This is one of the better sounding cars out there with just a muffler delete. You don't really need a new resonator. It sounds good
Great video and detail. I've had many combinations but always found that the Coyote is raspy with an H pipe an the multiple mufflers I've tried. When I've found a muffler that isn't raspy it suffers too much drone. I went back to the resonator and added Mishimoto race axle backs (straight pipes) and it's absolutely spot on. Exactly as you describe. I think people knock the muffler delete because there are so many expensive exhausts out there they think are so good. For the money this a no brainer. Even if you don't like it it's well worth doing to start with as it's so cheap. I have the same chuckle when driving mine.

I can't believe how much louder this is. I literally did this mod today with cobra tips n muffler delete n its shocked me how loud it is. I did similar on my camaro n never got this result at all on the chevy. I had to go decat full straight pipe
The 1-2-3 pull on stock exhaust kinda sounded like an atv or a quad. Definitely an upgrade ditching those mufflers

Any issues with mt82? Mine started to crank in 5th gear and suddenly sparks the check engine then turns off , car works “fine in general just drived 700 miles trip.
Did same to mine, love it, on my 2015 I did resonater delete, hated it, this time I left resonater on, sounds so much better. Not obnoxious, sounds good.
How was the drone?
It’s not super loud unless you stomp on it, it’s just the sound I was looking for. Leave resonater on, or it will pop, leaving it on gives you just the right amount of back pressure. Was $180 at local muffler shop for just the muffler delete, but I replaced my tips for extra $60, looks better than the stock tips as I went with black tips to keep with the blacked out look.
the first thing I did to my 2015 Mustang GT was delete the mufflers , this 70 year old man is a happy old fart .
GT cold start has to be the sexiest
I’m my opinion this sounds better than noisy axelbacks resonators etc .

It’s only bad between 60-65 mph in 6th gear.

Yes factory resonator.. basically just straight piped from the axles back.

All the 5.0 will sound good without muffler. The 4.6 will need a new resonator to clean up the sound

Golift79 yes. And yes. The only thing removed was the mufflers after the rear axle. Cats and mid resonator left in tact.

@@SuitOne well he said he was missing 2 cylinders but since I dropped out the math might be wrong 8-2=6 which any v6 after the new edge sounds like a 350 and to response to the eco boost sounding bad there is such thing as a straight piped honda

Yes. I have the 6 speed manual with the 3:73 rear gears and in 6th gear between 55-60 there is drone.

Andrew Ragle any car with drone can be drowned out with music I usually play music when I’m commuting long distance and when I wanna hear my exhaust I just mute my music
I now have my 15 GT straight piped. It’s loud as balls but the drone kinda sucks. I sound proofed the trunk which helped I just need to do the rest of the car too.

Mufflers are for sound reduction. It has nothing to do with power

TH3 MAST3R do it urself tbh I know some shops that do it for a couple bucks but if you wanna save money just do it urself and cut the muffler off

Andrew willis the sad thing is that those tires were not that old. I ripped 0 burnouts. Turned out the wheels alignment was way off. It was crazy because the car tracked straight. Tires were replaced. Alignment was taken care of and it’s been much better since lol. Thanks for watching
Everyone dropping $1000 on full exhaust, just cut them mufflers off and spend that cash on sum 4.10 gears and 2" drop springs.

Carguments I liken this to a kid with a Honda Civic putting a “Fart Can muffler” on and thinks he now drives an exotic. The GT’s have a VERY distinct sound, unlike any other car on the road. I love them just the way they are.
