This is beautiful. Thank you so much for this tutorial as well as your others. One thing, though, is that you measured your wrist plus 1 inch, but then overlapped the elastic 1 inch which uses 2 inches of elastic and makes the elastic actually 1 inch shorter than your wrist. I think maybe if you used your wrist length plus 1 inch and then overlapped the elastic only 1/2 inch and sewed it OR added 2 inches to the length of your wrist of elastic and overlapped 1 inch to sew, either way would give you the elastic in the exact measurement of your wrist and perhaps make the bracelet fit better. Love your products too and I'm definitely going to have to order some of those bead rollers.
I like thisvone. Julie did you know Janice Mae sells Vibrance in a 16 Oz bottle now. When can we except more new videos by you making some beautiful jewelry. You make such wonderful things. I miss seeing you.
Thanks for sharing this creative bead idea, but i'm how come you have to add & glue one paper to another one, instead of just cutting the length of both in one string, also what is a PC Petrifier?
I used 8½"x 11" paper so to get the correct size, I used more than one strip. PC-Petrifier is a wood hardener that I use to base coat my beads to make them hard before dipping them in a shiny top coat.
Sandra Gallant-Crabtree I am not sure. The beads end up with an oval shape so the 1mm elastic cord would end up on one side or the other. The beads were made with the 1/4" wide elastic in mind. You probably could if you ran 2 strands through them and combine them with regular beads between each oval hole bead so the regular beads are side by side.
That was pretty. I've never seen a bead made oval before. Thanks! Just wondered what web site you use to print your paper from. Do you search printed images. I'm no to computer savvy. Thanks keep making your videos.mary
Mary Stoddard I used scrapbook paper for the beads in the photo. I bought a tablet of paper for $5.00 at Walmart. It is 8½"x11" in size. Other papers I make myself with the Bead Sheet Designer Program on my web site at www.paperbeadcrafts.com. Once in a while I will use Microsoft Publisher to make bead sheets as well.
I've been making paper beads for some years now. i have been using 3 coats of Judkins Diamond Glaze and now that i see the wood hardener is cheaper and makes it far more waterproof than the Glaze I've been using I'm very interested in your method of glazing. I just want to know about the liquid laminate you talk about. (did you find it online? is it available in stores? and what's the best brands?) I also am curious as to what the difference is between that and the Vibrance you spoke of in your glazing process video. sorry for all the questions but I feel your method is cheaper, more beneficial, as well as quicker than hand painting each bead. please just get back to me when you can and thank you for all of your great advice and tricks! happy crafting!
+xninjaxlettex I do not think you can get the Liquid Laminate anymore. I bought my directly from the manufacturer a few years ago and I have not been able to find it available anywhere in any size. When my supply is gone, I will be switching to Vibrance. The liquid laminate is clear to begin with where the Vibrance is a milky white and dries clear. I like both equally.
That is so pretty. Thank you for your tutorial. xxxxxx
Excellent inspirational tutorial!
You are so very talented. Thank you for sharing.
enjoyed watching your video. I can't wait to try this type of bead
very interesting and probably easy to follow........ I would need the tool to be successful.

Very nice to see a new bead, I can make use of my double tool. Could you use 1mm elastic cord?

Well that's unfortunate that they no longer make it but thanks a ton! You're so helpful :)
xninjaxlettex , Janice Mae makes a bead dip for paper beads, non toxic, waterproof and gardener. First dip just for paper!
