Hi guys, coming to this reaction a bit late...6 months late, but hear me out here. Yeah, Burning Witches debuted in 2017, and they already have 5 albums out, including thus Dark Tower one, which is their 5th. I liken them to an all-female Painkiller-era Judas Priest. Their look, and their sound has that 80s Judas Priest vibe. Now then, the nice young lady...sorry, forgot your name, said that she was looking for some new music in the vive of the 80s, well, check this out...Burning Witches former guitarist, Sophie Lloyd, started her own band called Cobra Spell, which again is an all-female band, and they're doing really old school 80s Hard Rock/Metal stuff. They just released their debut album, "666" and from the few singles they've released from it so far, it's really got that 1987, 1988 vibe going for it. They even like covering old W.A.S.P. somgs. And what's really cool about this band is that they hired a guitarist straight from UA-cam/Twitch. Her name is Noelle dos Anjos. She's got ger own UA-cam channel and she put up a video explaining how she got the gig with the band. Very cool story. Very sweet girl too. But yeah, check out their song "666" by Cobra Spell. You may think it's devilish, but it's actually a song about turning 16. It's just a play on the sound of 16....16...666... Get it?

Right away I could tell the girl was fun and smart then after I watched the whole thing I see all 3 of you have 'IT' The Secret Sauce ..The Secret Formuler( or however Mr.Crabbs calls it) Anyway highly impressed and will keep a lookout for more of your stuff. Am about to look at your links now. Im sure you already know your winners but this is the first time I ever seen/ listened to you so it means more. My communication skills are weak but have a smart brain stem( just no brain grew on it) 😊. Seriously, though, I hope somehow my message makes it to you.
I love this song. For me, the guitar sound is strongly reminiscent of Crimson Glory, from around 1989. And the sound of the vocals is ringing bells of recognition in my head, too, but I cannot place it. It's not Rock Goddess, it's not Bitch, it's not anything like Warlock or Leather or Lita Ford or Vixen, but it is still so familiar, and trying to work out why it's familiar is driving me nuts.

It's one of the characteristics of heavy metal or thrash metal. "The raw". Guitar distortion is the main highlight here. It's to create an aggressive vibe from the music. Heavy or thrash metal bands usually sound like that. So if you listen to symphonic metal, you won't really feel the guitar distortion. Of course there is guitar distortion, but the main highlights are the orchestra and the choir.

I've been a fan of Burning Witches now since their 3rd album, (this is their 5th), and I'm not getting any Iron Maiden vibes with their sound, even though this Courtney Coxx from the Iron Maidens is with them now. Maiden has that signature galloping sound from Steve Harris' bass. I don't hear that at all with BW.
