The US 69 Express project is a joint venture between Ames Construction and Emery Sapp and Sons dedicated to building new express lanes outside Kansas City.
Once complete, people can pay to use the express lanes during peak hours, which will help get them home faster. To make it happen, they're moving over one million yards of earth, building new bridges, and relocating miles of utilities.

Just add more lanes, it totally hasn't been tried before which lead to them realizing that you don't fix traffic by adding lanes. Hey this atleast makes more sense than claiming coal is better for enviroment than wood.

This is not transporting people too and fro within a city. This section of road is funneling people in and out of the Kansas side of Kansas City to very rural areas where they live 20, 30, 40 miles south of town. There will NEVER, EVER be anything resembling mass transit in that area for the next 100 years at a minimum.

After moving to south Florida and working on big road widening jobs ,I'm now retired and live in a smaller area in Central Florida. I'll never live where I have to sit in traffic when I want to go somewhere. I worked on the big bridge job in Moore Haven Florida where the first beam set across the inter - coastleway after being set fell onto the barge holding the other beams. What a mess. I was working for The Middlesex Company.

@@AaronWittit’s more than that, the Highway Trust Fund has been looted by politicians who have used the funds for their own political purposes instead of reallocating the funds for projects as it was intended to do. The fund needs to be abolished and what the States bring in via Fuel Tax’s should stay in the State, NOT sent to the Federal Government to use at its own discretion. Why should taxpayers from ie Michigan pay for roads projects in California? They SHOULDN’T!
