This is soo important, i never had a talk like this, ever, and so when I woke up at the age of 13 in a bed of chunky dark red blood I almost cried, I crept down the stairs and stuffed toilet paper in my underwear and sat up all night absolutely terrified. I knew what it was, briefly, but seeing it actually happened terrified me, I had no clue what to expect. So seeing you be so open, and use actual language with these children is really lovely, and really, really important.
This is : 1st so cute !!! And 2nd sooooooooooo important , I just really wish all kids where educated about periods girls AND boys so that they can know that periods are as normal as breathing. Honestly congratulations Nadya cause in the world we live in unfortunately it is not datum at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully one day we will face them as normal as they are !!!!!!!!!!!
Yes this is actually real I n school I’m in primary 6 and last year both we the girls and the boys got Tot what a period was and the cycles of it so when you get it how long you will get it when and how it goes away etc.
I was eight when I first got my period and my mother was a little bit on the not so supporting side but I watched videos and yours helped me sooooo much thank you for helping us ladies , trans men and non binary people!❤😊
This has so much information! Thank you! I already knew basically all of it anyways. But for other people, they have no clue what is happening or what’s going on. This is a great video! ❤❤ Thank you! And for everyone out there that just started. You got this. It’s scary at the beginning but if you know this stuff it would’ve be so scary. So before I started watching your videos I was like hide my pads, hide everything about periods. But know, it’s just a normal body function. So thank you for this wonderful good information! ❤❤
Absolutely fantastic, No one explained anything to my daughter she heard through the grapevine, not even her mum told her much or didn't quite explain things, me and my daughter was quite close being a daddies girl. So one day I briefly said to her "do you know about periods and stuff" and she said it her timid voice sorta daddy, so daddy had to sit down with her for 10 mins. Anyway i think she was 11 or 12 she came up to me excited and whispered "Daddy i started my period today" Brought a tear to my eye & still does thinking my little girl is slowly becoming a lady. I think mummy checked her to make sure all was well! True story (Lisa is now 40 lol)
Also, please remember that the max amount of time that you can leave in a tampon is 6 to 8 hours, though i wouldn’t recommend even keeping it in that long either! Toxic shock syndrome is no joke guys! (Tampon disease occurs if you wait too long before changing a tampon. It is also called Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). As soon as you keep a tampon in for a long time, the toxins can enter your bloodstream. After this an infection develops.)
Got my period same day as my friend after school while waiting for the late bus. There was 3 of us one of my friends had her period early so she was experienced. She told us how to use a tampon buy asking the lunch lady for an orange juice and dumped it onto a random cup for later then filled the orange juice container with water from the water fountain (the orange juice cups are the only clear container options we had). She showed us how to open a tampon and showed us what happened then gave us each 3 tampons and 2 pads. None of us are friends anymore because shit happens in middle school but I’ll never forget that cause at that time we all cared about each other and got along, and that’s all that matters. But I’ll forever be thankful for that, even if I’m not thankful for her. Just wanted to share cause i remembered it and thought it was wholesome.❤
I love watching your shorts about you talking about periods and normalizing them and i have a question of where to buy your pads I've looked every where for them
gonna save this for my future kids (if i have any) best video ever!! shoudnt be a scary thing or shouldnt have to be scared to ask for help or anything a period, love this
I was 9 when i got my first period, i turned 10 abt 6 weeks ago, but i got my period on the 13th of January. I haven’t gotten my period yet tho even tho its been like 2 months.
Thats totally normal! Your first periods are irregular and unpredictable, after maybe 1 or 2 years of having your period, it will start to be more regular and once every month.
Maybe make a bag for when you go out (like a pencil case) and it has all sorts of products you can use (pads, tampons etc) along with a plastic bag and a pair of underwear in case you bleed through. Hope this helps:)🩷
Hey girl congrats! Here’s some tips for ya :) Always carry products, no matter where you are. Keep some in your school bag, or in a small bag you take with you out places Don’t use tampons if you’re not ready! There’s no rush and they’re not for everyone Cramps suck. So take some meds if they’re getting to bad, or use a heating pad Download a period tracker app. My fav is Flo! It will help track your period and predict your next one! Remember that periods are NOT always “normal”. Which means you might not always get your period every month at the same time. It takes a while for your period to “regulate” if it ever will. Know how to make a pad out of toilet paper!! You never know when you will need this. I got my first period in the school bathroom with no products, and had to make a pad with toilet paper. Make sure you get the right pads for your flow. Here’s how the sizes work: Size 1 light flow. Size 2 moderate light Size 3 heavy moderate. Size 4 Heavy. Size 5 super heavy. And when you start wearing tampons, size down so you don’t get one too absorbent. Day 1, 2, and 3 are usually the heaviest day for most people (day 3 is my heaviest!) so size up on pad and tampons, or just buy a bigger size to use your whole period so you don’t have to buy multiple (that goes for pads only, too absorbent tampons can put u at risk for TSS 😬) Before you get in the shower/bath put the pad you’re going to wear to bed/during the day in your underwear so you can just slide them right on. I’ve taken too long to put my pad on and had blood run down my legs after getting out of the shower 🥲 This is all I can think of for now, and if you have any questions feel free to ask!
My period came when I was 10 and I had a pretty heavy-ish flow, I had no clue how often to change my pad or where to put it and it would stress me out because I was scared it was gonna leak
Hi! I never got my period but I do think I have some tips which could help! When you first get your period it will usally be very irregular meaning it won't come once a month. Your flow also may be different which is the amount you bleed. However, it is important to note that if your bleeding so much to the point were you feel faint that might be a sign to go see a doctor. Periods also can be quite painful sometimes, but if they are so painful to the point were your unable to move you should also go see a doctor aswell. The last reason for concern would be if your period lasts for a month or months, or if you dont get your period for years after your first period. I have a condition called pcos, and so I never really had a proper period, it started off normal but I never had another period! So it's also helpful to tell a trusted person when your period is so they can monitor your health!
@Leah_Badea this could be very normal, however if you do not get your period by 14 I would suggest going to a doctor because you could have pcos! (Don't worry it's nothing to serious and there are helpful medications for it)
I got my period for the first time recently no cramps YET though i have a sister to help me process this and im ten.. so did i get it early? me and my sister both got it around same time and age
I’m 11 yrs old and I don’t have my period and we had puberty class at school, but it got me so confused, when you get your first every period when the blood comes out, is it way different than pee coming out, like how do you realize you randomly didn’t just pee your pants 😅😅😅
Im 13 and im on day 1 of my period. I dont know how to use tampons. I do dance and it is really uncomfortable. I am scared to ask my mom how to use tampons. What should i do??

Wish someone taught me this when i was young. Teach them about period pains too.the pains caught me by surprise
Why do you keep doing it if it's painful?
Just stop it. Never understood why women are doing this at all
@@FreddyFartface-y7v to stop it we lose our ability to have children which is a huge sacrifice.
When I got it for the first time I knew it had pain to it but I didn’t know that I would be full on lying on my bed feeling like I’m in torture 😢😅
@@FreddyFartface-y7vI really hope your joking, if we could stop it we would.
