational keeping us up to date on different things. Keep up the great work! Thanks for sharing and have a great day!!
thanks for watching!
Best thing I ever did was become a heavy diesel operator. Love these machines
That drone footage is smooth as butter

makes sense thank you
In the Seattle area we always use a drill rig for drilling the dewatering well casings, I’ve never seen the method used in this video, interesting!
Crazy to see this video because I’m delivering pipes there Tuesday from California pretty cool!

Bend is blowing up!
@@AaronWitt I worked at the new Costco in Redding, CA. 6 months from ground breaking to opening! 30 pump gas station and every pump has diesel!
Poly Fusion is the way of the future man
So many people hung up on the one black grader hahah cat does make special editions and who cares what if it was the only one in the state.
Intresting to see the the different design of the side tippers. The ones in Australia look shorter in the wheel base
It’s so funny that tilt rotators are a rare thing to see in USA and every crane in Netherlands or Germany comes standart with one.
Seems like a good boss to work for
the gold ol stand on the tracks of excavator while swinging conductor montana BOIZ
Can you show more field repair stuff? Good variety in this video!
we'll see what we can do
@@AaronWitt thanks! It would be good to showcase the need for qualified mechanics, and this is a viable route to take over auto mechanic work.

I would think they are using what they have, as opposed to acquiring a boring unit. Did seem a tad on the messy side I agree.
If memory serves me right it was due to the material / cost. A drill rig with the proper casing would've cost a pretty penny
@@AaronWitt appreciate the reply, thank you. Didn't look like it was that deep, thought they could have drilled with the excavator

HDPE is extremely common for use in water main. Most cities are switching to HDPE and C900 as a standard
Whattt you were in the neighborhood and didn’t stop to say hi?
You’ll have to come back this summer.
I'll be up there some time
Amazing tractor bro 😎🙏
I'm here to inform you that a certain "Bruce Wayne" really likes this grader. 😁😎🤟
You should see if there’s any chance you can do a video on an oil rig up here in North Dakota
You should check out dewind and dewatering in holland mi they have some crazy machines
Well done brother 7:39
I'd love to see you do a municipal dot or paving crew somewhere just to show how teadous road work is.
Crisdel in NJ has the coolest paint jobs on all their equipment
I see some TMC trucks in there 😁
As a heavy equipment operator . That looks hot . Even with ac lol
If you remove the groundwater from that area, isn’t it going to come back? Also, if you remove it is there a chance of it settling out and sinking?
Should’ve stopped by Sime construction, best dirt workers in Bozeman by far!

yeah really any construction company is hiring good people who are willing to work hard

Big Sky has but plenty of the state is still untouched thank goodness
All that water, might as well make it a lake and put houseboats on it.
Aaron, how can I get one of those fire dozer stickers?
I honestly don't remember where I got it
How much more farmland are we going to destroy before we discover where our food comes from?
Shoooow i love CAT 140M🤗❤🙋♂️
Those are called Well Points
aaron seems hungover or something lmfao
It was because it was our third week living in an RV
The way they drilled to get those water extraction pipes in seems so inefficient compared to a more typical drill. What is the reason for this method?
come to Missoula Montana an tour the cat dealer

These side tippers would be more efficient if some of that length doing nothing but taking up space was removed.
