Haven't played Neo yet, but the first TWEWY is my favorite game of all time ♥ The whole OST is awesome, but my favorite track is "Three Minutes Clapping" 👏👏👏
Finally twewy ost gets some recognition, it's so fucking good. I think I enjoy more the OG OST rather than the remixes or the new ones on NTWEWY, but Breaking Free is such an absolute banger
Was really hoping I'd hear you show some love to Falcom and Sound team jdk. They have some really banger tracks I'm sure you'll love and Falcom has been at it for 40 years as a game publisher being one of the oldest still going (they celebrated their 40 anniversary a couple of months back)
Few years back I happened to notice that I listen more video game soundtracks than mainstream music. I am not sure why, but I do find it different and more than often more melodic and enjoyable to listen. Glad to see that I am not the only one who appreciate the beauty of music that has been composed for video games :)
The Pathless is a great game, other game that Wintory made the soundtrack for is Abzu that is pretty great, too! And Lena Raine is amazing, I got the curiosity to play this Chicory Game just by listening to these tracks you showed here!!! Celeste is one of my favorite games of all time!!! Oh, and I enjoy your channel very much, but never commented, so, congrats for this amazing content!
Composer Yoko Shimomura, check her out specifically the Legend of Mana music. She has 30+ years in the industry including key titles such as: Kingdom Hearts, Breath of Fire, Mana series, Final Fantasy 15 and the Mario & Luigi series.
Oh man, Austin Wintory is one of my favorite composers ever. Playing through Journey for the first time was one of the most amazing gaming experiences I've ever had. TWEWY is also an amazing game with a great soundtrack!
There’s something I’ve always wondered about twewy’s soundtrack, both games use several different genres and musicians, but for some reason, every time I hear a song from the games even before I’d played them I would know where it came from, and that those songs went together, like as different as they are they are all distinctly twewy
Hey alex! At the end you showed a snippet of your vocals over the piano melody. Would you please do a video on how to get your vocals to sound like that!
Hi Alex, would you mind reviewing some of Houseki no Kuni's soundtrack? It's not a video game, but the soundtrack's iconic nonetheless. Some of the bests are "Lunarians" and "Sunspot". I think they used my country's traditional instrument, the gamelan. I was ecstatic when I heard it, it's not everyday that traditional Indonesian instruments are used in anime soundtracks.
The Pathless... Has been listening to it's OST an insane amount since it's release. I just love Austin's work... It inspires me, helped me with my art block and depression. The wonders born from his mind never fail to amaze me.
A painfully underrated soundtrack imo is anarchy reigns Whilst it isnt like video game music in a traditional sense more a rap heavy backing track The music in that game is amazing
Man, you need to watch Genshin concert That was SOOOOO SICK For me Tartaglias themes was best, but there sooooo much fantastic music AND YOU NEED TO SEE AT MAN WHO PLAYS ON PIANO FOR SECOND TARTAGLIA THEME (Never ending perfomance) his hands just sooo quick
Thumbnail: TWEWY Video Content: TWETY NEO They are not the same, music is completely different between the games. And the first one is way better IMHO.
I immediately loved the NEO: TWEWY soundtrack the moment I heard it. I remembered the game from my childhood but I never got to play it until its PC release. Someday is my favourite.
I know you get houndreds of request but I invite you to check Astral Chain's soundtrack. It was developed by Platinum Games so you might know what to expect.
Alex ! The extra bass you boosted on "Chase" is sooo sick man ! 7:30 You inspired me to look up that OST version of the song, as good as it is, it isn't the same without that incredible bass you tossed in there ! Kudos to you ! You make me want to play the bass section of a piano with pop and flow of a bass guitar!
The world ends with you has so many layers of different types of art mixed together so well: music, grafitti, clothes, visual design of the hud, gameplay design (in the original DS version)...
I dont know if is alex taste, but i found alot of interesting stuff in remixes made for wasteland 3. I would love to know his opinions. But gotta love this recomendations, I would go crazy for any more recomendations, I found so much good stuff in those : "This sounds alot like this other cool thing...", and me like: tipe that down!! tipe that down!!
Hello! Alex! I'm a subscriber watching your video in Korea. Can you review my favorite game OST? If you do it, I'll be really happy. You'll like this music because it's like an orchestra. ua-cam.com/video/Ez-qiX8UDg0/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/Hsff75nHiUg/v-deo.html
I remember seeing some time ago a post in which you said you were trying to find a way to make videos about smaller/niche game soundtracks while keeping it fresh for the majority of people that may not know them, while trying to work with the algorithm, and man, I gotta say that I'm glad that you did this! While I was here primarily because of NEO:TWEWY, the other two ones blew my mind too, and I'm all in for this! Keep up the great work!
