This is laptop is amazing went to go see it in person way bigger than i expected i though it was gonna be a tiny bit bigger than the asus tuf but i guess not😅 im definitely going for this laptop !
I just received my strix g16 same model as this one, but my CPU usage is through the roof, and my GPU usage is around 60 to 70% with 80 frames on BF 2042.
Edit: I wasn't taking advantage of the mux switch, which to my surprise improves CPU performance as well, and now my CPU is way more efficient, and with DLSS I am getting FPS above 120 frames, which is very smooth, and now I am very satisfied with the laptop.

I have the same laptop but i'm worried that 8GB vram won't be enough especially for resident evil 4 remak and these new games how is it doing for you is 8GB vram enough?

@@ibrahimos2305 I haven't experienced black screens so far. I am using the latest driver provided by GeForce Experience, version 531.61.
@@randomgames9025 I haven't played Resident Evil 4, but you can overcome this limitation if you lower your graphics settings, especially textures. Usually, Ultra and High settings don't have many noticeable differences in visual fidelity. I am playing The Last of Us Part I, which is very unoptimized, on High settings, and it's averaging 80 FPS, so 8GB is enough.
Returned mine. Consistently in high 80’s F and always hot. Fans go into overdrive. Just couldn’t justify for that much money and chance it burning out on me

No. But again, for that amount of money, I don’t want something where I have to buy a totally separate product just to try and keep it from overheating.

@@inukadeemantha I bought the G16 model. I started playing Cyberpunk 2077 with the mux switch. I'm playing at 80-90 fps with ray tracing and everything on the highest settings. I made a manual fan curve with the Armory Create application and I am using it with a laptop cooler. I have not yet been able to exceed the temperature of 75 degrees CPU and 68-69 degrees GPU. I fixed my CPU wattage at 60 manually. Note: For some games, lower wattage values are sufficient. For example: Miles morales 40 watts and above gives the same value, so I fixed it with 40w. If you give manual values, you will not have any problems. The cooling system is great and there is no coil noise.
I forgot to mention, I bought the RTX 4070 model.
Great Video! I recently got the Asus ROG Strix G16 with Nvidia RTX 4060/8GB and I don't get more than 85Hz with the HDMI output on the external LG widescreen (3440 x 1440/160 Hz), unless I set the resolution lower, which isn't either more than 120Hz and the USB-C Thunderbolt output does not bring more than 60Hz with the current adapter at the moment! This can not be?! Why didn't Asus install a mini display port connection here??? I do not understand that!
Any fix?
@@xerogue I had bought a USB-C Thunderbolt to DisplayPort cable back then and got 144Hz on my LG monitor and 90HZ on my HP Reverb VR glasses, so it fits now!

Yesterday arrived same model and I have a problem - low FPS in games (Dark Souls, Dying Light, The Witcher 3), in games like Overwatch CS GO, Dota 2 a good 200+, but what is typical for all games is constant stuttering, FPS spikes. Like it was in cyberpunk, only even more intense. Tried play on all modes, installed the latest GPU drivers in GeForce Experience, updated everything in MyAsus and Armory Crate, updated all in Windows. The GPU works at 30-40%, how can I fix this or maybe this is not the problem?

@@michaozga7825 yeah... idk what's wrong, this stutters is annoying. In Dark Souls and even Terraria fps 50-60 and GPU works at 30-40%, in Dying Light 60-99% which is a good result, but stuttering does not disappear
This is said to be the last stable version driver no 537.58 for gpu

So why cannot get 120w for GPU? What about just running the laptop as it was when first opened. I assume it didn't have GeForce Experience downloaded.

Hello, I have a small doubt regarding the temperatures.
You said that the temperature of your room is approximately 19 degrees Celsius.
So my question is:
Assuming that my room was 10 degrees Celsius warmer than yours, then if I bought the same laptop, would mine reach temperatures 10 degrees higher, or could it even be much higher?
I mean, every +1 degree Celsius in the room could be directly reflected as +1 degree Celsius in CPU/GPU temperatures?, or inside the pc would every +1 degree Celsius from the room be multiplied even more?

It will mean your laptop has to work a lot harder. I get this question very often. It shouldn't result in 10 degrees more temp on your side. Its most likely like 6 / 8 degrees and more sound!

Nvidia rtx 4050/60/70 mobile gpu's are locked at 100 watts means you will get same fps after 100 watts. For more info you can check jarrod tech video.
