You can easily replace the external resettable fuse (the tan blob on top of the SOD) if you have a small pair of pliers and a soldering iron. 10 minutes tops (plus however long it takes the soldering iron to warm up).
Exactly what I wanted to ask as well. Drivers side is fine but the passenger side only goes up half way and doesnt go back all the way down... Did you find a fix for that?
Good info, but the portrait video is hard to watch! I have both mirrors on 2 civics to repair! but I'm going the cheap route and replacing the poly fuse for £1.70 per mirror
Not sure if you’re still experiencing the problem but in mine it would only move a few millimetres at a time every time I turned the car on, replacing this fixed it
i guess Im randomly asking but does anyone know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the login password. I love any help you can give me
@Colby Neil i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Just what I was looking for. Cheers mate 👍
Liked the video, very helpful, my passenger mirror is the exact same at the moment.

@@wookanio I repaired the mirrors replacing that electronic board. They work as new now ;)
Great video
Is there a SOD in each wing mirror?
Nooooo... You dont need to take the glass out of it! Just take a rubber glove and you can pull the plastic lid off!
Thanks James

hi, does this work for ep3 mirrors too?
Great video mate
Question: was your mirror dead completely? Because mine begins to budge just a little, like a milimeter.

Very Informative 👍
Thank you so much.
Those pliers look like 81s?
Haha. That's just what I thought. Not many people know they are actually AT1s .. "Apparatus Terminating No1" from the BT stores book
Nice one thanks.
When removing the glass do you squeeze the two bits holding the wires or you just pull them away? Thanks, great video!

@Colby Neil it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my account!
@Bowen Rey happy to help =)
Tried this and my mirror moved once and nothing again. The fuse hasn't blown as it still has continuity.
Hi, and did you solve the problem?
Weird why some people still say wing mirror rather than door mirror.
My mirrors are totally different, when you remove this cover you cant see this SOD...
cheers
volume level too low?