This is why I tend prefer playing niche & unknown titles like Ar Tonelico, Guilty Gear, ect. You stumble across lots of amazing soundtracks that blow everything else out the water, and all you did was check out something unusual
Hello, just providing some much needed traffic since YT doesn't like things that aren't at the top of the popularity charts. Also as far as "music you probably haven't heard of goes", I have to recommend Radiant Historia. Not only is it my favorite game but Yoko Shimomura just goes ham on the OST for this one.
chicory is so charming and beautiful, and the music that lena raine composed for it is just mind-blowing. every time a new track was introduced in the game i had to stop and listen. it has easily become one of my favorite soundtracks ever and i listen to it every day haha, i'm so happy that you included it in this video
If you're interested, the soundtracks for Baten Kaitos: Origins and Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean are worth a listen. They were composed by Motoi Sakuraba, known for his work on the Dark souls and Tales of soundtracks. The games themselves didn't have much advertising but are quite enjoyable with a turn-based card orientated combat system. The stories are the best part, imho. In the latter game, the main character actually betrays the player in a twist you'll never see coming.
But you just... spoiled the twist, so now he will see it coming? Seems a weird thing to try and mention. i LOVE Baten Kaitos, but spoiling that twist in any fashion kinda... takes way from it, no?
Nothing makes me happier than twewy getting recognition the game deserve It so much, Thanks Alex And everyone pls try the game i promise you wont regret it
I see TWEWY. I click And yes, all the love to Neo and its diversity. It's just such a vibrant cocktail of beats that you're head's always bumping to one beat or another. Also, glad to see you finally got to make this video since you were worried about making it as these are "unpopular" games. Hopefully, this does well. ...And yet another reminder to play Pathless
This video was awesome! These musics really are worth sharing. I don't if you're gonna read this, but if I would share some "banger VGM that I don't think you've heard", I'll say you to look for: Phyrnna - the composer of Epic Battle Fantasy (3, 4 and 5) and Bullet Heaven (1 and 2). You can find her music here on UA-cam DM Dokuro - the composer of the Calamity mod (a terraria mod). You can find his music here on UA-cam, and the album "A tale of a cruel world" on bandcamp.
You should listen and react to some of the Touhou Project OST. I will give you some suggestions, so pick what you like: UN Owen was her, EoSD Lunar Clock, Paradise - Deep Mountain, EoSD Shanghai teahouse, Bad Apple!! (this is not an OST, but an extremely popular pop remix), ... There are just too many to list. You can also scroll through this ua-cam.com/play/PL84D03A4C0FFBBE36.html
I got into TWEWY late but oh my god I fell in love with the series so much. The world, the characters, the presentation, the gameplay and especially the soundtrack, I listen to it all the time. As someone who is often pressured by my family to be how they want me to be breaking free speaks to me so much, I love this song.
Library of Ruina, Deemo, and Touhou are my personal picks for games with killer soundtracks, that do not get enough attention (at least in the west bc Touhou is HUGE in Japan.) Deemo is kinda cheating because it’s a rhythm game, but it really does have a uniqueness all to itself. Library of Ruina is a really well-done game that uses its tracks in a neat way, and I will NEVER stop shilling that game. Also dear lord, the Touhou remixes.
I saw Twewy in the thumbnail so I'll say i love the og soundtrack of Twewy because they're just so many genres to listen to and they all fit the tone of the game so nicely i have my faves but they're all songs you wouldn't think come from a game (except if you listen the lyrics of some lol) When it comes to Neo haven't played it but Storm definitely is my fave so far
The good thing about TWEWY songs is that even if it doesn't relate to you, you can still connect the dots about how the songs relate to the characters of the game. The soundtrack share something about them, about the town and over all mindsetof people living there. It sounds like something you'd hear in the radio because it IS exactly that. The songs playing in the stores, people's headphones, etc. Story tracks are more like representation of their emotional state.
Absolutely love Lena Raine. That second Chicory song gave me actual goosebumps. Also this was a fantastic video! Loved hearing you remix them. So cool!
