I'm just going to say these are way nicer than anything you get from the State or Europe. The fact is you want to protect your industry and make your citizens buy old style way more expensive with no options vehicles is just madness.
Test drove a BYD for the first time year ago, it felt like such leap in quality and technology compared to my old European cars. I've owned one for about 8 months now and i have absolutely no desire to ever return to the old western and Japanese legacy brands.
The MG7 is now available for purchase in the Vietnam market. I believe it will be a great addition to the current models MG is selling here as well, such as MG5, HS, ZS, RX5. Anyway, this year has seen the arrival of nearly a dozen Chinese car brands in Vietnam.
I love the Chinese car companies because they aren’t restricted by conservative shareholders so they’re willing to experiment with exciting new tech and designs that they would never attempt in the West.
The CEOs are usually/often half the age and invested in the company they started. I think Wheelsboy did a chat on this. Did you have an Asian kid at your school who was top of the class and a dullard who rich dad owned the largest business in town. You know the dullard will get to the top, but it is not on merit.
VW is super boring to look at compared to the Chinese designed cars - they are super cool to look at, both on the outside but also on the inside. We need more of these in Denmark.
did I hear this right? zeeker x7 charging is like, 490km can be charged in 11mins? That's some insane tech , it's charging time comparable to putting in oil.
This VW I.D UNYX looks like Cupra Tavascan here in the EU, for me, Geely is doing an amazing job with its brands like Zeekr, and Polestar :) Great video
The thing that legacy brands do best is tempering consumer expectations. These cars on show can very well be just conecpts that they can use to fill their booths for years to come. But the Chinese brands, what you see is what you can buy.
Chinese car just knows how to make good looking cars too. Can't say the same about European or american. And boy, so much practical solution I rarely see on more expensive "western" cars
Many Chinese car makers employed the renowned designers from Europe. The difference though, is that there is not much limitation on what they are allowed to design, and they can go as creative as they want.
In case someone don't know, seat tavascan are manufactured in the same factory as vw unyx in china, which means tavascan may also face 100% tariff since they are produced in China.
The ID Unix is the Cupra Tavascan over here in Germany. I did a test drive on Monday. The car is fun to drive and the UI is way better than before. But it costs 54.000 € over here single engine and has only 135 kW/h charging speed, at least that's what the salesman told me. So you'll easily need 30+ minutes to get it from 10-80%. The consumption was okay. 19 kw/ 100km driving a little Autobahn and through the city. But we also had 30° Celsius. So the winter consumption I would assume around 23/24 kw/100 km I'm thinking about buying a new car at the end of the Year. Right now I'm considering XPeng G6, Tesla Model Y or Onvo L60 if it makes it over here in time.
Anymore small stuff? We have the yoyo pro in the UK now, problem with thqt is it costs more than the Dacia but il on holiday where the roads are narrow amd looking at these luxury wide body cars makes my bum clench thinking about it
They went with the German design philosophy in that regards solid cars are more safe in a crash. This has been proven again and again in accidents in China. Also really quite inside. The amazing thing is they get really good fuel or battery economy in these heavy vehicles not by making the car lighter. BYD CEO said safety is the greatest luxury. I own a Toyota and the difference compared to my dad's BYD sealion. It's so much nicer on highways to have a quiet interior.
It is sold elsewhere as the Cupra Tavascan, mostly the same car with only minor tweaks to design. I guess the Cupra brand just doesn't exist in China so they sell it as VW.
Seems like there was an issue, yes. It's common at auto shows, as there are dozens of microphones in a very small area, so there will be some interference.
"It looks like a SEAT" Well, that would be because the ID.Unyx is mostly a rebadged Cupra Tavascan 😁 I guess they don't sell Cupra in China and that's why they're selling it as a VW instead?
I have a bit weird question. Does china have a tariff on EV export? Here in Georgia (not dumbfkistan state) the EV import is basically free (0% car cost + some $100 for papers), how much would it cost me to get a BYD seagull or anything not longer than a GM Bolt EV?
No, it doesn't. If you wanted to get a chinese car in georgia you'd only have to pay for the car, transport and whatever fees you'd have to pay in georgia to get a license plate for it, so it would be very very cheap.
Many people in Tajikistan buy directly from china and ship there. There’s no export tax. Only shipping costs and maybe something for doing the paperwork
How is it possible that the Volkswagen ID that's exclusive for the China market looks a million times better than the EU version? This is becoming ridiculous.
Not loving the direction the exterior designs are taking, never a good time when the VW is more interesting visually when compared to the other SUVs shown
Hi There As a creator of many documentaries in my day, may I please help you with your editing. Slice a second or two from each end of your takes to make algorithms a more flowing and interesting video. Please, it’s grating to have to watch what is mostly good work ruined by poor editing. Keep up the good work otherwise!! Cheers
I have a feeling that Chinese EV automakers are light years ahead of European/USA manufacturers. The design, interior, all added features, unique UI, intuitiveness - and that's almost a standard package for the car in the price range of 45-50K USD, which is ridiculous in comparison to EU producers. I'm not even talking about the estimated range of the battery or the peak power from the single/dual motors. VW is simply boring, even the ID.UNYX - the steering wheel, the buttons on the doors are identical as in my 7-year-old VW Passat. There is no creativity in these designs - its just copying the same style 1 thousand times and increasing the price tag by about 10% every year.
If you've seen one electric washing machine, excuse me, "car", then you've seen them all. Essentially it's all the same thing, just different colors and shapes. Nothing to be excited about.
I'm convinced that these chinese car brands are superior than majority of the cars on USA roads.
That's certainly true by now, what a journey it has been though... America lagging behind China, nobody would have believed this 20 years ago
Of course, and this EVbhave cheap maintaince cost
The Chinese brands are badass. I want one here in America. They are dope af
They also come with hidden compartment for Putin agents 😅
@@borghorsa1902 yes... only trust WOKE they/them CIA agents.
@@borghorsa1902so funny
@@borghorsa1902 I'm not sure about that. But I'm quite sure Uncle Sam is watching you any where, any time.

