I was at this show to see Sonic Youth. I remember walking out and saying to my buddy that “I really liked that opening band better” lol.
Love the fact that rare Nirvana stuff is still popping up 30 years later..keep up great work!
All credits to MZ ! It's a shame this is uploaded to youtube tbh
i know I am kinda randomly asking but do anybody know a good site to stream new series online?
Indeed. I knew that the band toured with SY but I had no Idea of this gig
@@therealkurdt94 mz?
If it wasn't written that Kurt let the audience play his guitar I wouldn't have known
I doubt that this really happened.
@@janbresters1005 not with that attitude it didn't
@@janbresters1005lmao such a stupid comment
This performance of breed is INTENSE. Dales backing vocals add a lot
The guitar solo from in bloom has to be my favorite.
mine too. also i love your name
@@hii-rr9uj thanks, I'm from Washington, everyone there is named Kurt
\_( ' _ ' )_/
@@kurtjordan2800 except for that one dude named Reginald Jamieson Twiddlefingers the 4th. I met him at a truck stop once...
Love dales drumming and background vocals on about a girl it really gives it a really punky sound.
I had this version of verse chorus verse (in his hands) on a burned CD back in 98 and it's awesome to hear the set it came from .. and to know it was a soundcheck song .. so awesome
Yess! This was the first version I ever heard, and couldn’t find it again for years. I always thought it sounded like a studio rehearsal/demo but sound check makes total sense now
dale crover is a solid drummer, holy shit
The American Bonzo. Watch him in the Melvin's, what a talent
I really like how Dale Crover makes back vocals in Dive refrains
Kurt:
*let's others play his guitar *
Crowd playing Kurt's guitar:
*sounds exactly like a kurt cobain solo"
Kurt:
*smiles*
thanks for the upload, gonna listen to it while i do my homework today!
"scoff' with 3piece riffsounds amazing..🤘🤘🤘
Always great to hear Verse Chorus Verse
I had this show on cassette (taped off bootleg CD) Back in the 90's!
Thank's for uploading, ive got the cd from back then. This sounds so clean, on the boot i have, taped on some - 80s tape recorder, on a over n over used old tape. Love the sound check, the voice on In Bloom, Verse Corse Verse, love it. Saved my night, a Nirvana show and a Big Bud marijuana joint. Godnight from Sweden. Ola "Beeswax-78"
feels like im in high school again. feels like kurt never died. just took a break
Was waiting for this as I saw Mike uploaded on the forum yd. Great job as usual RareNirvana! Hope everything is ok with you!
When you Will realise New covers? We are waiting for you
Your cool.
@@shvec9730 Hope to do some new stuff over the holidays.
What did you do all this months?
@@shvec9730 lol, lived my life.
Dale Crover is an absolute beast at the drums
I was there. Still have my bootleg t shirt from this show. Sonic youth shot a “music video” at the end of their set that was a prank on the audience. Thurston just screaming “you’re smoking? I didn’t know you smoked” while they played total distortions as a guy with a super 8 camera ran around the stage.
I absolutely love this little nugget of time right here in the Nirvana timeline. And for it to be soundboard is choice 👌
Kurt liked this show. Kurt loved Dale, Sonic Y, big LA venue (for pre grunge era standards). I think Goo was a huge inspiration for Kurt to write the poppier Nevermind hooks. Goo opened a door into the cool 90s, it bended your ear but it rocked
Very nice and good old days, tanks for sharing 🤟💀🥀🏴☠️💘
Very epic to hear VCV live would really love to hear the VCV Tape tho
We have the proper tracklist along with dates/venues for each song thanks to Robert Fisher (Nirvana's art director). We already have most of the songs as soundboard recordings, bar 3 tracks. So it's not as much of a holy grail anymore.
@@90sArchive It’s like grasping at straws these days. I’m always pleased when new sources of great shows like these make it out; original boot cut all the banter; paid 30 bucks for this show in 1994ish.. They recorded all their shows (at least per Craig Montgomery iirc), don’t get why they don’t offer the shows, even if it’s just the house mix. Kinda like RHCP has done.
Good thing this was recommended to me, nice job yt algorythm. Instantly subbed to you just for uploading this, thanks :)
Damn why wasn’t I alive in the 90s
This is rlly good
The quality is great thanks for the upload🤘🏻
Who's playing drums in this show? Certainly isn't Dave and it isn't Chad either, is it Dale Crover?
Yes, Dale Crover played at all Nirvana shows during the Sonic Youth's "Goo" 1990 Tour.
It's Crover. There's a specific way he plays In Bloom that's not at all like Chad or Dave's style.
@@ryanstroup8379 sounds like when I try it
Not gonna lie his style is pretty cool with In Bloom, it’s different.
Also Breed sounds so fast with Dale on drums to me
He was in happy relationship at that time. I believe he was. He really loved Tobi 💞
Awesome, thanks for uploading it!!
I will Neverfade but I was here at this concert
Wow thank you this is amazing!
Verse Chorus Verse Live, interesting
CROVER SINGS: "SHE SAID" SOUNDS COOL
I just realized I had this on a vinyl I bought at fucking guitar center lmao
He is in top voice here.