For me, Ratchet & Clank (2002) OST is one of the more unique soundtracks out there due to the composer David Bergeaud incorporating breakbeat, Jungle, and DnB together into the orchestral tracks. It feels like a DJ was told to make some tracks based on the visual appearances of the quirky levels/planets you play in.
There hasn't been a good soundtrack for Ratchet since his departure if you ask me. His music was perfect for the series and always brought the different planets more to life with his score.
Chicory was one of my favorite soundtracks this year for sure! "uoY ma I" is my favorite track. Emi Evans (of NieR fame) also sings a lovely track on the OST.
The soundtrack for NEO: TWEWY kicks much ass... and is also quite disappointing to me, as a hardcore fan of the original. The sounds in the original soundtrack were so diverse yet distinct, it was like an underground music club where the vocalist from the rock band would lend her voice to the EDM DJ, and the regular performers would sometimes cover/remix each other, or even collaborate. That kind of sound is just so absolutely perfect for a story that's up to it's eyeballs in street culture. However, in NEO, every song sounds like it's performed by one band, and while they do cycle out a few different vocalists, the vocal tracks for some of the NEO versions of returning songs, like "Three Minutes Clapping" or "Ooparts", sound, to my untrained ears, like they might just be sampled straight from existing versions of the songs...
I didn’t like P5 OST. Boring, repetitive and generic. While some tracks are really good and Lyn Inaizumi does a really good job, it’s not enough to save the whole ost.
I say by far touhou sound track is the most popular underrated video game soundtrack that a lot of people should give a change (especially the rearrangements by fans)
What is your favorite track from these 3 game OSTs?

Cheers for supporting the channel on Patreon gang, I literally wouldn't be able to make these videos as often if it wasn't for you all 🙏
From NEO:twewy my favorite track is hands down “Shibuya Survivor”. I had chills the first time I heard on the last day of week 2.
Love it always looking for good music for D&d. Thanks.
Twister (Gang-Mix) [feat.MJR] from the TWEWY soundtrack is probably my favourite (also yeah, the singer for Breaking Free goes hard and it's great)
Dinners, the Big City - Chicory, is easily one of my favorites of all time, and it features none other than Carlos Eiene, insaneintherain!
I like Bird in the Hand from NEO: TWEWY but my favourite one is Transformation from the original TWEWY (Neo mix is cool too but the original is just...wow)
The World Ends With You was actually the first game my wife and I finished together. Great soundtrack, great game.

Was really hoping I'd hear you show some love to Falcom and Sound team jdk. They have some really banger tracks I'm sure you'll love and Falcom has been at it for 40 years as a game publisher being one of the oldest still going (they celebrated their 40 anniversary a couple of months back)
That remix you did of the Pathless song legit sounds like a Tekken stage theme and I am all over that!
Man I wish he would do some of the hotline miami 1-2 ost. That stuff is pretty awesome
What remix of Chase was that?
Ciao Alex, che ne pensi della OST di Rage Racer?
Composer Yoko Shimomura, check her out specifically the Legend of Mana music. She has 30+ years in the industry including key titles such as: Kingdom Hearts, Breath of Fire, Mana series, Final Fantasy 15 and the Mario & Luigi series.
I like the term "super expert people" lol
Oh man, Austin Wintory is one of my favorite composers ever. Playing through Journey for the first time was one of the most amazing gaming experiences I've ever had. TWEWY is also an amazing game with a great soundtrack!
I love twewy as much as the next guy, but the soundtracks to both games is not good.
There’s something I’ve always wondered about twewy’s soundtrack, both games use several different genres and musicians, but for some reason, every time I hear a song from the games even before I’d played them I would know where it came from, and that those songs went together, like as different as they are they are all distinctly twewy
I love twewy im happy i found it recently
Hey alex! At the end you showed a snippet of your vocals over the piano melody. Would you please do a video on how to get your vocals to sound like that!
I'm still demanding that we hear "One Winged Chocobo". That, or riot.
Do you ever plan on releasing a full version of the remix you did for the pathless? its so GOOD
seconded! :)
The mix at 4:57 sounds like something from Dance with the Dead
I'd highly recommend Chicory. As long as you're not an FPS junkie it's a neat game to try out.
Devil survivor soundtrack is awesome too. Done by the late Takami Asano.
Takeharu Ishimoto FFVII Crisis Core the price of freedom brings back the feels when i played FF7 Crisis Core on the psp.
