If you buy anything from this company, make sure you get what you are paying for. I bought a NEW Trans-AM motor from Katech that was not new; the entire left side bank was down on compression, with the number seven piston down as much as 15 percent, and out of round 2.5 thousandths. I approached this company and found out that they were not interested in correcting any of these or other issues. I will never do business with Katech again.
Don - We are sorry to hear about your experience. This is not normal. We are absolutely willing to take a look at it now or in the future. You should have an engine number on the block; right bank front deck. It will look like K-XXXX. If you send us that we would love to pull the build book and take a look at what's going on. We've been supplying the TA circuit for years with a legacy of success and stand by our products.
Are you serious? Here, let me throw you a bone...The "505hp" is the factory rated HP which is at the crank (Motor HP) What he is talking about is RWHP (Rear-wheel horsepower) which is the power the car actually puts to the ground after drivetrain loss, etc. Most C6Z's dyno in the 430-445 range in terms of RWHP. His car is now 545rwhp which is 600+ crank HP. When you hear car guys talking about what a car dyno'd or what it "puts to the ground" they mean RWHP.
@@@kevinbreese5739 you are correct sir on your #s although Katech must have used a very small cam 545rwhp is very minimal RPM,LMR, LG, and AMP all have similar set ups with well over 600+rwhp on the LS7
At the m1 track nice.

Just me or does it sound like valve train noise is still there
That is the sound of pushrods . Pushrod motors always have this sound
Just sounded like a solid cam Mine sounds a lot softer 15k no problems
I'm not sure what the camera audio is picking up but it sounds great in person.
Do a q'8