Best version vocal Floyd the barber I like :)
Awesome 🤩 🤩 !! Thank you so much 😁😁
Awesome, thanks
I used to have this on a bootleg and I thought the sound on that mix was great, now I can hear the cymbals, etc lol
Another great fuckin upload. Thanks!
esta excelente la calidad del audio muy bueno :D
Genial, ¿De dónde eres? Te invito a ver mis covers en mi canal de UA-cam.
Floyd The Barber sound`s amazing , YEAH NIRVANAMANIA FOR>EVER>
Dale Crover on drums
Thank you very rare 🇧🇷
haha when they start playing verse chorus verse during the sound check kris starts to play it and kurt says “oh yeah that one”
That weekend lineup is insane.
Friday: Soni Youth, Nirvana , STP
Sunday: Suicidal Tendencies, Exodus, Pantera
Would love to have been there.
I was at this show, I even did a stage dive during Sonic youth! LOL
lovely
"We're Nirvana and we particularly don't like heavy metal"
Stupid thing about Kurt Cobain. Back them he had Peace Sells but who's buying (1986) best heavy metal álbum that kick the ass of all Cobain's work.
heavy metal sucks
@@chadwickmcfaggins9734 , you suck.
punk rock > heavy metal
Yea punk is better than metal metal is still good tho just not as good as this this is god tier
Alot of Hollywood players claimed to be in the house on this night..
this is the live show they used for the jam on sunset album
Perfect
Dale🤘❤!
This is so good I want to stick my head in the microwave 🤘🏻
😝
Dale crover in drums great
Do you have a download link for this please?? It sounds incredible!
Wow💙
Dale's In bloom beat kinda reminds me of Scentless Apprentice in a few parts....
Fck yeah. Thx. M8
Met my first wife at this concert :)
Would you please upload again all of the video the channel used to have?

whoa drumming? it's too aggressive to be chad but too different from Dave's style. is it dale?
Who is playing drums??? is it Chad? it sounds like he forgot all the parts.
Dale Crover. Chad last show was in May 1990 pretty sure.
Lmao I think it sounds way better than normal because Dale Crover is among the best drummers the band ever played with period

Dale Crover > Dave Grohl.
Change my mind.
It's just my opinion, don't kill me haha
Dale Crover and Dave Grohl are the 2 Best Drummers Nirvana Used in their Band.... But I gotta Say during this 8-show West Coast Tour Opening up for Sonic Youth with Dale Crover on Drums,, I don't really like Dale's Backing Vocals they don't Harmonize good with Kurt's Vocals, and I think Dave Grohl's Backing Vocals go well along with Kurt's Vocals... and Dave Grohl is an Animal, Dave's First show with Nirvana October 11, 1990 North Shore Surf Club, Olympia WA during "Dive" Dave Breaks his Snare Drum from hitting so Hard... Plus Dave always played with the Drumsticks upside down hitting the drums with the Fatter end of the Sticks... I don't ever remember hearing or seeing Dale breaking any skins on his Drums.... but I noticed in January 1994 to March 1, 1994 Dave Grohl started wearing Gloves while he Drummed, which was something Dale Crover always Done... (Sometimes Dale with just play Drums in his Underwear and Gardening Gloves)... but both Drummers are great,
@@rychcorporhate I would throw in also Mudhoney's erstwhile drummer Dan Peters, just one gig I think but Peters was/is a great drummer.
@@1111makala Dan Peters played on the Recording of "Sliver" on July 11, 1990 at reciprocal recording during a TAD Recording Session , while TAD was out on a Dinner Break Nirvana came in and used TAD's Equipment (well of course Kurt used his own guitar and pedals as Kurt played Lefty), and they banged out 2 takes of Sliver. (Sliver Instrumental, and Sliver that was released as a single in October 1990/January 1991), and on Incesticide Compilation (December 15, 1992) and Dan Peters played only one show with Nirvana September 22, 1990 Motor Sports International Garage Seattle WA. (And though Dan Peters drumming style fits great in Mudhoney it just doesn't sound good in Nirvana).
And Dan Peters showed up at Krist's house the following day September 23, 1990 for a Photo Shoot for the UK Fanzine "Sounds" Kurt & Krist told Dan he didn't need to come but he showed up anyways, mean while Dave Grohl was at Krist's house as well as you see Dave behind Kurt in the Photo of Kurt holding up his Can of "Prairie belt boy sausages" and 2 days later on September 25, 1990 At Nirvana's Rehearsal Space "The Dutchman" Seattle WA for a Try-Out with Dave Grohl on Drums, and later that day when Kurt did that solo Acoustic Performance on KAOS Community Radio Evergreen State College on the "Boy Meets Girl" Show Kurt announced that Nirvana has a New Drummer and his name is Dave Grohl... Without ever Telling Dan Peters he wasn't in the band.
I reported this comment.
No need. This is a true statement.
My god grohl saved this band
this rocks doesnt sound grunge. pearl jam rocks but dont sound grunge or metal...then all these rocking bands which did sound grunge or metal came along and what happened marys danish rocks but not grunge metal
Dale’s handwriting is bad