A very underrated soundtrack is everhood
The music goes so hard
A painfully underrated soundtrack imo is anarchy reigns
Whilst it isnt like video game music in a traditional sense more a rap heavy backing track
The music in that game is amazing
Great video, Zeptogram! Btw “transformation” is my favorite song from Neo:TWEWY, it hyped me up so much during the game.
Man, you need to watch Genshin concert
That was SOOOOO SICK
For me Tartaglias themes was best, but there sooooo much fantastic music
AND YOU NEED TO SEE AT MAN WHO PLAYS ON PIANO FOR SECOND TARTAGLIA THEME (Never ending perfomance) his hands just sooo quick
Love the fact that your giving love to TWEWY!! That game got some amazing soundtrack!
Thumbnail: TWEWY
Video Content: TWETY NEO
They are not the same, music is completely different between the games. And the first one is way better IMHO.
you should try sing my pleasure grace ver. next btw sick vid
The World Ends With You is my shit. Remember playing the original when it came out on the DS, and knowing that I had to share it with all my friends
Twewy has a special place in mu heart.
My favorite music is "The calling" from the first game, i dont know if its in the second game but its a banger
I immediately loved the NEO: TWEWY soundtrack the moment I heard it. I remembered the game from my childhood but I never got to play it until its PC release. Someday is my favourite.
I'm a simple person... I see a video about videogame music with Neku in the thumbnail, I click immediately.
Surprised you didn't mention NEO's "Last Call" - personally love that track.
I know you get houndreds of request but I invite you to check Astral Chain's soundtrack. It was developed by Platinum Games so you might know what to expect.
Alex ! The extra bass you boosted on "Chase" is sooo sick man ! 7:30
You inspired me to look up that OST version of the song, as good as it is, it isn't the same without that incredible bass you tossed in there !
Kudos to you ! You make me want to play the bass section of a piano with pop and flow of a bass guitar!
The world ends with you has so many layers of different types of art mixed together so well: music, grafitti, clothes, visual design of the hud, gameplay design (in the original DS version)...
Spiritual banger is now my favorite
Can we get more Alex voice covers???
People should listen more to Shadow Hearts series OST. I'm very surprised that there are many people who didnt know of these series.....
God i love Austin Wintory's scores, amazing works
I saw Neku,, suddenly get a "calling"
Daughter of the dark god when?
I dont know if is alex taste, but i found alot of interesting stuff in remixes made for wasteland 3. I would love to know his opinions.
But gotta love this recomendations, I would go crazy for any more recomendations,
I found so much good stuff in those : "This sounds alot like this other cool thing...", and me like: tipe that down!! tipe that down!!
I entered the video because
The World Ends With You
Hello! Alex! I'm a subscriber watching your video in Korea. Can you review my favorite game OST? If you do it, I'll be really happy. You'll like this music because it's like an orchestra.

That trance remix of The Pathless is ethereal omg. Full version where
*spotifies every game OST mentioned*
*Also wouldnt mind if this was a monthly or bi-monthly series you start up*
Music related, saw Neku in the thumbnail, had to click, it's the law
I remember seeing some time ago a post in which you said you were trying to find a way to make videos about smaller/niche game soundtracks while keeping it fresh for the majority of people that may not know them, while trying to work with the algorithm, and man, I gotta say that I'm glad that you did this! While I was here primarily because of NEO:TWEWY, the other two ones blew my mind too, and I'm all in for this! Keep up the great work!
Sayonara Wild Hearts has a really good soundtrack. It would be cool if you did a reaction video on the OST 🙂
This is why I tend prefer playing niche & unknown titles like Ar Tonelico, Guilty Gear, ect. You stumble across lots of amazing soundtracks that blow everything else out the water, and all you did was check out something unusual
Damn that I miss Ar Tonelico. 😢
ar tonelico is incredible musically
Imma recommend guilty gear's weeby cousin blazblue too, that OST is so good.
@@AlexanderMartinez-kd7cz Blazblue's got some great tunes as well, though I admit i havent been keeping up to date with it lol
@@APrinnyDood yeah havent gotten a new one since bbcf.
Unless you count crosstag e.e
Hey Nyi, I picked up Celeste because of your playthrough! I may need to pick up Chicory too if both you and Alex are talking about it.
Hoping you can do a music reaction to Shin Megami Tensei music
If you're interested, the soundtracks for Baten Kaitos: Origins and Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean are worth a listen. They were composed by Motoi Sakuraba, known for his work on the Dark souls and Tales of soundtracks. The games themselves didn't have much advertising but are quite enjoyable with a turn-based card orientated combat system. The stories are the best part, imho. In the latter game, the main character actually betrays the player in a twist you'll never see coming.
