@@A1STBornKiLLa The 3.0 being Solid wants to roll up a little sooner to me, the effect is more off the spot and goes a little longer. Recently I had the chance to sand down the surface on the effect to use on a sport pattern, once I took the cover down, the ball became an earlier and more overall ball than the 3.0.
I couldnt resist ordering one.. i just drilled a phaze v (60x4,5x30) and it hit the spot in my bags but i still feel like i needed something stronger and this just looks like that. Any recommendations for layout? (500+ revs 17-19mph 1hander)
Hey nice to hear I was able to influencing you on getting this gem! If you bowl on more sport conditions and tougher patters I would recommend something with a slightly shorter pin distance around 3 3/4 - 4 inches (i.e 40 x 3 3/4 x 30) or if you bowl on more house shots and want to move left with it and stay ahead of the transition from everyone, consider something 4 1/2 - 5 inches away (i.e 45 x 4 1/2 x 30). Let me know how the ball rolls!
Slightly different shape, I think the effect has more overall shape. If you’re more speed dominant, I think the effect will be more suitable as it will probably hook more overall and give more entry angle. If you’re rev dominant, I would recommend archetype hybrid for more control
@@broski818 That's actually the ball I use on heavier conditions, so that's actually my 1-2 punch when I need earlier pieces and shape. It's definitely a good compliment to have as a solid to pearl combo.
A lot of reviewers - especially Ron Hickland - is saying that it is an orange/citrus scent. Scents aside, it is more interesting that Storm abandoned the patent for scenting bowling balls.
@@zackrazali7545 I agree, but sometimes that part of the lane isn’t really accessible on the house shot, due to the low volume. That’s why I try to throw other balls to compare, so that owners of those balls can see the difference between the 2. I’m not expecting everyone to throw it or have the same reaction as myself, but the comparison should be relatively the same. I will also change up the videos in the near future to gain different types of viewers as well. Thanks for the input
Great review guys! Love the added “animations” showing the slide arrows and breakpoints! Excellently executed!!! Sly throws it pretty good too ;)
Thanks for the positive feedback!
@@900proshophow’s this compare to the black widow 3.0?

Great review, and I appreciate the comparisons, helps a lot when evaluating which balls to get. Nice hand release!
Appreciate the feedback and the compliments!
Outstanding review!
Thanks!

How does your jopo lock in so easy? I have to crank mine with the wrench.
I am using a VISE IT interchangeable thumb, not JoPo. It is a quicker and smoother twist and lock system.
Excellent bowling ! What are the name brand of those shoes ?!
Those are the KR Strikeforce Gladiators!
Thank you
You said you did pin up... what were your angles on layout?... just curious... ball looks like a monster💪
The one in this video is 70 x 3 1/2 x 35. I did also drill up a second one recently at 50 x 3 1/4 x 85 to compliment one another!
Which u think is more versatile Archetype, hybrid, or hammer effect tryna get a ball That’s versatile

What's your ball weight? I've been throwing 14 lately and I know the rg and diff values are different
15 pounds! Yea the 15lb has slightly lower RG, getting the core to want to rev up/start up a little sooner. However the diff is the same.
@@900proshop Yeah that's my only concern with throwing 14. I recently bought an extreme envy. You think this Effect is a good compliment to that?

so... what does it smell like
vaguely orange like

Yea! Very citrous-y and tangy!
@athlonen I think the patent expired. Isn't 20 years?
My pi oddly smelt like orange chocolate as well. Odd that multiple sources are smelling lots of orange scents with various things. @@900proshop
I've seen alot of YT guys roll the Effect just flawlessly...unfortunately it dont do the same for me...complete waste of $400
You are showing the way you throw...you need to show from 1st,2nd and 3rd arrow how this bowling ball does...need to improved for better viewers..?
