Do you want to get „Postcards from Maggi“? I recently started my newsletter where I share some updates and behind the scenes stuff… I think it is a nice way to stay connected outside of UA-cam. It‘s published every first Sunday of the month (which I believe is more than enough… 😂 I‘m not that interesting and less is more). Make me happy and sign up here: maggifuchs.kit.com/signup
I do a very simplified BuJo style task list for work every day - pen and paper, since I'm at my desk and it's easiest for me to reach for the notebook and jot it down on the fly. But for personal stuff, I've been trying to get into digital journaling for a little bit, and haven't been exactly loving it. Microsoft To-do and their Outlook integration is just too nice and easy to use since I'm such a task oriented person, but I do miss just *writing* sometimes! And I have to say, I didn't think about separating short-term and long-term information like that. What a simple yet effective concept :D
I always prefer journal writing with a pen to typing on a keyboard. Until you held up that Apple pencil! Omg. I never made the connection that it is not just a cool tech tool. It’s not just a stylus. It’s exactly the same as a pen! The hand/brain connection is the same, you just use different “paper”. Honestly, I don’t own an Apple pencil because my iPad is too old, so I always considered it a nice-to-have accessory, someday. Clearly its time for an upgrade. And then I can stop having so many notebooks! Thanks Maggi. You have changed my thinking too!
I’ve got an iPad Pro and Pencil but I’ve just got a Kindle Scribe. Already finding it much less distracting and giving me more focus. I still use the iPad and other tablets but I just love the feeling of the Scribe for writing compared to the iPad. I tried paper like screen protectors but it just wasn’t the same and I didn’t like how it dulled the display.
rising like a phoenix from the ashes.....hilarious..... Maggi your personality comes across so sweet. Thx for sharing this info....trying to add the accessibility button now..... and thinking about the mini.....
Great video! My company is in the windows world, so I have to use one note. In the past I had the need for templates and planners. Your video helps me simplify the need. I do like your style of pages, so have you created a template of pdf you can share? Lol😂 love my iPad mini and Apple Pencil.
Sorry, I don‘t really have any templates… 😅 I just always draw what I need in Goodnotes, and when I want it „non-erasable“, then I export it as an image or as a screenshot and add it again. I talk a little bit more about how I do that here: ua-cam.com/video/llI-ynef6C8/v-deo.html
03:14 make a video on this , why Goodnotes 6 didn't excite you ?! I am on GN5 and even i am not considering upgrading to GN6 since i am a student and all i do is annotate PDFs. Please make a video on this , your parents will live 100 more years. Thanks 👍
Hi Maggi, I want to transfer exactly the same format from my custom paper logbook that I have been keeping for years to a digital version. Can this be done by creating a template and just switching? Will Apple Notes allow me to do this?
I think in theory you can create a similar template in lots of programs. I have never tried to do it in Apple Notes to be honest (because I prefer to write with the Apple pencil and I don‘t like how Apple Notes implemented that), so I am afraid I will not be able to share any input on this.
Hi Maggie. Can you use Goodnotes offline? I’m trying to go digital after seeing your video😊 I will have an iPad mini only WiFi. I just wondered if I can write notes even when/where there is no WiFi available.
Yes, you can. It is no problem at all when you only use one device. If you sync between two or more devices, I would make sure to open it at least once when I still have a connection to avoid any sync problems. But even though I sync to all my devices, I usually don‘t have to worry too much about that, because the main device for me is the iPad Mini and 99.9% of the time I write and add new things to Goodnotes there.
Hi! How did you set to “open goodnotes” with the AssistiveTouch? It only let me use the menú or some other ópticos but i can’t find how to set goodnotes to open T.T
Of course you may ask! 😊 Yes, I usually create them in Goodnotes. When I wont them „non-eraseable“, I usually export them as an image or as a screenshot and then just add them again. I talk a little bit more about how I create my templates in this video: ua-cam.com/video/llI-ynef6C8/v-deo.html Hope it helps! :)
I am afraid I will not be able to provide a step by step walkthrough to both things myself, but there are tons of resources and great videos available. For bullet journaling, I recommend Ryder Carrols channel. He is the inventor of the bullet journal and he has some great instructions for beginners. I hope that helps. :)
I agree, but I often have very similar lists / elements and I find it too hard to distinguish them with the tiny previews they give you in the elements section - that‘s why I prefer to copy and paste them from my Templates document. 😊

Pleased to meet another obviously brilliant mind… 😉😁

You are right. Mindset makes the difference. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and tips.

Exactly this! You beautifully and eloquently said it in a few words while I need a whole video to explain what I mean… 😂 love this! ♥️

Thanks for sharing about your mindset shift, it really helps me to think through my journal planning. I do hope to achieve journal peace too. ❤
Thank you so much! 😊
Love this! Thanks for sharing!

good video. i love your apartment
Thank you! Unfortunately it‘s not my apartment. I gave it up to travel. 😅

Also give your video a catchy name so that millions will come and watch the video because 8 myself know few thousands who don't wanna upgrade to GN6 !
I love this video! ❤❤
Happy to hear that :)
Helpful thanks ❤

@@MaggiFuchs Thanks, Maggie. That’s good to hear. I’m planning to use it mostly on iPad mini too. Very excited about this transition!
Brilliant! You have me thinking now... What is the name of the 'dot' program?
Do you mean the floating dot?
Yes @@MaggiFuchs 😃
It‘s not a separate program, it‘s part of the iPads standard accessibility features. In the video at 11:38 I put the instructions :)
Hi! How did you set to “open goodnotes” with the AssistiveTouch? It only let me use the menú or some other ópticos but i can’t find how to set goodnotes to open T.T
It‘s set to an ios shortcut that opens my Goodnotes with the documents that I want. :)
If I may ask, how do you create templates? Is there an app you use or do you create them in Goodnotes?
Of course you may ask! 😊 Yes, I usually create them in Goodnotes. When I wont them „non-eraseable“, I usually export them as an image or as a screenshot and then just add them again. LMEO since "Give Maggi a foot massage" HAHAHAHAHAHA. I'll totally do that with my husband HAHAHAHHA
Well… if it‘s on the list, it better get‘s done!!! 🤣 I can only recommend sharing a todo list with your husband. 😊
As a person who has a stationary fetish, I know I need to change. Thank you for the Info.🙂
I need more details on using goodnotes and how to bullet journalling
I need step by step because I wasn't too successful with paper bullet journal
I am afraid I will not be able to provide a step by step walkthrough to both things myself, but there are tons of resources and great videos available. Very informative as always Maggi ❤🙏
Glad you think so! And at least Craft was mentioned this time… 😅
@@MaggiFuchs hehe 😀 . Loved the craft ❤. I feel so lucky you remembers my requests ❤😊. You are so nice maggi👍
Have a great day ! 😊
I promise it‘s coming… just don’t know when I will get to it.. 😉
@@MaggiFuchs ❤thank you Maggi ❤😊

no need to copy and paste small templates every time just add them in the elements section & use them whenever you need.
I agree, but I often have very similar lists / elements and I find it too hard to distinguish them with the tiny previews they give you in the elements section - that‘s why I prefer to copy and paste them from my Templates document. 😊
What is that magical dot ? 😂
I did lose your name in my paper bujo! Took an age to find you amount the hundreds of travel UA-cam s!
Wished I did have a search function!.,🦘🦘🦘🦘🤪❤️