Not Final Fantasy, but rather Tales of soundtracks. 😁
But you just... spoiled the twist, so now he will see it coming? Seems a weird thing to try and mention. i LOVE Baten Kaitos, but spoiling that twist in any fashion kinda... takes way from it, no?
Yesssss Neo/TWEWY
A person that talks about Baten Kaitos. Now das rare. Good game good plot twist good soundtrack
Nothing makes me happier than twewy getting recognition the game deserve It so much, Thanks Alex
And everyone pls try the game i promise you wont regret it
Alex, what do I have to do to get a whole video dedicated to The World Ends with you? 🙏🏾
I see TWEWY.
I click
And yes, all the love to Neo and its diversity.
I don't if you're gonna read this, but if I would share some "banger VGM that I don't think you've heard", I'll say you to look for:
Phyrnna - the composer of Epic Battle Fantasy (3, 4 and 5) and Bullet Heaven (1 and 2). You can find her music here on UA-cam
DM Dokuro - the composer of the Calamity mod (a terraria mod). You can find his music here on UA-cam, and the album "A tale of a cruel world" on bandcamp.
This thumbnail is what I've been waiting to see. Talk to them Alex! LET THEM KNOW!
YES TWEWY MUSIC ANALYSIS!!!
You should listen and react to some of the Touhou Project OST. I will give you some suggestions, so pick what you like:
UN Owen was her, EoSD Lunar Clock, Paradise - Deep Mountain, EoSD Shanghai teahouse, Bad Apple!! (this is not an OST, but an extremely popular pop remix), ...
There are just too many to list. You can also scroll through this ua-cam.com/play/PL84D03A4C0FFBBE36.html
TWEWY finally getting some exposure
Great reaction! Thanks! Now Raiden Shogun battle theme left :D
Never thought I'd see another man who leaves his shirt unbuttoned like I do.
Edit: Also, TWEWY fuck yeah.
Gotta look like Joshua you know
Reads the title: "Hmmm, let's check that statement"
"Yep, never heard any of that. Thank you very much!" - My ears
I see TWEWY on the thumbnail - I like the video
I've never heard these musics before, but definitely gonna check them out!
A "part 2" of this video would be really nice!
I got into TWEWY late but oh my god I fell in love with the series so much. The world, the characters, the presentation, the gameplay and especially the soundtrack, I listen to it all the time. As someone who is often pressured by my family to be how they want me to be breaking free speaks to me so much, I love this song.
Trust me bro, I'd never sleep on TWEWY's soundtrack. Square Enix has made their fair share of bad games, but they've never made a bad soundtrack
I saw Twewy in the thumbnail so I'll say i love the og soundtrack of Twewy because they're just so many genres to listen to and they all fit the tone of the game so nicely i have my faves but they're all songs you wouldn't think come from a game (except if you listen the lyrics of some lol)
When it comes to Neo haven't played it but Storm definitely is my fave so far
The good thing about TWEWY songs is that even if it doesn't relate to you, you can still connect the dots about how the songs relate to the characters of the game. The soundtrack share something about them, about the town and over all mindsetof people living there. It sounds like something you'd hear in the radio because it IS exactly that. The songs playing in the stores, people's headphones, etc. Story tracks are more like representation of their emotional state.
OOOOOOOOOOOHH TAKE A LOOK AT MEEEEEE
I KNOW IM NOT THE PERFECT BOY YOU
WANT ME TO BEEEEEEEEEE
Absolutely love Lena Raine. That second Chicory song gave me actual goosebumps.
Also this was a fantastic video! Loved hearing you remix them. So cool!
OMG finally someone aknownledges TWEWY's great soundtracks!
However, in NEO, every song sounds like it's performed by one band, and while they do cycle out a few different vocalists, the vocal tracks for some of the NEO versions of returning songs, like "Three Minutes Clapping" or "Ooparts", sound, to my untrained ears, like they might just be sampled straight from existing versions of the songs...
can you PLEASE release what you made for PATHLESS?
i never had such a creative burst of inspiration in a while and that just did it for me
Neo: the world end with you is just ost of the year for me
TWEWY and NEO:TWEWY have soundtracks comparable to Persona 5. They're amazing and have stuck with me all this time.