Jesus the interior of the avatar looks like the cockpit of a spaceship. Very futuristic.
Too bad we will never see these cars in the United States! All we get are crappy GMs and Fords and boring Toyotas.
I'm just going to say these are way nicer than anything you get from the State or Europe. The fact is you want to protect your industry and make your citizens buy old style way more expensive with no options vehicles is just madness.

Great video! I love the Avatr 07!
AVATR 07 🔥🔥🔥
Don't expect too much of it. It's just a relatively ordinary car
@@RickyWang24yeah, just a very majestic looking ordinary car

I will buy this car just for its interior
Mate, it's only a tiny fraction of the show. Give us more, pls.

Another excellent review.
They cost 30k usd or 60k with tax 😢
Sad, but true...
Blame your government
Protectionism!
250k with coe
A few years later, Mexicans generally drove better but cheaper cars. I don't know if United States can still sit still.
Many China passenger vehicles are beautiful adorable nowadays.
VW is super boring to look at compared to the Chinese designed cars - they are super cool to look at, both on the outside but also on the inside. We need more of these in Denmark.
I wish Chinese EVs would hurry up and come to the UK. So far only MG and BYD, and BYD barely available.
In fact the design of the WV.UNYX is the design of the Cupra Tavascan. But Cupra doesn't exist in China as a brand, so they sell it as a WV
just 20k cheaper! 😭
did I hear this right? zeeker x7 charging is like, 490km can be charged in 11mins? That's some insane tech , it's charging time comparable to putting in oil.
4c brattery tech
Vw unix is a cupra tavascan (seat is currently dead ;( )

Lots of great cars!
Now i undressed why all these 100% tariffs lol.
The MG 7 is in the Gulf States & will be selling in Australia very soon
MG7 is also available in the Middle East, in the UAE at least anyway.
Let us know what you think about the ROX 1 SUV. I heard it looked good at the show.
Did Tesla have a stand there?
Damn your mic is so good, it filters out the remaining noise. Or did you have to edit the sound?
The MG 7 is available for sale in Saudi Arabia as well as the UAE, so it's not only for the Chinese market.
AVATR 07 ❤
Is someone have a review of Hyptec SSR car ? I thought they start delivery age ago ?
Only 11 minutes? 🙈🙈🙈 We would have loved a longer video!! 😍😍😍
Funny how when you see these you can see how much cooler Teslas could be.... And how much cheaper too
That new VW looks actually pretty cool

中国的路都很宽,中国人喜欢大一些的车。
I feel like the biggest problem with these cars, is that they are bricks. I doubt any of these are under 2,5 tons.

China is really leading the way in EVs. Maybe even in terms of quality, if not now, then within a few years.
4 cars only at the chung doo MS ? THINK THE compact VW has appeal
