    Good video... only thing I would add is to put tape on fuel line connectors on both the pump and lines. just in case to prevent any dirt or grime getting in the lines.

    This fuel Filter is identical to my Maserati Ghibli, and indeed many other vehicles form the same manufacturing group, it was the openly video that showed me how to change the filter. I was more concerned about filling the filter with fuel before tarting, but you went through this also, so great video and yes very helpful albeit fo ra different vehicle. Other vehicles include Jeep, GMC, Peugeot, Lancia, Alfa, you can get this Information from the drop down part compatibility from most online parts websites. Oh... finally my filter for Maserati is £60-70 , the Fiat/Alfa one is circa £10.

    Thank you sir, I've been looking for a video which features this particular type of Fiat Mopar filter housing to check the procedure and see what lies inside exactly. I have a low mileage '17 Tipo 1.3 Multijet, (definitely same housing) which is just coming up to the 3 yr point and wanting to change the filter myself, this helps enormously. Thank you again!

    Useful video, but the what if the warning light stays on after fitting a new filter? Are certain filter brands incompatible?

    • @stevieg7403
      @stevieg7403  4 місяці тому

      Absolutely not there is no way for the car to know what type of filter you put inside the unit. if you’ve got a warning light on there must be an issue somewhere else in the system. Try making sure you have seated the plug back into its socket correctly. failing that you might need to use an OBD reader to reset the warning light.

    Hi Stevie, thanks for this 😊 I was going to take mine to the garage. Did you feel confident doing it? I have done work on cars, but always get nervous when it comes to the fuel side of things. Do you have any mechanical background? Or did you just go for it? Thanks

      This is absolutely something you can do for yourself it’s pretty straightforward just follow the video and you won’t go wrong to be honest you can pretty much do any job on the car as long as you have somewhere to work on the car. good luck. Let me know how you get on. Like most things, including DIY, you start by wiring a three pin plug, and before you know it, you’re wiring a new consumer unit into the house, choose your jobs wisely, choose jobs that stretch you a little bit and your confidence will grow.
