If you are having problems with climate control (heater control not working or working intermittently) in your Dodge G. Caravan and you have tested and checked all door blend actuators, the problem might be in your front climate controls assembly. It is very easy to remove it, just watch the video.

Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this.
You're welcome
Thaanks for the CLEAR video? Does anyone know if these knob climate controls are compatible and replaceable with the digital controls?
No problem. I don't think they would be replaceable. But the best way to find our is calling dodge dealer with your VIN number and asking them. They will provide info for free
Great video thanks 🙂👍☕
You're welcome
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Heat and air both coming out dash vents, I replaced both blendoors
Hi, start by checking coolant levels. If you replaced blend door actuators also make sure they are synchronized using higher end obd2 scanner which can access hvac module. If everything is good then I would start looking towards heater core and possible flush
can I replace this manual one with an automatic digital readout one from a Town and country? My rear control knob just spins and I get warmer air out of the passenger side vent than the driver vent. LED's blink also.
Hmmm to be honest I'm not sure. Caravan and Town n Country are pretty much same minivans and most of the parts are interchangeable. But I doubt you can switch climate controls panels
Hi! Great video. Noting happens when I turn on the ac/heat. Nothing - no fan, nothing. I assume the problem in the climate control module. I'll give this a try.
Hi, thank you. By the symptoms you are describing most likely your blower motor failed. It will be located just under the glovebox on the passenger side. Before replacing it make sure to check the fuses and possibly test if power is coming to it
@@QuiteAlright Thanks for the tip. I'll run that plug-in diagnostic thing tomorrow to see what's indicated. Im trying to figure out stuff on my own by watching excellent videos suuch as yours.
@@jjanson50 Thanks and good luck
My symptoms were the same as this with the addition of when switching to heat I got hot on drivers side and still cold on passenger side. Now that I replaced this I am only getting cool air. Any ideas or thoughts? This problem has plagued me for about 2 years and even my locale mechanic couldn't figure it out...
That sounds like a failed passenger blend door actuator and possible main door actuator. To test you would have to connect high end scanner and access hvac module and try to perform actuator recalibration. It will point out if and which actuators failed
oh crap....so my problem is that the lights in the two circle buttles are dying. the one in the middle for using air inside the car and circulating it. and then the one in the AC button, was hoping that it would be a simple thing but it seems like they dont disassemble all the way down and i would literally have to change the entire AC unit control section. so guess im just stuck guessing if the air is on AC or not... /sigh
Hi, yes unfortunately it sounds like you are having issues with the climate control unit. You could get it used quite cheap from a car wreckers but again you will have to replace it
How to reach you for a question
Can it go bad for just the front blower and still work for the back? I have no power at the resister.
Does your front blower work only on a specific fan speed or it does not work at all?
@@QuiteAlright not at all. Rear air works. Fuse is good no power at resister.
@@Struthunter Try inspecting wiring and electrical connector going towards blower motor resistor. Every part store sells blower motor resistor connector /w wiring. I've never had issues with it, but it is possible
